I love watching your reviews and I totally agree with your view on the over-hyping of ‘natural’ ingredients versus ‘chemicals’ which seems to be running amok in the perfume community these days. Just because something is made with so called ‘natural’ ingredients doesn’t automatically make it better. As you point out, everything is made of chemicals at its base, even the most naturally sourced essential oil. BUT I do quite enjoy this little Fame perfume. It’s fruity, and fun, and cheerful. Not overly sweet like so many of the recent designer offerings seem to be, and great for a day when you just want to have your spirits lifted and not be too serious. I think there is a place for a scent like that. I also got the impression that Joe went into this with a slightly snobbish attitude, already decided not to like it, no matter what it smelled like, because he didn’t like the kind of tacky bottle and marketing surrounding it.
I got a sample of the new Prada Paradoxe, and I tried it on skin yesterday. It's female targeted, not ground-breaking, but I found it pleasant, and I'd like to smell it on a woman. It's just a nice easy amber, vanilla, floral, but very well done (if you consider the target audience). Fragrantica reviews are pretty brutal, but I think expectations are unrealistic. People currently want to buy safe, sweet, ambroxan-like perfumes, and that's what the designers are giving us.
Interesting, I'll check out the Prada. I think we've gone past the Ambroxan phase to the obnoxious amber xtreme and ambrocenide for men, and super syrupy sweet for women
if you haven't already, I think you need to try Tsvga parfums,his work is so up your street, he hasn't made a bad fragrance yet in my opinion. Fiona will blow your minds.
I’ve tried some of them. I did really enjoy Fiona. I found some of the others didn’t quite feel like finished perfumes. High levels of good quality naturals, for sure, but not a consistently high level of perfumer imho
Mango is one of my favourite notes but can be challenging to get right. Strangers Salted green Mango, Killin Moonlight in Heaven and oddly Polo Deep Blue very much got it right in very different ways in my opinion
I was interested to hearing what you thought of it. I’ve tried it at duty free a little while ago and found it better than most things I’ve smelled there. But I can’t smell any mango, only pineapple. I have teenage boys and am always buying them perfume samples to try, which opened my horizons a bit😂 this new generation has a very sweet tooth and a very different take on scents. I think this perfume is perfect for a teenager but is pricey. I agree there are cheaper scents that smell similar out there . I have a soft spot for paco rabanne, calandre is one of my favourites and is still in good shape
sad :( But predictable. I want a good and creative new designer release. I like the wearable facette of designer scents. But at the moment they are full of generic, sweet, candy showergel. Love you

I think the opening is ok and indeed quite unisex. After that it just goes off a cliff. Loud, cloying. Also my colleagues did not like it. Couldn‘t wash if off my hands for hours.
Fame is just a clone of Mahora by Guerlain! You guys you should try & review h24 by Hermès which is the most repulsive scent I've ever sniffed! Even worst than phantom perhaps? Jolly good review👌 Cheerio mates🥂😉

Ah, I've never smelt Mahora! Actually, we had considered H24. I thought it was quite interesting, and nowhere near as bad as Phantom
