@@nataliaahn8119 Going good, Thank God. I am actually learning the law, the online program of NWCU is top notch, a lot of great resources, and the price can not be beat. I went to an ABA law school for 1L 7 years back so I am able to compare an ABA program and the Online NWCU only program and I have come to the conclusion that NWCU easily comprares to that of an ABA program. Only that NWCU allows you to digest the info at a nice pace because it is a 4 year program. If you have outside responsibilities, like work and/or family, then I can not recommend enough.
if you enroll to NWCU without an AA/AS or BA/BS degree and come in with just CLEP exam scores, you will be considered a "special 1L student" and upon completion of your first year you will be required to take the baby bar test. If you pass the baby bar, then you get to continue with your remaining years left in law school.
Many thanks for sharing your 1L experiences. I was recently accepted for studies at NWCU. While waiting through the enrollment process, I've ordered my 1L books except the Prosser & Wade Torts. Any recommendations for what I can begin doing or studying before classes start? I've heard a lot about flashcards; but of course I don't know what definitions, etc to study. Any further help or hints is greately appreciated. I'm also wondering how old of an edition of Black's Law Dicitionary should I buy? ...continued success on your legal career journey. Blessings.
Congratulations! I wouldn't buy too old of an edition but anything in the last few years for that one should suffice. I highly recommend just enjoying your free time now before life starts to get crazy, but if you are eager to get started, then I would just spend some time getting organized. If you have the extra time it's always nice to do a deep clean of your house and prep some freezer meals too so you are not as stressed when you start to get busy! Best of luck to you!
No. I started out doing it and thought I would give it a go again this year but I don’t think it’s reasonable or necessary to read it cover to cover. Read the cases you have to brief and skim the rest.
Hi Macy, how critical is it to memorize the 380 definitions? Is there ever a time these will need to be recalled from memory? Perhaps the final? Thank you for your videos. They are outstanding.
There’s a handful that you don’t need to memorize but are just useful to have some kind of knowledge on, however you will need to memorize the majority of them. Some get easier as you go along and start to build upon one another so you likely won’t even realized you’ve memorized them. I find it helpful to work on 10-15 definitions for every lecture you watch in a series and these usually go hand in hand and will help you with memorizing and learning which are the most important
Re: 1L required books. Any advantage/disadvantage to online versions of books in lieu of or in addition to hard copy? Just wondering if hard copy is preferred or necessary and why? Love the information you provide on your channel! Thanks.
Great question! I think it’s really up to you and your learning style. I personally prefer to have a physical book in my hand to flip through and mark up, but I did have an ebook for one of my Intro to Law classes and it sufficed!
They’re scheduled for 52 weeks. You could complete it in 48 weeks though. There aren’t any scheduled breaks but personally I think you have enough time to complete everything with your own couple of breaks throughout.
Hi Macy, I know this may be a bit of a ridiculous question, but do you think it makes a difference if I make flash cards that are typed out rather than writing them out?
Personally I prefer to handwrite my flashcards because it helps with retention, but if you think it is too much time to do that, typing would be okay too!
Hi, Thank you for these videos. I had a question ..we are able to check our VAE hours on the side but does this include the hours they give us for the assignments or is that separate? I'm wondering if I need this number to get to 60 or 90 so embarrassing that I don't know
I am thinking of going to law school and doing it online at Northwestern CA School of Law. I noticed in your video that you are going to do things differently so you could take a 2 week break during summer and also how you will try to finish at the end of the 11th month instead of the end of your 12th month. Does that mean you could work ahead and finish between 2 weeks to one month earlier each year?
I’m thinking about law school. How hard are the final exams? Are they multiple choice? Or Essays? What classes are they and what were the essay questions like? Thanks
Yes, I saw the video. It’s awesome. I was trying to see what an example question would be like or an example hypothetical question. See if I would be able to handle law school. Thx
Hi ! Thanks for all the information you provide ! I have a question regarding the final exam proctor requirement . On the website for the school it says the proctor is selected by the students to administer final exams in their hometowns ? Is this difficult to do ? Did you have difficulty finding a proctor ? Thanks
I live in a very rural area so I did not even bother to find a local proctor, I just went with the online one available through the school called Examity!
Starting tomorrow at NWCU... Thanks for all the help this last month! I will spread the word to current and future students. Wish you the best!
How are things going?

Is there a study guide for this test
I thought the baby bar was required for ALL students at NWCU?
@@s0ldieralwaysnot, it’s not.
Thank you for sharing! ❤
I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope

Thank you for this video! Definitely the most helpful by far!
I am so happy to hear that, thank you 🥰
Great video series. Congratulations on your law school journey. After year 1 of school did you need to take you Baby Bar?
No
🎉awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I’m so proud of you. You work so hard!😘
Thank you 💞
How long is it for the entire program? Sorry if this has been answered before.
4 years
Congratulations 🎊
Thank you!!
Thanks for your help. Could you post books requirements for 2L students. Thank you.
1L at NWCU here. Did you read all of the case books? It’s my fav part but *thee* largest time suck, and I think I’m a fast reader lol.
No. I started out doing it and thought I would give it a go again this year but I don’t think it’s reasonable or necessary to read it cover to cover. Read the cases you have to brief and skim the rest.

congrats! How many (graded) assignments are there per class?
Thank you! Each class has a graded midterm and final exam. All other assignments are pass/fail only.
@@MacyySuee Thx. Last question, Can u use own computer at home for test proctoring?
@@newagain9964 yes
Hi. Great information! Thank you for posting.
Question: did you have to take the FYLSX? Or just each of the course finals?
I talked about that in this video as well 😊

Thank you for the motivation
Glad I could be of help ☺️
I like the cali lessons.. i found it really helpful for contracts… it’s just a lot of reading 😩
Yes I do really like the CALI lessons for the most part! It’s a lot more hands on

How long will you be in school For law thanks for the tips ❤🎉
The program is 4 years and I will be finished in a year, approximately May 2025.

This is great info. When does classes meet in your second year?
None of the live classes are required and the schedules change every 3 months for those
Hello 🙂 thank you for all this helpful information! Question- what time are the live classes usually?
Each class differs and the schedules all change every few months but it’s usually late afternoon!
Are the classes heavily on presentations? Like speaking or video presentations?

Yes if you work hard enough you can finish anytime in the last 30 days of the school year!
Thank you for your reply. How long did it take for you to receive an answer on your acceptance?
Did you save your homework 😮😮
I am not sure what you mean by that

How much does the online proctor cost? How much time is allotted for the final exams?
Are you still in school ?
Yes, I am starting my fourth and final year this month!
Hey I’m a police officer full time, and I’m looking into going to law school how is it? Do you work full time?
It’s been great and I do work full time.
Have you gotten your final grade yet?
Yes I shared it in the video right after this one!
Are the exams open book?
Midterms are, finals are not
