I’m so excited for this challenge!! For getting to 3 stars and 5 eventually, I recommend fossils and specifically expensive bugs/fish! They’re really good because expensive items give you more points than an item that sells for 100-500 bells.

i just restarted my island a couple days ago bc your farmcore island tour got me super inspired and this video really mirrored my exact time after restarting, down to the smudge for the first design and the heart for the bulletin board. AND the tarantula invasion before tools. anyway, very excited to see what your glorious brain comes up with for this challenge! dont think too hard!

as soon as i saw the title and thumbnail, my thoughts were "oh no what has Raven got herself into this time?" i wish you the best of luck on this challenge! can't wait to see what you end up doing for this island!!
I haven't finished watching yet because I heard "I don't know if it's possible to reach 5 stars without furniture" so I did some math! To reach 5 stars, you need 10 villagers, plus 450 scenery points and 665 development points. Scenery points are things like trees and flowers, so that's easy. It's the development points that will be difficult without furniture. Difficult, but (mostly) not impossible. Each bridge and incline gives 15 points, so the max of 10 each is a total of 300 points. You also get 15 points each for *building* the museum, *upgrading* Nook's Cranny, and building Able Sisters. The only other ways of getting development points are furniture and fences. Furniture is obviously a no-go, so fences it is. Unfortunately, each fence only gives 0.2 points, so you need a lot. In short, in order to get enough development points to reach 5 stars, you need 10 bridges, 10 inclines, museum (does not have to be upgraded), upgraded Nook's Cranny, Able Sister's, and a whopping *1600 fences.* Good luck! EDIT: I didn't at all think about placing clothes, creatures, and fossils! They do count as non-DIY furniture, so I think each one counts as 1 point -- HOWEVER, there is some stuff with 'unique types' that I'm not entirely clear on, no resources specify at all. If bugs, fish, and sea creatures are all different 'types', or the clothes are split up in some way, then in each 8x8 square, if there are at least 5 unique types, the calculation is: number of items * 0.5 + number of types * 0.5. So along with the bridges/inclines and buildings, you need either 1600 fences OR 320 placed pieces of clothing, creatures, or fossils (or possibly fewer, depending on the types system)
I think this island might be forest core because of the bear and it would be an easy way of filling in space and making it look good without needing items
Just finished binging the other 30 days challenge and at some point Raven mentioned that forestcore would be a good theme for the next one soooo that's my Bearin theory! Either way I'm so happy daily routines are back ❤

Raven the only that 5-stars would be possible is that you'd have the maximum bridge's and inclines, all building & villager houses, less than 100 weeds(Only 99 to use!), and 1375 pieces of fencing....... unless your use fish & bugs Btw, I had Filp as my starter on my first island!

Can’t wait to see how it turns out! The only thing I see being a roadblock is with the items you have access to is gonna be mostly dropped items which may limit the 5 star island
An idea for a build would be like a huge museum build, that’s like the outside part of the museum. Use bug, fish, fossils, custom designs, trees, and flowers to decorate!!!

An aquarium with costume designs of fish on the floor would be amazing

For scenery, you'd need 250 trees, i think that's the cap before overabundance and a mix of 200 shrub's, flowers, and crops
