LOL I WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER THE MOON IF THAT WAS MY FIRST CAR LOL.I HAD A 76 FORD GRENADA AND IN THE EARLY 90S WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL I WANTED A FOX MUSTANG GT AND YES BACK IN 95 I BOUGHT MY 87 TOP MUSTANG GT AND YES I STILL HAVE MY 87 AND FOR MY 3RD CAR I BOUGHT MY 87 MUSTANG GT.
Awesome video man! Honestly, I think the original owner would absolutely love to see this (I'll send him the link). Congrats from finally beating me down to sell it lol! I'm sure she's gonna love it and will be the coolest kid on the block!
Glad your back… there isn’t another channel like yours. You are one of the most genuine like able creators on here. As someone that’s watched your stuff before you even broke 1k subs… Never change. Lower the car 😂
You sure know how to make a return! Glad you’re back and love the car. It’s awesome that your daughter wanted a Foxbody as her first car and used her own money. Sounds like a great/smart young lady. The car is amazing and hopefully it will give you some great content doing the small things to get it ready and road worthy. Welcome back!
Dude I love it! Congrats to your daughter. It’s so good to see/hear you again!!! Thanks very much for the kind words as well. Can’t wait for the next one 🥳🥳🥳
Any fox you get off of Chris is a damn good car...big fan of his channel....I went out and just bought a LTD...a 4 door fox...I'm doing a build on this as a break from me doing foxbodys.... congratulations to your daughter on one bad ass 86!
I got to meet Chris and Gary last Sunday at fox fest and asked about you. Great to see your back. You can see your raising her up right. Congratulations that is a sweet car.
That is an awesome gift for your daughter! That GT is beautiful Brother! Her statement was spot on, “There is always something with these cars.” 😊 She is a true Foxbody Mustang owner! 💯👊🏾 Good to see you back putting out content Brother!💯
I’m glad you are back; we missed you. Kiddos to you Dad!.. Your daughter seems very sweet. I’m impressed she is paying for it. She’ll appreciate the car more so because of it. I like the ride height as is. The cobra wheels make the car.
Very cool at 17 years old for my very first high school car I got a crazy deal on a 1984 fox body 5.0 with a 5 speed. I still have it almost 10years later. Enjoy your car what an awesome experience to experience
Brings back memories for me. I was soo very close to buying red ‘86 years ago. Could never make it happen but all is good cause I was finally able to buy a ‘93 LX hatch.
Good to see you're back! Congratulations on your daughter's new ride!!! A Black 4-eye is my favorite Fox, I had one in the late 80s and want another one some day.
I bought my first and only 1984 GT fox in 1987, when I was 19 and you know one of the first questions I get asked when I see an old friend that I haven't seen is "do you still have that awesome mustang you had WAY back in the day and I am blessed to say "I sure do". I took a loan out to buy the car and I was still short $250 and had to meet up with the seller a couple weeks later to pay him back. It was the first car my son, Jake drove after getting his learner's permit and he bucked it in first gear up the road. He loved Fords and always told his younger sister he was getting the Mustang. We lost Jake in a car accident in 2011 and the car is a tribute to Jake. It just so happens to be a black T-Top car. Your daughter will be able to enjoy the car with you and that is a wonderful gift. Keep on Mustanging. Jake's Dad, Tom
Wow talk about a super clean cherry of a find! Lucky girl. My first stang was a black with grey interior T-top 87 LX hatch (5 spd of course) with about 30k miles on it… I was 16 and also paid for it on my own, but that was about 30 years ago!! It was born stock except for 16” pony wheels but I quickly nodded the heck out of it. I say keep the cobra reps and lower it for sure!
@@GearHead704 Yes sir! I’m 40 so I’ve been driving one since they were new. It has always been overlooked but the 4.6 2V has been super reliable for me. I’m starting to see younger kids now driving them. It’s getting harder to find a clean new edge hard top with v8 and manual transmission.
I vote No on lower. I like the rear height slightly higher than the front. Beautiful first car. Brings back memories to my high school days. I had one then.
Missed ya buddy. Awesome car your daughter has, lucky young lady. Hope to meet you in person one day. If I can ever get one of my cars done so I can make one of the shows your tent is my first stop.
@GearHead704 I hope to have the convertible done by foxtober fest. That's the one I've always wanted to go to. I figure that's one you will attend bc your friends put that one on. If you know someone who has a nose for a 83 to 86 car let me know or a header pannel for one bc that's what I really need I have the nose I want just needs a header pannel.
That, '86 GT will be much more reliable, than many modern vehicles you could have given her. Great job! My 16 year old son's first vehicle is a 1985 Ford F150 short bed.
Hey brother!!! You are doing it the right way.. Teaching her responsibilities of owning and purchasing her first car!!! Congrats to her and you! Keep at it and luv them bloopers... Btw... Lower it!!😜😜🤣😂
Hey Matt, so glad to see you’re back! Man, that four eye is in awesome shape. Those Cobra replicas look great on that car. The lowering springs would be an awesome upgrade. Window tint would be the only other aesthetic change I would make. Looking forward to seeing more content from you on this project. Hope your daughter enjoys her fox for years to come!
stock ride height is sweet on the fox's .... personally, i dont like scrapping the k member on every road around town...lol....i would make it more reliable with a carb swap ..but that's just me man ...carb over efi because i can make a carbed car run if it breaks down on the side of the road ....efi, especially speed density sucks when sensors go out on the side of the road. but WOW!!!! that's a gem man ....stock and looks that good ......such a amazing fox!!!!! deserves to be a museum piece ....lol.... the untouched stock cars like that are so awesome to me .... thanks for showing it off!!

Happy to see you back. Love the ‘86 GT for her. My first fox was the same except for mine had a 5 spd. Put some of the new 17” 10 holes on it from LMR.
Love it, Matt! Reminds me of an '86 I had back in like '92, but mine was black with red interior and not a 5.0 lol. Excellent choice for a first car! Keep that foxbody love alive!

I think so too! Thanks buddy.
Great Choice. Excellent 1st Car
Thanks she loves it.
That’s awesome !!! Definitely a proud moment!!!! My opinion , stock ride height and 17 inch ten hole rims.
She is leaning stock because she doesn't like the climb in and climb out at her height lol.
Nice car it's great to see your daughter with a foxbody very cool.
Thanks, she loves this car.
