Little Gerhard, Karl-Gerhard Lundkvist, was born may 17 1934 in Tillberga just outside of Västerås.
Succeeded through a number of amateur rock competions in the 50's. Released his first EP in 1958, the B-side What you've done to me was the big hit and crowned him Rock king of Sweden.
The Girl Can't Help It (Flickan rår inte för det ) starring Jayne Mansfield and Tom Ewell was one of the first films to take rock'n'roll seriously. With it's wonderful use of technicolor and fun images it really is a must see.
The song was first recorded by Micki Mario and Paul Anka.

This was also recorded in the U.S. as a duet by Mikki Marlo and Paul Anka on ABC Paramount
