I got my eyes on this phone. I never let my phone get near water so IP rating isn't much of a big deal to me and I also never use wireless charging either. The headphone jack is a major plus to me. Thanks for the review.

Loved this review. I recently just received my first ever Pixel phone, and this is the model. The price had dropped really significantly and I got it for $110. The phone though refurbished, looks brand new and it's running Android 13. I can't even begin to say how much I love this phone. I don't need any Iphone with this phone is all I can say. Pixel photography is Boss!!
My 4a 5G arrived 2 days ago. I don't care about Wireless charging, and I don't game on my phone, so the 2GB less RAM and 90hz screen aren't a huge deal to me. Plus I'm coming from a Pixel 2XL, so I like the bigger screen. The phone is great so far, and you gotta work to kill the batter (which I've done to get that 0-100 charge 2x now, but man, it took a lot to make it get to 0).at $500 I think it's a good value for what you get, and as long as you don't rely on wireless charging, it's a better deal than the 5 (to me).
The better refresh rate is meaningless unless you game or picky about dvd movies. Otherwise do you notice it at all? I personally dont do much gaming but do watch movie watching.
Fortunately, I haven't missed this one this year as I got one a month ago! At first, I didn't bother looking into it since I wanted the Pixel 5, but nobody had it in stock in my region. After a while of seeing the 4a 5g on my provider's website, I looked into and reasoned myself that I didn't need the extras the 5 had over the 4a 5g, like the bigger battery and 90hz screen. After a few reviews online, the 4a 5g made a whole lot more sense!

@@JubileeRM that is true. I'm thinking about switching to a iphone 12 pro max after this phone. It all depends on what the next pixel phone has by the way.

You are right. There are differences between the GG. Like GG3 I believe is more scratch resistant than GG 5 for instance. But GG 5 is more shatter resistant. Lots of makers have put GG 3 on screen for scratch protection and GG 5 on backs of glass phones for more shatter protection with the whole back being glass.

That really depends on which OS you prefer. If you lean towards a particular OS, go with the device that has that OS. If you don't care about the OS, then get the 4a 5G. It has a better battery, larger display, better camera, more modern design, higher quality OLED screen, compared to IPS on the XR. more RAM, more base storage, plus, the XR is already 2 years old.
The 4a 5g looks like a great phone. It’s €500 here, but I can get the Samsung s20 FE for €550, and for this €50 difference you get wireless charging, better chipset, 120hz screen and Ip-rating. So I’d say that’s a better deal. My Pixel 4a 5g is arriving on Friday, so excited. I don't care much for the plastic body, considering 100% of phone users slap a case on it. I hope the 4a 5g is a worthy successor of my Pixel 2xl.
@TechDaily you forgot to say 2gb lpddr4x less then the pixel 5, that can be a make it or break it for power users a cpu running 8gb ram will always run smoother then running 6gb as a owner of a 4a 5g if you need the processing power for workloads I would go with the 5 the 90 hz screen and 2gb ram make it suited a lot more for people whom work from their phones or who multi window multi task

Should i go for the iPhone XR or pixel 4a 5g
That really depends on which OS you prefer. If you lean towards a particular OS, go with the device that has that OS. If you don't care about the OS, then get the 4a 5G. It has a better battery, larger display, better camera, more modern design, higher quality OLED screen, compared to IPS on the XR. more RAM, more base storage, plus, the XR is already 2 years old.
@@viv.oco0320 how was that a good move?
Great, straight forward review!
The 4a 5g looks like a great phone. It’s €500 here, but I can get the Samsung s20 FE for €550, and for this €50 difference you get wireless charging, better chipset, 120hz screen and Ip-rating. So I’d say that’s a better deal. I’m just not a fan of 6.5 inch phones...I just wished that the pixel 5 had a normal speaker like the 4a 5g and I wouldn’t mind to pay €630 for that compact 6 inch screen.
You get better camera and better battery life with the Pixel.
Had a 3 inch screen palm, then ATT cut off 3 g, now i have this beast....
My Pixel 4a 5g is arriving on Friday, so excited. I don't care much for the plastic body, considering 100% of phone users slap a case on it. I hope the 4a 5g is a worthy successor of my Pixel 2xl.
Nice review. Thanks
$300 right now until the end of March on Google Fi as a new customer.
unless you really want a bigger screen, I don't see a compelling reason to get this one instead of the 4a
The 5G version has a bigger screen, better camera, 60 fps and 4k front video camera and 30fps for 4G, a better processor and better battery all for only $100 more. It is worth it.
@@architectsxiii5379 thanks I'll keep it in mind -- I live in San Francisco and I'd like to see both models in the flesh before purchasing but in a lot of stores the pixels are sold out
Hoping to get this for Xmas. Pretty happy bout it.
love my 4a 5g
4a or 4a 5g which one should I go for ?
I picked 4a because I wanted a smaller phone. Helped that it was cheaper also.
i heard this thing had some glitches
That’s every android
