Stumbled upon this video and love these older ski boats! I use a product called on off hull cleaner. All you need to go is spray it on and rinse it off with a hose. Its really strong stuff, so be sure to cover up your trailer.
Trailer backed in way to deep! Looks like a pretty cool spot where is that? At about the 8:10 mark is about where you want the trailer tops of the fenders just out of the water. It will be easier to get the bow between the guides and the boat will naturally center itself. 35 years with my barefoot nautique never a strap or winch drove right to the bow bunks. Zep toilet bowl cleaner spray it on let it sit and you will see when it has done its magic rinse it off as a rule 5-15 minuets no scrubbing necessary.

kool boat
Nice…I have the same boat, bought it new in 1987. How did it do in Lake George?
It handled it well aside from the last day. Was just way too choppy
use Zing for that bottom, it cleans right off with no scrubbing. Just try to keep it off your trailer and wear latex gloves.
Thanks for the tip!
all you need to do is stop abruptly and it will slide in place
Thanks!
