My wife cured and saved me from alcohol 25 years ago . She passed away 6 years ago. She made me promise to stay . Life sucks without her . I don't know what happened to Grayson but I understand the struggle 😢
As someone who grew up playing junior golf tours with Grayson from 10 up until 16 or 17 years old I wish people would be more respectful. He seemed to be in a pretty good place and I don’t see him withdrawing while playing decent and giving up the next day. There is a lot more to the story and until it comes out everyone should stop assuming. He may be just a figure on TV to a lot of people but to some he was a son, friend and fiancé.
There are NO answers when someone commits suicide!! So many emotions. Please have compassion & just pray for this family!! Until u have been there, u don't know!! Trust me u don't know!! They need love & prayer, not hateful words!!🌹🙏☮️❤️
No one is to blame for a suicide but the person who commits the act. Clearly there is something wrong in the brain of some people and no amount if mental health awareness will change that. I dont believe suicide is preventable by anyone other than the person contemplating it. Devastating for his family, I hope they can find peace knowing he is at peace.
The deamons a recovering alcoholic goes through are many, he suffered from a mental illness... golfers are alone more than they're not... may God grant peace to his soul....
The guy didn't suffer for money. He clearly had other demons like millions of others in the wider world. The TOUR can't take the blame of this sort of thing... it's the way of the world
My point wasn’t amount the money but about supporting the players to manage their lives on tour and cope with the pressure it brings. Many of the players have stated since of how alone you can feel on tour from week to week which adds up to months. If a player is committed to PGA tour they should be seen as employees and get same support that you would expect from your employer. It won’t save everyone but it might help this being prevented if there are support people to work with the players who are identified as having issues. It is apparent that many players knew of problems that Murray had.
Difficult interview he knows, everyone in the room knows what happened but he can’t say until the family give permission. Immelmann and Nantz wouldn’t have been as upset if it was natural causes. RIP Grayson we all hope this won’t happen ever again and professional sportsmen and sportswomen get the help they need so they don’t have take the ultimate decision . Life is very precious
The only reason Monahan talked to Grayson - was because said Monahan could not be trusted in players meeting -- same meeting that Rory said to Grayson just play better -- retorted - fuck You to Rory Sad he probably took his own life -- but for a player who was open about his mental health struggles -- then his outspoken views in Players meeting -- Did Monahan or PGAT offer him the support needed??
PRO golf is tough life. Look at the lonely roads these guys take to make it. Many come so close and miss. Very sad. Look up Wayne Westner… famous South African golfer…
@@tomjohns4355 because the pressure is insane and the ups and downs are huge in pro golf... Grayson was so talented but his performance in life and golf was volatile--- he is not the only one on tour that is like that.
I think he feels bad because he killed this kid with this ridiculous PGA schedule. I hate LiV don’t get that wrong. But the whole point of LiV was for the players getting paid without that cut thing looming over them. Because if you get cut, that means no $$. You just travelled across the country to win nothing. There should a salary for players
This is one of the worst interviews I've ever seen.... Listen Jay in case anybody did never prep you, The tour is going to do everything it can to improve mental health after this horrible tragedy... That's your answer not your wishy-washy stupid answer you just gave I'm embarrassed for the tour
Well the story is Grayson told Jay he didn’t trust him and expressed he needed help many times. I bet Jay feels guilty. Rory told Grayson to shush and just play Better. He told Rory to shut up.

Beautiful words and strong
Maybe spend all the increased funding on supporting lower level professionals and not give millions to those who already have millions!

I struggle with alcohol but have been lucky so far. 74 years old. It's tough
Good for you - keep on keeping on.
Surprised it doesn’t happen more often.
Why would you say that?
