This is why Nat is awesome. No cheesy intro or clips for watch time. Just straight up facts and great information.
Thanks - I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you enjoy my video style
I agree!! I love this guy straight to the point
@@Kailonbass Thanks 🙂
Really digging your videos. No fluff. No advertising. Just solid info delivered rapidly. Im a beginner angler with only experience fishing trout in faster moving spring fed rivers with lots of shoals. So fishing lakes and slow moving water is an alien concept to me. Your videos are second to none. Thank you so much Nat. ❤
Thank you. Your time is valuable and so is mine. No need for long, pointless intros or dishonest product pushing. You can expect to find concise, factual videos on this channel without a bunch of product pushing like too many other channels have.
Even though I’ve been fishing for a minute, I always enjoy watching these informational videos as you can always learn something new
Thanks for the feedback!
My daughter and I are new into the fishing world, your videos have been a HUGE help 😭🙌🏻thank you, Nat!
Great - glad you are finding my videos helpful!
Please do one on rainbow trout. This series is amazing and so helpful!
Thanks for the feedback. I would like to do one on rainbows. They are scattered around here and different to film but I plan to try.
Just caught my pb here in Michigan 2 days ago. 4.8 pounds. I love this channel because of how realistic and detailed it is. Also because you could condense the entirety of the basics of bass fishing into 4 minutes! I would love if you did one of these videos for smallmouth as I sometimes struggle with those. Thanks Nat!
Stay tuned. I'm working on a smallmouth video. I've been out filming them a few times now. Thanks for your feedback.
Really entertaining and informative video. Thanks Nat!
Thank you 🙂
I love your videos!!!
I can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks - I appreciate the feedback
I would LOVE to see one of these geared towards any type of catfish as tend to be nocturnal! Love this series so much
Thanks - I appreciate it. I would like to do one of these on catfish. It's a challenge to find and film them during the day when lighting is good enough to film them. I've been trying and I have gotten a few good clips so far.
This video series is just the best. A few minutes of relaxation and some knowledge. What's not to like?
Thanks - I appreciate that
Another awesome vid. Keep it up man
Thanks
Great video buddy! Really enjoyed checking this out! Keep up the good work my friend!
Thanks
I can tell you are considerate of our time. Thank you.
I try to keep things concise. I'm glad you enjoy my style. 🙂
Finally you made one of these videos about a freshwater fish that I actually care about
I hope you enjoyed this one then!
Ive been waiting for this one😁😁
Cool
Literally was looking for this vid on your channel last night lol
And then there it was!
great as always!
Thanks - glad you liked it!
I really love your videos your amazing❤️
Thank you 🙂
Thanks you for that!
😎👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! Any chance you’ll do Perch next?
He did one on perch earlier this year
Yes I did a perch video in April. Here's a link to that one ua-cam.com/video/GnB9I07x_eo/v-deo.html . Also did northern pike, bluegill, and bowfin.
@@FishingwithNat Thanks, great video!
@@rpgpuffer361 Thank you
A million thanks for the dedication and work that you put on this videos... you have taught me a lot. I’ve started fishing a month ago haven’t catch anything yet but I’m close thank to your lessons... could you explain that different bobbers and their use for different situations?? Thanks ❤ keep up the awesome content 🎉
That is a video topic I plan to do very soon. Stay tuned...
@@FishingwithNat I’ll be looking forward for it. Once again thank you. 😊
Thanks for updating once i caught a Bass fish on anchovies weight in about two pounds 😊
Cool!
A video on fish behavior relating to getting spooked might be cool. Things like swivels, sounds, sights, actions, and colors/textures that can possibly spook fish might be interesting if there is any published research on the topic.
That's a neat idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
Would love to see more of these
More to come...
Awesome, thank you. Could you do a video on swimbaits and gliders, and day and color, when is the best time?
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm working on several other video topics but I'll write that down for a later time
I almost caught my first bass I messed up on the hook set, and the moment it jumped and shook its head it unhooked 😢
But still, love your videos ❤
That happens. Bass are very good at that!
YES! FINALLY! I figured you were saving them for last, lol.
Glad you were excited to see this one come out!
We have the same thing with pike after the spawn they go nuts. And bite like crazy.
Cool!
Great video
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it!
no one talking about how 0:07 bro had a whole other bass in his throat not even fully swallowed and he was already trying to eat another fish by grabbing the jerk bait??
Yeah that was pretty crazy to see when I lifted it out of the water. I'd think the bass would be pretty full after swallowing that other bass.
hello! great video. but i was wondering if u could maybe include what regions in the continents these fish reside in. just a thought. great video for the rest🙌🏽
Thanks for the feedback. Largemouth are native to the Mississippi River basin and southeastern United States but have been introduced to most of the U.S. except the areas around the Rocky Mountains.

Well yeah probably

@@FishingwithNat can we get a soft plastics video series soon?
@@Tie_Rod_End Good suggestion - that's on my list, actually. Stay tuned.
It's weird. I'm seeing this today. It says eight days ago
Hi, I'm going to begin my fishing journey with my family, can you recommend a good beginner rod? Thank you
I would highly recommend watching this video I made about buying your first set of beginner fishing gear and avoiding buying a bunch of stuff you don't need: ua-cam.com/video/rhhBPNUXYis/v-deo.html Any medium-light spinning combo is perfect for most people and the brand isn't really that important as a beginner.
Ive been wanting to catch one of those since I got into fishing, the last time I was fishing was in September 2023 I used Canadian night crawlers on a simple bobber setup and I still didn't get any bites next time I'll try using a jig head with a piece of nightcrawler so I can catch bass hiding in deep water
Largemouth are caught often on nightcrawlers, so keep trying or you can give another type of lure a shot. If you like using live bait, a minnow under a bobber is a good way to catch largemouth.
I just saw your videos on rods and reels, what kind of reel do you use on your ugly stik carbon? I’m a beginner fisher and I haven’t had any luck. I was hoping that a better rod and reel would make a difference
I try to fish for bass
@@sancho783 I have a bunch of carbons of different powers/lengths, and they are paired with Pflueger Supremes, Pflueger President XTs, or Diawa Regal LTs. All of those are great and they are available from most outdoor retailers like FishUSA or Cabelas. Here are links to all three: alnk.to/3U0QgAN alnk.to/bPcZOih alnk.to/cwS59xt
@@FishingwithNat thank you, I’ve found you’re channel really helpful
@@sancho783 Great to hear and welcome to the channel.
Do you guys eat the large mouth bass? I just see everyone releasing them on videos. I'm from Norhern EU and we don't have any bass here. How does it taste like compared to Northern Pike, Perch or Walleye?
Some people do. It's not as good as walleye or perch. I think pike is better than largemouth too. I have eaten them and they are decent, but just not one of my favorites.
Do one on trout
Thanks for the suggestion. I'd like to do one on trout. Working on a couple other videos at the moment though.
Thanks for fluke style soft plastic wacky rig!
Nothing like a Neko fluke for finicky bass in the spring!
nice
Thanks
hey, whats the name of bait that is half hard bait andhas soft tail ?
Are you referring a specific one shown in the video or something else?
@@FishingwithNat something else
@@Blixtons There are many lures that have solid heads and soft tails/bodies. The Rapala Power Rattle is one that comes to mind, and quite a few swimbaits do well paired with hard jig heads. Then you could consider various underspins/spinnerbaits/jigs to be half hard and half soft too.
I have a question. When I was trolling with my deep diving tail dancer crankbait, it continually when back to the surface while being trolled and wasn’t diving. Any tips?
My guess is that the bait just needs a slight tuning. If the line tie is slanted just a bit left or right, it will cause the bait to run off to the side and sometimes up and down instead of just diving down. A slight adjustment is probably all that you need.
@@FishingwithNat ok thank you. Because when I was looking out, I could see my lire splashing hitting the water not diving
@@dd1190 Yeah I've had that happen many times, even with lures right out of the package. Try bending the lure eye left or right just a TINY bit and making a cast. Pay attention to whether it dives down or slightly left/right. If it's way off, you may find that the lure spins or runs in all kinds of crazy directions. Just keep making small adjustments and you'll get it running straight.
@@FishingwithNat ok, appreciate it. And do you know the Chippewa Flowage or Blueberry Lake in Northern Wisconsin
@@dd1190 I know of them but haven't fished either one. The Chippewa Flowage and the Turtle-Flambeau are both places that I'd like to get to one of these days.
do the life of the walleye and how to catch a walleye
It's on my list. I've done some filming of walleye this summer but want to get some additional footage of them yet.
another Nat classic
Glad you liked it!
Dang missed another one
Missed what?
@@FishingwithNat I think of missing a video like not watching it for the first hour it has been out (it's weird I know)
@@Jaxson_Gearhart Ah, gotcha.
Love your vids but you should do cutthroat trout
More of these to come...We don't have any cutthroats around here for me to film though.
Hi can you make a small mouth bass video plez🙏🙏🙏xx
Yes. Stay tuned...
>13 minute club⬇
Cool

#1!
Wacky rigging a zoom fluke 🤦🏽♂️
Neko-rigged fluke. It's killer for walleyes and bass in spring.
I call total BS on the idea that fish can recognize lures. The studies were BS because you simply cannot read fish minds and they certainly aren't going to tell us anything. Fish are just fish and for all the study knows the bass that wouldn't bite again possibly ate other bait fish after being hooked and simply didn't want to eat again for awhile. There is no possible way for anyone to justify this claim.
Fair enough. I believe the study looked at captive largemouth bass where they could present lures to the fish multiple times and they knew what and when the fish were eating. So they just had to observe the fish's behavior toward a lure, no mind-reading involved.
