To anyone having problems with the head turning to one side, here's what you need to do: So before starting the head (when finishing R10) make sure you're at the very middle of the back. If your stitch marker is slightly to one side, just add extra sc until you're in the middle and than start R11 from there. Do this for every round of the head or at least the few first ones.
I wish I would’ve seen this comment a couple days ago 😂 my wonky headed dragon will be getting a straight forward facing sister with the help of this, thank you ❤
¡Hola!
Love this pattern! I made one for myself, sent a pic to my friends, and now they all want one too, haha. So we're all going to have one of these little dragons in our favorite colors :). I have 5/8 done so far! I've been adding a round of 24 BPSC after round 4 so that the dragon stands up on its own more easily, which has been working quite well! EDIT: They're all completed! I could probably recite this pattern in my sleep now lol
This is probably my favourite crochet pattern I have ever found. I’ve made like 10 of them so far and turned them into keychains. They’re just so stinking cute 🥰
These are absolutely adorable! I was looking for a Christmas gift to make for all of the players in my Dungeons and Dragons group (I'm the DM), and this is perfect! I ended up making them a little bigger than the ones you made, and they're in all our favorite colors. (I've made 4/5) I haven't been crocheting for very long but your video was very easy to follow along with, especially with having each round on the screen! Thanks for making this!
This pattern is perfect!! I’ve been tryna to find a dragon pattern and this one is so cute! I’m also making it with velvet yarn and it’s looks so cute!
Popcorn st for those who dont know: Make 5 DC’s in one st. Remove your hook and insert it into the first DC. (Count back 5 if that helps you. :)) Pull the last DC (your working yarn) thro the first DC (where you inserted your hook). And Ch 1 to close it. I hope this helps you out! 💜. :) Also you might want to put a stitch marker in the 3rd st of the popcorn for the next round if that helps. :)) DC = Double Crochet St = Stitch Ch = Chain Edit: Glad I can help you all!!💜💜💜
I didn’t understand your explanation T.T and I can’t find a good video that shows correctly as we do T.T Pity that the creator of this video will not show how to do it point by point...
I used plush yarn and he’s so cute! But I definitely underestimated how hard this dragon would be for me since I just started a week or two ago, so it took me 7 hours😂
Love this one so much i made bigger ones with the top edges of the wings the main color. The smaller ones definitely take longer to make than the bigger ones. But the small one is now a key chain hanging on my bag and i love it 🥰
@@CutesyDaisy im not a beginner just not a native speaker, so i like to follow visually as well. I used another tutorial and the dragon is a very easy pattern, dont tell me its not for beginner you clown 🤡
Mind you, I am not a beginner, I have been crocheting for 50 years but the instructions are very difficult to follow. There is not enough or too much. And those …… confusing when it continues in the next frame so you only get half of what’s supposed to be one entire row. Shame, it’s a cute little thing……
I used this pattern to make dinosaurs too, instead of making the ears, horns and wings i made spikes that went down the back of its head. I chained 16 and did a picolt stitch every second chain, for the picolt stitch i did ss, ch 2, ss in the same stitch and then a ss in the next one and repeated that
So it’s not my first time crocheting.. but mine started to look different in like row 4. I had to adjust and do things differently from this pattern. At row 12 I wasn’t doing 1sc and one increase but Inc, 3 single crochet and increasing the last stitch too so I would be at 36 stitches for the 3 rounds. I’m currently at the eyes and putting my second eye between 21-22 just makes him look like some production failure.. I’ll keep doing this pattern since I came so far. But I definitely had people giving better instructions with just their subtitles.
Amazing work ❤️ I just wish there were written directions so I don’t have to keep rewatching when my family members want keychains like mine and my husbands 😂
I don't know how to make a popcorn stitch... but I used bobble stitches instead, and I think it still worked out. My biggest issue is that none of the legs seem to line up properly. I've followed every round perfectly, but one is still further back than it should be.
Great pattern and tutorial! i made it using Himalaya dolphin baby yarn and a 4mm hook and it turned out really nice. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us! I will make this one again and some of your other patterns. 🧶🧶♥🧶
I love them. I have made a few as gifts for friends and family. Only issue is that I have had to modify the pattern so the head doesn't look off to the side, but overall I love it💕

Hi! Thanks for the tutorial! I made it but the head ended up pointing to the right haha I’m sure I messed up with counting the stitches or something, but anyway! It’s still adorable!!
Yes, mine have also come out with the head to the right and also the front right arm is slightly behind too (I triple checked every stitch placement and they’re exactly as they should be). I’ve done this pattern around 8 times now and still it comes out the exact same every time 😭
I love this little dragon. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern with us. I made a plush bigger version with premier parfait chunky. He is just adorable.
haii, you have amazing talent, and with your kindness you share it with people, you are very kind. I am very grateful to be able to learn from your video. I ask permission to make and share the results with my close friends. once again thank you very much, your work is very beautiful and adorable
Hi, I don't know if you read these. I love the patterns you made but somehow I can't get them right. The head always looks like it's looking a little to the right if you know what I mean. It's not really facing the front. I've counted my stitches after every row and followed instructions. It still looks like that. Never had that problem with other patterns before (where the head is also crocheted directly on top of the body like in this video). Maybe you know what I'm doing wrong. 😅
Same. Mine was turned all the way to the right like he was looking over his shoulder. The stitch count seems to be off from the start or very early on. I started over and counted my stitches 3 times, and it still turned like that.
you can do the increases a little later for example: Round 11: Flo [sc in 7sts, (3sc in the same stitch)x4, sc in 5sts] [24sts] Round 12: (sc, inc)x12 [36sts] Round 13-15: sc in each stitch [36sts] (3 rows) Round 16: sc in 14sts, 1 dec… ...2 sc3tog... ...1 dec, sc in 12sts [30sts] You can try and see how many should be 😍 Fighting!!!!!❤️
@@lamagurumi the pattern is correct, because the number of loops in the row is the same. the reason is that the crocheting is spiral and the row shifts to the right every time, every row. idk what to do with that((
This was so fun to make! I am curious about you tied off the yarn after sewing on the ears and horn and stuff. It looked like you were tying knots in the two strands on the outside of the doll. Can you explain a little more about that? Thanks for the pattern!
thank you so much ❤️ When it comes to knotting the yarns, we do it like this: Remove the yarns from the same place, tie a knot, cut and pull in with hook or needle.
Me gustaria un tutorial mas detallado, no se muy bien sobre los puntos y es la primera vez que lo hago, pero si me gustaria hacerlo a una persona especial 😢😢😢
While overall i loved this video, and the guide was helpful, it isn't very new user friendly. I would suggest maybe further explaining your crochet technique using a larger thread or something. I loved it! but it would also help if maybe you spoke in it? if not speak, show it better. Will be making more of these to help me practice with popcorn stitches, and with what you did on round 11, the 3sc in 1st. a bit confusing but fun!
can someone help me understand what sc in 3rd dc on popcorn means? am I meant to make another popcorn stitch? or am I supposed to be above the popcorn stitch from the last round?
So the popcorn stitch is 5 doublecrochets joined into one stitch, if you made it that far it confuses you of where to put the sc in it I suppose you figured out how to do that! So basically what you have to do, is to put a single crochet into the third double crochet of the popcorn stitch, so basically the middle. Hope that helped!
Super cute pattern. Do you think this could be made with blanket or velvet yarn to make a larger dragon? I want something for my son to snuggle and this one is very cute.
oh my this is the cutest crochet dragon ive ever seen i love your channel so much!!!! just found it and instantly subbed aaaaaa thank u so much for ur videos theyre so clear and cute 🥺🥺
Vertically, the eyes should be placed between rounds 16 and 17. Horizontally, one eye should be between the 10th and 11th stitches of those rounds, and the other should be between the 21st and 22nd stitches, so that they are 10 stitches apart. It helps a lot to mark these stitches in round 16 so that you don't have to rely so much on figuring out exactly where that is. Of course, it doesn't have to be exactly this placement (I like to move them in one stitch each), so use your own judgment as to what looks best. Hope this helps!
5 double crochets into the same stitch, put hook back into the first double crochet and pull the last loop through the first double crochet like a slip stitch, sorry if that was a really bad explanation 😂😅
It's the nature of working in the round; there's always a slight right tilt if you're right-handed. This is because the posts of SCs are actually to the left of the top of the stitch, so when you work into the tops of the stitches in the same direction for a bunch of rows/rounds, the stitches will start to shift to the right. There are a couple ways to combat this, like crocheting in the front loop only for the whole piece, moving your increases and decreases for the snout and the eyes to the left, or using an invisible slip stitch join instead of working in a spiral (still a slight tilt, but less so). Generally, I just accept the slight tilt, like my dragon is looking to the right :)
@@KieraTaylor-v1e When you crochet through both loops, the stitches stack slightly asymmetrically. When you crochet FLO, there's more flexibility, since the loop you crocheted through can move more. This leads to the stitches stacking right on top of each other :)
Hi love you tut! I’m actually a beginner so i’m a bit confused haha - can the needle be any needle, or does it need to be a specific kind of needle? And can I use cotton in place of poly fibers? Thanks! I’ll recommend this to my friends.
You can do it with any needle you want, but if the tip is sharp, it may hurt, be careful. 🥹 i tried it with cotton once but the result was sad haha😅 If you can find it, I recommend doing it with fiber.✨❤️
OMG thank you for replying. I’ll take that into consideration. I adore your channel, it’s adorable. I’m making this for my boyfriend, hopefully he’ll like it.

See my latest comment, has somthing you might like
can someone help me understand what sc in 3rd dc on popcorn means? am I meant to make another popcorn stitch? or am I supposed to be above the popcorn stitch from the last round?
So the popcorn stitch is 5 doublecrochets joined into one stitch, if you made it that far it confuses you of where to put the sc in it I suppose you figured out how to do that! So basically what you have to do, is to put a single crochet into the third double crochet of the popcorn stitch, so basically the middle. Hope that helped!

Between round 15 and 16 you decrease twice and do one sc3tog. That only removes 4 stitches from the round so you end up with 32 not 30??
At 10:40, it said 2(two) sc3tog, so you removed 4 stitches from here, plus decrease two times, end up removed 6 stitches in total.

It helps a lot to mark these stitches in round 16 so that you don't have to rely so much on figuring out exactly where that is. Of course, it doesn't have to be exactly this placement (I like to move them in one stitch each), so use your own judgment as to what looks best.
Hope this helps!
@@MacsUsername thank you so much!

How do u do the popcorn stitch
Love the green one! What colors did you use?
Alize cotton gold 393 and 103🫶
Am confused on row 11, there are not enough stitches to repeat 4 times. Unless I am doing it wrong.
Repeat the (3 sc in same stitch) 4 times only in the middle part. Make 6 sc at the beginning and end stitches
@@lamagurumi ohhh, ok. Thank you so much!
What is a pop corn stitch? Is it just an increase?
That is double crochet 5 times in the same stitch and then you have to make a popcorn from it (you can find a tutorial)
What is a popcorn stitch?? I'm confused 😟😵💫
5 double crochets into the same stitch, put hook back into the first double crochet and pull the last loop through the first double crochet like a slip stitch, sorry if that was a really bad explanation 😂😅
Do you have a big size? Can I ask for a crochet chart?
What do you mean with Sc in sts
Is that a decrease
it's just sc :)
Thank you :)
Maybe you can make a version of

Why is my head leaning to the right? Very frustrating. My stitches aren't off either, the head just tilts.
@@MacsUsernamewait I didn’t know there were ways to combat this. Genuinely curious because i might try it myself now, how does crocheting FLO help?
@@KieraTaylor-v1e When you crochet through both loops, the stitches stack slightly asymmetrically. When you crochet FLO, there's more flexibility, since the loop you crocheted through can move more. This leads to the stitches stacking right on top of each other :)
@ thanks! I’ll definitely be giving that a try!
Are we allowed to sell our handmade keyrings from your pattern?

De cuantos milímetros son los ojos?
Cho tôi hỏi kim móc trong video là loại kim bao nhiêu mm được không?
Hi love you tut! I’m actually a beginner so i’m a bit confused haha - can the needle be any needle, or does it need to be a specific kind of needle? And can I use cotton in place of poly fibers? Thanks! I’ll recommend this to my friends.
You can do it with any needle you want, but if the tip is sharp, it may hurt, be careful. 🥹
i tried it with cotton once but the result was sad haha😅
If you can find it, I recommend doing it with fiber.✨❤️
OMG thank you for replying. I’ll take that into consideration. I adore your channel, it’s adorable. I’m making this for my boyfriend, hopefully he’ll like it.

I think you can use any yarn you want. Just use the appropriate size hook.
This was my first time trying to crochet, I'm not even gonna bother
I'm waiting for you again after you learn the terms and improve your crochet!
