A few tips for those attempting this. 1) Remove as many of the heat shields that you can. We left the driver's side inner heat shield in place, but it was a PITA to work around. 2) We used a wrench and a pry bar to remove the top nut on the passenger side. Even though it's supposedly on at 38 ft/lbs, certainly felt a lot tighter. Loud pop once it broke free. 3) Raise the engine to aid in removing the top nut on the driver's side. 4) Penetrating oil is your friend on the heat shields. Broke one and bent another bolt. 5) Having two people to break loose the top nuts was for safety in not rounding the top nuts if working by yourself.
My engine mounts are dusted on my 350z it’s quite annoying thank you g for this. The other videos I watched didn’t show much on how to do it they just talked about how easy it was.
You can use a swivel and a few extensions to get the top bolt on the passenger side motor mount. That's how I did it. Still have to beat the shit out of the heat shields to get them off though, that part took me 2 hours and a lot of hammering.
I have been dreading installing these but you make this look so easy. How you you even get a torque wrench to tighten down the top nuts and you never mentioned using the lock tight on the nuts that comes with the mounts.
Just perfect video, A question I'm looking for test pipes I notice your car is clean does the check engine light is on with that type of test pipe? Apriciated in advanced.
Thanks man! yes it is on but that's only because I dont have a tune yet. Also if your wanting to get test pipes ask yourself if you are gonna do headers as well because if you are you will need DE test pipes for the z1 headers. If not then it wont be a problem.
My 370z is 105k miles and past couple of months the car vibrates harshly when take off and I hear loud rattling noise coming from middle of dashboard at lower speed 40mph and it quiet down at higher speed, second issue is my transmission shakes hard when starting the car and when I push in the gas padel, so do these help with the vibration and is it better than OEM?
I got megan racing reinforced mounts and they broke after about a year of hard driving. I'd 100% recommend polurthane, rubber cannot hold up to anything but easy driving
I'm thinking of buying those Megan racing for my q50, how was the vibration? I have these now and the vibration on the automatic is bad, I'll remove them
@@rizocars6115 hmm, it must be the added vibration from the auto, the VQ35 is a very harmonically balanced engine so even with poly the vibrations aren't bad even at idle but I do have manual transmission (350z)

are transmission mount only for rwd ?, I have a q50 3.7 nd been looking for a Transmission mount and can't see to find them only results I get are for rwd vq's
@@jakesscc9184 your video was perfect. I followed you on the passenger side with remove alternator brackets and wire loom. Boom out in 10 min. It does work for an auto transmission... I have it on my Sedan Journey. I have more than 1 mod so my NVH is a bit harsher, but my Mom daily drives it and has no complaints.
Jake thanks for the info..i did just what you did and it worked..i ran into one problem after the fact....my car wont go into 5th or 6th gear now..i guess i through something off when i raised the motor..any ideas anyone on whats the problem..i Googled the problem and it said that the plate under the shifter could be out out line..

actually you can use it. Do it exactly how I did it with the piece of plywood to distribute the weight. I have done this on countless of motors and so has many people I know who are master techs at Nissan and we have never had any problems with it.
this video is ten times better than any other install video
thanks man!

I need to do this to my Z. thanks for sharing this video gives me an idea of what im going to deal with
Yay someone who's not taking out the headers!
Thanks for doing this. How difficult was it to torque the top bolts down on the motor mounts? Was there enough room for the tq wrench?
Great video. I'll have to install some of these.
Good video. Finally a video with someone who doesn't act like some social media fuck boy
O
I bought them today, can't wait to install. Thanks for the video!!!
appreciate the video brotha, great walk through of install and helpful tips

How did you reach the top bolts to torque them to spec?
Would recommend the engine mounts over the transmission mount
That's actually the PS pump the harness is attached to not the ac. The AC is on the driver's side.
I have been dreading installing these but you make this look so easy. How you you even get a torque wrench to tighten down the top nuts and you never mentioned using the lock tight on the nuts that comes with the mounts.
I'm glad i can help make this an easy install for you. I would definitely use lock tight just to make sure those bolts don't move!
Thank you for sharing 👍
Please do an install video for the headers, that would be really helpful
I'm definitely going to!
Thanks for saving us time
no problem!

Love seeing other 370z build

@@jakesscc9184 can I remove the mounts without removing isr headers?
Thanks for the video man
No problem! Definitely worth the upgrade. The car feels so solid now and the shifts are really direct.

For anyone that install , does your car have a deeper tone ? I install the z1 transmission mount on g37 and it sounds louder
I have 370 and it did have deeper tone
Do you ever feel the vibration on the car with these?
The Z1 motor mounts had no tabs on them. Not too custom made if it doesn't even fit properly.
