    Easier than I thought and you really helped in explaining it well too. Thank you.

      Thanks for your comment. There are different types of panniers you can use for the Triumph motorcycles. I chose the Triumph pannier system instead of aftermarket ones because I liked the retro style and the custom fit that was simple to install and detach. Triumph has lots of unique accessories for all the motorcycles in the product lineup…Truly a great company.

    I don't understand why you would put bags on a bike like the Thruxton RS. Ruins the lines in my opinion.

      Ugh… maybe you need to carry something?

      The nice part about the Triumph Pannier system is it can be removed easily. I plan to use the panniers for short trips to bring my video gear and overnight supplies easily with me without having to wear my backpack. Thanks for your input and I agree it does not complement the overall appearance of the Thruxton but is a useful add-on…

      Great job! Yes factory parts and accessories make it seamless and no mods required. Btw, I like your key fob/protector. Can you share the source please. Thank you. Tom 2016 TTR.

    Looks nice with that style of panniers . Had thought of purchasing these but decided and went for a thruxton tank bag and just use a backpack

      I wasn’t aware that Triumph made a tank bag for the Thruxton. I’ll have to look into that. The panniers are definitely a stylish edition that complement the retro look of the Thruxton RS 1200. They cannot be interchanged to the Triumph Bonneville as they are specific for each model motorcycle. The retaining brackets and the pannier size are different for each model motorcycle. Thanks for your comment and happy riding.🏍️

      @@lifetimeadventures9107 it’s in two parts a part that goes on to the tank and leaves access for the petrol cap/ gas .. and the bag fits on top not sure if it’s specific for the thruxton but it fits 100% and is made by triumph . Not sure if I’m able to send you a picture but it’s a good size

      @@theharvester9683 it sounds like a quality item. If you come across a link to where you got it, you could send that in a reply. I’ll check with my parts girl, Reagan at Street Stuff Cycle to see if she knows which one it is. Thanks for the lead… happy riding.

      Thank you, I feel the same way about the Thruxton. At first I wasn’t sure about whether I’d like the riding position and after a few rides I realized it was quite comfortable and made for a very sporty riding experience. Now that cold weather is on the way here in RI, I have installed the heated grips and plan to mount the dolphin faring soon in British Racing Green. I’ll be posting a video of the install and my impressions once it is completed. Thanks for commenting and happy riding adventures 🏍️🥰

    I'm looking for instruction for Street cup, couldn't find many. I'm guessing it might be similar due to rear seat cowl ?

    • @lifetimeadventures9107
      @lifetimeadventures9107  5 місяців тому

      I do know that the brackets that hold the panniers and the attachment clip hardware that mount to the frame under the seat, are specific for each model motorcycle. For those part numbers and information as to whether they would apply to the Street Cup, I would suggest that you contact a Triumph motorcycle dealership to obtain the part numbers or to order the proper mounting brackets and fastening clips. I know that Reagan at Street Stuff Cycle would be able to help you. This is their phone number.

    The weight capacity per pannier is 6 lbs. I struggle with the idea of 6 lbs per pannier.

    • @lifetimeadventures9107
      @lifetimeadventures9107  Рік тому +1

      I agree that they are not large capacity panniers. That is why a potential buyer of the Thruxton must realize that the bike is specialized, in its ability to bring satisfaction and enjoyment to the owner.
      I do not consider the Thruxton to be a touring bike, but rather a classic sport bike with the café racer styling. It is most enjoyable for short trips of 50 -100 miles on rural roads with many corners. One trip like that and you will return with a smile that lasts for days. One cannot expect to carry a lot of belongings on that type of bike. If you were willing to wear a backpack, you can carry enough gear for an overnight stay or a camping trip. Traveling light has its advantages. Thanks for your response and enjoy your riding adventures.
