Fallon losing was the right outcome though since the PDC offered her a free tour card if she won this match. She should have to earn her card in Q school and not get a freebee because she is a woman.

Absolutely phenomenal from Smith, had real determination right from the bat. Sadly, MvG missed too many doubles and had a lot of swerving darts. Fallon really impressed me this tournament and now we've seen she can also go the distance. Could've taken that match if she won the 28th leg but she showed herself and i hope she'll earn a tour card next year.
That last match was one of the best matches I've seen in a while. Absolutely fantastic from both

I've seen some of the best matches in history, I never said this was one of the greatest matches of all time, I said this was one of the best I've seen in a while. Though this is a other ground breaker for womens darts as Sherrock stood toe to toe with one of the best players in the world and a former world champion. So dont even think about judging me about my darting intellect or opinions

@@lbreindl6 Peter Wright is a former World Champion & Matchplay winner (among other things). You would expect him to play at a level like this. That's why people are impressed with Fallon, that she stayed with him like this & he had to play like a World Champion to beat her.
@@philipdawson7800 Wright was taking out some big checkouts when he needed to, similar to his 2020 Worlds run. Still a better level than in his previous games this week.
Fallon played very well, she could have had some chances had Wright not taken said big checkouts at the key times
Fantastic darts from Smith, he looks hot for the title. peter had to pull everything out to beat a fabulous player in Sherrock. She deserves her place among the big players, and has an amazing all round game. That game would of taken a lot out of Peter and it will be interesting to see if he can come out strong in the Semi.

@@suvegesadrian211 I watched it all. They played 29 legs and he played 1 leg with the double bull finish..... Sherrock missed 2 big outs and had a bull dart pop out on a finish. Had they gone in he would of been out. He even admitted that himself.

Just watching the highlights now. Absolutely unbelievable so far. Fallon should be proud at what’s she’s achieved, unbelievable tournament, really unlucky tonight. She’ll certainly go far in the World’s in a few weeks, she’s in the conversation of earning a tour card without going to Q-school and in contention for a place in the Premier League too. Once she’s on the tour she’ll be winning titles in no time. MvG out and if Price goes, we’ll get a new Grand Slam champion.

Absolutely love Peter Wright and so pleased he's gone through but Fallon is just such a joy to watch and such a talent. Now that the darts world has got over the so called 'novelty' of having a female playing in the men's game can we just accept her for what she is,a very talented darts player. Get her on the tour!

It has never been a men’s league (PDC) and if a person did have an issue with women players making the PDC they should have been over it two years ago when Lisa “earned” her tour card. Glad to hear you know of some late bloomers, lol.
I Want to see the best dart players, reproductive organs not relevant. But apparently it’s a professional league and they have rules to follow to become one. Hopefully the organization and their fans understand them and abide by them?

Sherrock confirms her status as a proper darts player. Great match; she let Peter of the hook. It will come in time when she gains even more experience. PL would be too soon. It is just a matter of time when she wins her tourcard. One point of attention is that her back hurt her after the match. My advice: wear proper shoes that give more support. Of course she is gutted but she can walk away from this match with great pride.

Fallon is a very good player but in the land of equality she should have to earn her place. Darts has shown their is no physical advantage. The qualifying process should be the same for the men and women.

She needs to earn a card, earn her place... I think she's done that and more, just needs that extra bit of prize money to qualify for an automatic tour card and she'll be off to the races!
I think, she has a card for the next year, cause when I remember well, after 2019 wc "success" , she failed at Q-school, that's why last year she was nowhere :) and when now she's there, I think, she must qualifying again for pro tour card in 2023 :)
@@suvegesadrian211 If she reached the final on this event, she would earn £65,000 minimum, which would put her into the order of merit at #49, and the top 50 players automatically qualify for a card. With this run she's going to go into the order of merit around the #75 mark, but if she keeps up the decent performances in the big tv tournaments, she'll easily climb up the rankings.
