- In this week's video, I hammock tent camp just a few minutes from the Potomac River and see the B&O Railroad for the very first time.

Please note that my backup tent was non-freestanding, and I recommend a free-standing tent and a mallet. If you're able to visit, I'm sure you'll love it!

Yes- def check regs for hanging anything off trees 🌲 not allowed in national parks nor most state parks.

When car camping I like to bring a bag of all my old bills and paperwork that I don't want to throw in the trash. When crumbled up and combined with collected dry leaves and sticks from the surroundings, of progressively small to large sizes, one can have an easy fire from a lighter alone. Decent fire in the end though. Keep it up Mandi. Only those who get out there and try, eventually master the art. :)
Hi, Outdoor Existential! Your newest video is so neat! Haha, I love that idea of taking and burning old bills. I could see myself calling the power company and asking for a new bill because I "accidentally threw mine into a campfire" hahhahaa. Way better than "my dog ate my homework." You're so sweet. I have a few fun new things to try out next weekend when I give it another try :)
