This is a talk that has got me taking notes. There's nothing like a knowledgeable mother who knows how to train the minds of her children in handling life's hurdles.

It's the feeling that you're appreciated, that you have something to offer, and others know it. It's a very important feeling, Littlefoot. - Grandpa Longneck, The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze (2001)
Hey bro, I saw your comment on the "Taking Action" ted talk, and I was watching this and saw your comments as well I like the journey you are on. I think we have some common group/pillars that would make for an interesting conversation. When you have a the time - Let me know.
its sad that out of the 18 million people who are subscribed to this channel, only 27,000 people clicked on it. and not even, there are some non0subscribers too. motivational though :( :)
I disagreed with her initial assumption. I would not have raised my hand and asserted I deserve a damn thing from anyone. I am honored with the knowledge that others find value in what I offer, yet I "deserve" nothing. I will remain thankful for having been blessed and will seek to avoid accepting any "gifts" from peddlers of falsehoods.
I don't understand why you were feeling disrespected. Because they didn't have a room available? Are you saying that they were not catering to your needs that they were being disrespectful. You brought up diversity. Not sure what diversity had to deal with a lack of diversity because they had no rooms available.
Tad Roccaro also i assume that what she meant by diversity is that the people we meet will likely have different values and so the word respect might also have a different meaning for those people

Mothers are overrated. Maternal and paternal knowledge even more so.

@@Est.1993 That is a fair point. I don't disparage maternal and paternal knowledge, I simply refuse to reify it. This is why I said it was overrated.
