    Anyone that goes to United games, is probably wearing a shirt, paid 70 quid to get into the stadium, bought a pint and chips for 10 quid. Chanting "we want Glazers out" literally does nothing. If you want to hurt them, stop going to games, cancel subscriptions"
    If you genuinely think chants are going to drive businessmen out of a club, then youve been brainwashed by Sky sports.
    The fanbase can say theyve been "protesting for 18 years" but theyve only had one effective one where they got the game cancelled against Liverpool

      It's so weird to see people protesting against the owners after they've paid probably over 100 quid to said owners to watch the game live.

    Most Man United fans will agree on the business part of what Simon says. What I take issue with is how Simon always reduces the blame on the Glazers for our poor performances.
    Who do you think employs these incompetent employees??
    You always say about how much money we spend but never take into account that we literally overpay for everything! A £40mil player for Liverpool would end up costing us £70mil plus double the wages.
    Our recruitment is a shambles because the Glazers employ incompetent employees.
    Also when Gary Neville says the Glazers are broke, he doesn’t mean they literally have no money and Simon must know this. Neville clearly means that they do not have the means to spend a billion on the rotting facilities in Old Trafford and Carrington.
    The only money that gets spend is purely on the clubs revenue or our increasing debt, which they quite simply cannot afford to keep increasing.
    People do not realise WE SPENT AS MUCH ON DEBT INTEREST LAST YEAR AS WE DID ON TRANSFERS BUT THE GLAZERS STILL TAKE DIVIDENDS

    I'm not sure that Simon Jordan does himself any favor's by saying that the Glazers don't need to sell because "they are not short of a bob or two". He is correct in that the Glazer family are wealthy but what Simon fails to acknowledge is that the club needs over £2 billion spent on the stadium, training ground and infrastructure, then on top of that the club is servicing a debt of over £1 billion. Gary Neville's point is that the club has none of it's own money to pay for investment needed, £3 billion +, and the Glazer family will not invest any of their own money in order to pay for all these improvements, they never have invested. Simon is also correct in saying that there are people within the club that are not doing their jobs well enough but that is where the owners should be stepping in and employing the right people in the right roles, remember that it is the DoF and his team that give out ridiculous contracts to players, some United players get over £200k a week where other clubs would be paying that same player £80k a week, which leads on to why it is near on impossible to move these players on when it doesn't work out. The club is completely mismanaged at the top. What we need to remember is that United before the Glazers always had over £300 million in the bank and had the best stadium and training ground in the country, all paid for. All the Glazers had to do was maintain what was there and make small improvements year on year instead of taking ridiculous amounts of money out in dividends. Instead the club is debt ridden with a decaying stadium and training ground and it has maxed out all of it's credit cards.

    • @davemufcwhitehead2863
      @davemufcwhitehead2863 Рік тому +3

      Bang on the money Paul. Couldn't of said it better myself. We all know once the club is sold. And we have no debt and we have a buyer willing to put money into the stadium. Training ground and employing the best in class people in there respective roles the club will go places. I believe we have the right coach. We badly need a dof that knows what he's doing. The recruitment going forward is important to get the correct players to fit ten hags system. And get rid of all the toxic players. Player power at man united needs sorted out. But again if we have the correct owners and make the correct decisions the sky is the limit. We have what city don't have. The history, the fan base. We could over take them again in 5 years if done correctly. Getting rid of these leaches is another thing that's the problem. Holding out for 10 billion is simply outrageous!

    • @gustaaf1892
      @gustaaf1892 Рік тому

      You are totally correct in what you've stated with the possible exception of inflating the cost of doing the long outstanding infrastructure refurbishments. It is almost unbelievable that these greedy leeches aren't satisfied with a 6 billion return on the 200 million investment out of their own pocket to buy the club, which they've already had returned through dividends they have gauged out of the club. As we all know, the remaining borrowed money to buy the club was put on to United's tab and that debt has actually grown. They are running the club into the ground. If Qatar withdraws their offer to buy another EPL club, United will inevitably fall yet another rung down the ladder. For greedy people they sure know how to waste money by not appointing a capable Director of football to avoid paying highly inflated transfer fees and salaries for players that aren't priority signings.

    They can’t afford to fix the stadium or the training complex.
    Simon going on about other clubs
    The big difference is the debt levels at Man Utd are huge.
    Other clubs don’t have that level of debt.
    Now you could argue they have spent money on players but Richard Arnold came out & said the club needs 1 billion to fix the stadium now where’s that money coming from more debt? Then that has a knock on affect to buy players & then Man Utd stop competing at top 6 level because they have to service the debt interest. So then spending is cut other clubs are already taken over them in overall income made a season.

It will not increase in value over the longer term with these owners no matter the external market factors. Moreover, any future potential bidder will look at the current process and think, that’s not for me. It’s not good business to hold onto an asset as it declines and build yourself a toxic reputation in the process. I think they’ll end up selling for less down the track than they could get now. How smart will the Glazers look then Simon? Only two bidders today. I predict zero at $7-10 billion.

    Can’t really argue with what he’s saying in terms of it being a business but it’d be good if rules were brought in to give fans more of a say.. They have it in Germany and I’m sure it’d work here too.. The Premier League is a brand, clubs wouldn’t lose out on anything the Premier League already brings them and clubs as individual businesses could still hire people like Ed Woodward to go do massive sponsorship deals with Chinese noodle companies and bring in mega amounts of money.. It would just mean if the training facilities need upgrading, they’d get upgraded, if a leaky roof needed fixing, it’d get fixed, people with the interests of a club as their priority ensuring the club isn’t used as a “cash cow” and decisions are made for the betterment of the football club..
    Football is more than bunch of businesses and a football club isn’t a typical business, it’s the sport of the people all over the world and football clubs are started by communities of people who love the sport.. They’re not started by rich men who see it as an opportunity to make money, those people push their way in waving cash about and rinse the sport while having zero clue about it..

The club has taken huge losses recently and continues to pile up debt, and needs something like £2 billlion for a new stadium and training ground. The Glazers aren't putting anything in so to realise some of the ambition around increasing the clubs value they need some outside investment or a massive change in the revenue potential (basically the reason for the Super League).
