    A really good example of not needing a lot of items to travel. Hope you're all having a great time!

    I once again declare you the guru of all who love one bag travel!
    THIS is exactly how I pack and I can travel for weeks on end with a pack that size. I don't have this Tom Bihn but if I sell off 1 or 2 used gear I might!
    Great video!

      I'm glad you think I'm the guru! It's a good new bag by Tom Bihn, liking it so far.

    Hey how good is the zoom on the camcorder? I have max 7kg limit for my bag (ultimately I’ll be buying a backpack) & equipment for an up coming trip to Africa & I am trying to find alternatives to bringing a heavy camera & big zoom lens. Frankly I am not a photographer, so my shots would not need to be “professional quality”. This looks manageable & potentially a good alternative? 🤷🏻‍♀️
    Oh I love the Human Gear green GoPouch that stand up!! I clicked on your link & the advertisement says its leak proof…but is it really from your experience? I’m wondering if the solid plastic closer moves easily (to the left or right) when smooshed in a backpack & therefore would leak? 🤔

      The Pocket Pro is very easy for beginners to use. You can just open it and start filming, watch a few videos on how to use the different options, you can get deeper with custom setting if you want but for the most part it works great out of the box in auto mode. Getting used to the gimbal, the following modes, and filming without being jerky are the hardest things to learn to get good at. I've been filming in 1080 becasue it's sufficient for what I do, but it films in higher 4K quality wich is what I would consider "professional quality."
      I'll have to test the GoPouch more, so far it seems leakproof but I've mostly used it for dry goods. I don't think I would store liquids in there, but it seems to work about as well as a plastic zipper freezer bag.

      @ Thank you so much for replying! Fabulous.. I will go checkout the camera & videos as you suggested (thanks). I think it will be perfect for catching those African safari animals “in action”! 🦁 I will also be volunteering at an orphanage & help build a school for them, so I’m sure the camera will get some beautiful action videos with the kids too.

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  14 днів тому +1

      @@sem-w7329 I think it would work great for action shots in the school, perfect use for that. It will be good for the safari as long as the animals are close. The zoom works fine but it's a digital zoom and not super far, I think 2x in 4K and 4x in 1080, so basically like cellphone zoom. Good action cam, but you're not going to get good shots of animals if they're very far away.

      Fjallraven Abisko. It's great, extremely light, packable so you can stuff it in your pack and it won't wrinkle or bend. I have the Western Rise Versa hat as well which is also great but the Fjallraven is a little lighter.

    Was wondering if you were going to bring the Grayl Water Filter Cup. Would it be useful there?

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  2 місяці тому +2

      Oh I actually did bring the UltraPress, you can see it in the clips of me walking around, I just forgot to mention it in the video. It did come in handy, 2 of the places we stayed at had water jugs you could refill from, but one place didn't so we used it to filter the tap water. I've also used it in Argentina for the same thing but also filtering river water while hiking. It's very useful and easy to use, the only downside is it's heavy.

    What was that umbrella?

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  2 місяці тому +2

      It's a mini umbrella by A. Brolly I bought on Amazon, it was cheap and super light, like 3 oz. They don't sell it anymore that I can see, it's listed as unavailable on the Amazon page. This was the product description I pulled from my order history.

      @@OneBagTravels Good for you! This week is their independence day celebrations. Maybe return on this same holiday next year. They truly celebrate🥳
      Also, I have probably 80% of all your travel gear. Been collecting it since I went on a 6 month European trip with one backpack.
      I'm going on several cruises for 2 months so this is the first time I'm taking a huge check-in bag.

      @@GlobalAdventurer Yeah I saw them prepping for independence day, lots of street vendors selling flags and noisemakers. Kind of wish I had come a week later but oh well. Cruises sound fun, we were debating going on an Alaska cruise this fall but opted for Mexico instead

      @@OneBagTravels You made a good choice. I visited Mexico almost 7 years ago for the first time on the whim and was only staying a week. I extended my stay and went home and packed up and moved to Mexico City. That's why I like to travel, because you never know how a place is until you stay there. 2nd best decision I've ever made in my life.

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  2 місяці тому +1

      @@GlobalAdventurer Other than being 10x larger, how does Mexico City compare to smaller but still large cities like Queretaro? I've only been to Mexico City once and only for a few days. Maybe it was just the touristy Centro, but Queretaro seemed to have more of a small town vibe, with everyone going out eating and shopping in the evenings, all the squares were packed with people of all ages hours after dark.
