The fact it took 100+ tries & you only ran into 1 of the villagers who were in the brackets just shows how low your chances were to get Melba.

It's all up to luck, really. I've had hunts where I found the villager I wanted in less than 10, some even less than 5. Others I've searched for for months and never seen.
