Um just wanted to clarify Mecha godzila 1 was made by space apes, Mecha Godzilla 2 was made from the remains of Mecha King ghidorah which itself was future tech and when Mecha G2 was destoried it was reperposed into Mogeara for G vs SG, mecha dogaran seems to get its ability from mecha godzilla 3 or kiryu who was made from the bones so the bot itself could use a DNA computer as a simple AI
Just a quick fact check Gadarla is actually based on Battra, Mothra’s “brother” as he has the same ability’s as Mothra’s but has the more sharp design, but Gadarla color scheme might be based off both.
One more thing about Dogoran. One of the Godzilla movies is titled "Destroy all Monsters" making the effect of " *destroy all monsters* your opponent controls." even more fitting.
The Kaiju Archtype is one of my faves, it's great when my friends do all this fancy card Trickery to summon their Uber monster and then I tribute it and give them my Giant spider while I summon King Ghidorah and destroy the monster instantly lol
If your opponent allows you to activate Thunder King’s effect then they deserve to lose all their monster. Frankly, if some one tries that in my, I’ll use the spider’s effect to negate his effect upon special summoning.

Mecha-Dogoran is actually based on the third MechaGodzilla Kiryu, which was the version that was built on the original Godzilla’s corpse with the Super MechaGodzilla as described in the video being built from the corpse of Mecha-King Ghidorah, so I guess the graveyard effect still sticks, either way I just wanted to point that out

It will be cool if they make a Kaiju Monster for the extra deck, a fusion monster with the only requirements of "One kaiju monster in the hand and 1 or 2 monsters in the extra monster zone of one player, summon this card in extra monster zone of the player whose materials on the field where used for this summon" We could use Biollante as base design, which was a monster made by the DNA of Godzilla, a rose and a human

They aren't kaiju, they're mecha, or giant robots. The main difference between mecha and mechanical kaiju is generally that mecha are almost always humanoid in shape, and are also almost always directly piloted by someone, while mechanical Kairi generally have a monstrous appearance and are also generally on some form of autopilot or remote control. There are of course exceptions on both sides, so the real difference is just semantics and usually genres. But Pacific rims mecha aren't really kaiju, there are a group of mecha that basically are, that being the EVAs from Evangelion, which are literally manmade versions of the Kaine type enemies fought in that series, with them being less giant robot and more giant armored monster that can be controlled by a pilot. Look up what a berserk EVA looks like and you'll see it right away.
Fun fact: if you use "Remove Brainwashing" with this deck, the monsters you summoned on your opponents field come back over onto yours, essentially allowing you to have more than one Kaiju. (I think anyways on that last part, don't quote me.) And if that doesn't work, just combo it with "Skill Drain." 🗿
Believe it or not, when I was watching the video just now, the part talking about Gadarla's artwork had a UA-cam ad for Swiffer interrupt. In fact, just before you could say the word dust, the ad said "Dust from the floor can become airborne".

Someone else has probably said this, but Mecha-Dogoran does not have the standard Kaiju rules as it lacks the tribute-to-enemy-field effect, and after the latest errata it cannot be special summoned except to your field by its own effect first, which means I can no longer do the super-cheap OTK of Interrupted Kaiju Slumber - give opponent Mecha-Dogoran and myself Thunder King - use Half Shut on Mecha-Dogoran - Use Thunder King's ability (Kaiju counters are easy to come by) to attack it three times for 9900 life point damage. Probably for the best.
I believe ultimate great moth and the 5 god dragon cards where the first kaiju type monsters in the game since they were inspired by mothra and king ghidorah
I always thought that Dogoran was based far more on Rodan. Obviously it draws inspiration from both, but the whole flying fire breathing thing is way more Rodan than Godzilla.
But they never actually show it flying. Sure, it has wings, but we never see it in the air. Also, the fact that there's a mecha version is pretty strong evidence in favor of Godzilla, as is the fire exploding out of its body.
One way to make the pure version of this deck really good is to Create a link kaiju as king kong alike: beast / earth eff. 2+ Kaiju on the field (this card is not treated as a "Kaiju" monster while it's on the field). Kaiju monsters that your opponent controls cannot activate their effect. When a "Kaiju" monster on your side of the field would be affected by a card in your opponent possession (Quick Effect): You can remove 3 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; Return that monster to the hand. ATK 2600 LINK-2
I grew up on old Godzilla films, so I am baffled as to why I never endeavoured to collect these the same way I did Red-Eyes, TG, ZW and Destiny Hero (the latter despite my lack of interest in Comic Books, though I chalk it up to their being based on British anti-heroes and me being British...), but now I am after Radian for my pure Fiend Archfiend build with it being a strong Fiend-Type, its Effect a cushty little bonus as you can do a lot worse than a Kaijou in your Deck! Plus, it'll go nicely with the likes of Gorz, Red-Eyes, the Chesspiece and my newly acquired Darkness Neosphere for instilling terror in my opponents!
I ALWAYS mess up the Kaiju counters. I either need to just remove the counter cards from my deck or get good. I keep forgetting the opponent can activate the counters as well!!!
And now we also have Super Anti-Kaiju War Machine Mecha-Thunder-King who is based on Mecha King Ghidorah. This card came out in Savage Strike, just a few days after this video.
One quick note on the Card based of off MechaGodzilla. (No im not gonna type out the full name) Its actually based off of Kiryu, or more specifically the third version of MG.
10:15 that wasn't Mecha Godzilla II, that was Mecha Godzilla III (or Kiryu) in the Millennium Era of the Godzilla films (around year 2000.) Mecha Godzilla II was built from the remains of Mecha King Ghidorah from the 1991 film
I always saw Mecha Dogoran being more of a reference to the Kiryu version of Mechagodzilla, since that is the one that was built from the bones of the original Godzilla
all the kaijus have one glaring weakness and that is if you cant tribute you cant summon them just another reason to run the old card know as MASK OF RESTRICT its a continuous trap whose effect states neither player can tribute monsters
Dogoran = Godzilla Kumongous = Kumonga Radian = Dark Lugiel, Ultraman Tiga Dark Giants, Radians, Rodan (?), and (possibly) Ultraman Belial Mecha-Dogoran = MechaGodzilla (more than likely Kiryu) Gamaciel = Gamera Gadarla = Mothra and Batra Thunder King = King Ghidorah Jizukiru = Legion Kyoutou Waterfront = Tokyo Tower I love the references to so many kaiju. I honestly wish there would be more cards introduced to this series, or even cards meant to counter the Kaiju, being references to mecha like the Gypsy Danger, Mogera, or even Super Sentai mecha. Yeah we got Super Sentai like cards with the Super Quantum series, but I mean cards specifically made to be the antithesis to the Kaiju archetype.

The way I think of a pure Kaiju deck:
"You're not fighting me with your deck - you're fighting me with MY deck."
It's especially true since the opponent can use your Kaiju Counters against you.

You could possibly summon your own small monster and nuke it with Interrupted Slumber.
There are cards you can play to Summon tokens to their side (Ojama Trio is an example).

It's incredible that a tragic event that occur back in japan inspired the most iconic kaiju we all know and love today.
On the mecha subject, we also have a great exemple in Digimon, where most mega/ultimate forms tend to have metal bodies and metal in it's name

The design of those Kaiju Monster are cool and monsterous. In Design...Gamaciel,Dogoran,Jizukiru and Thunder King have the best monster design.

The main difference between mecha and mechanical kaiju is generally that mecha are almost always humanoid in shape, and are also almost always directly piloted by someone, while mechanical Kairi generally have a monstrous appearance and are also generally on some form of autopilot or remote control. There are of course exceptions on both sides, so the real difference is just semantics and usually genres. But Pacific rims mecha aren't really kaiju, there are a group of mecha that basically are, that being the EVAs from Evangelion, which are literally manmade versions of the Kaine type enemies fought in that series, with them being less giant robot and more giant armored monster that can be controlled by a pilot. Look up what a berserk EVA looks like and you'll see it right away.

Fun fact: if you use "Remove Brainwashing" with this deck, the monsters you summoned on your opponents field come back over onto yours, essentially allowing you to have more than one Kaiju.

Yes, Mecha Sonic is actually a seperate robot from Metal Sonic. Mecha is the one seen in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, while Metal was first seen in Sonic CD for those who don't know

Someone else has probably said this, but Mecha-Dogoran does not have the standard Kaiju rules as it lacks the tribute-to-enemy-field effect, and after the latest errata it cannot be special summoned except to your field by its own effect first, which means I can no longer do the super-cheap OTK of Interrupted Kaiju Slumber - give opponent Mecha-Dogoran and myself Thunder King - use Half Shut on Mecha-Dogoran - Use Thunder King's ability (Kaiju counters are easy to come by) to attack it three times for 9900 life point damage. Probably for the best.

I always thought that Dogoran was based far more on Rodan. Obviously it draws inspiration from both, but the whole flying fire breathing thing is way more Rodan than Godzilla.
But they never actually show it flying. Sure, it has wings, but we never see it in the air. Also, the fact that there's a mecha version is pretty strong evidence in favor of Godzilla, as is the fire exploding out of its body.
Also Dogoran is the face card of the kaiju archetype, the face card HAS to be Godzilla

I grew up on old Godzilla films, so I am baffled as to why I never endeavoured to collect these the same way I did Red-Eyes, TG, ZW and Destiny Hero (the latter despite my lack of interest in Comic Books, though I chalk it up to their being based on British anti-heroes and me being British...), but now I am after Radian for my pure Fiend Archfiend build with it being a strong Fiend-Type, its Effect a cushty little bonus as you can do a lot worse than a Kaijou in your Deck! Plus, it'll go nicely with the likes of Gorz, Red-Eyes, the Chesspiece and my newly acquired Darkness Neosphere for instilling terror in my opponents!

I ALWAYS mess up the Kaiju counters. I either need to just remove the counter cards from my deck or get good. I keep forgetting the opponent can activate the counters as well!!!

all the kaijus have one glaring weakness and that is if you cant tribute you cant summon them just another reason to run the old card know as MASK OF RESTRICT its a continuous trap whose effect states neither player can tribute monsters

I love the references to so many kaiju. I honestly wish there would be more cards introduced to this series, or even cards meant to counter the Kaiju, being references to mecha like the Gypsy Danger, Mogera, or even Super Sentai mecha. Yeah we got Super Sentai like cards with the Super Quantum series, but I mean cards specifically made to be the antithesis to the Kaiju archetype.
