Can we have another update soon? I just got prescribed buspar for my anxiety and I’m loving it! I can’t believe how anxious I was and how it was affecting my body.. I had so much tension.. I finally feel free.😭
I'm about a month in on Buspirone, started at 5mg 3x daily, moved to 7.5 3x daily. I've had a lot of ups and downs this past month, but I don't regret start this medicine at all, it really does take time to work and they say it has a "half life" which is true. hence why a lot of people take it 3x daily. But overall, I don't see myself stopping this medication for a long time, it really does help.
I’ve been on Buspirone for close to a year and have noticed an overall improvement. However, one of the cons of this medication is lethargy at higher doses around 30mg, so I reduced down to breaking pills in half and take 10mg daily and noticed feeling more motivated throughout the day. Thank you for your sharing your experience.
Great information! Thank you so much for the honest, detailed review of this medication. And your 🐈 cat at 4:01 is so funny and cute how she just pops up on the bed out if nowhere. Lol ❤ Adorable 🥰
I also had the strange dreams. Not scary dreams just very vivid and odd. I was taking 5mg twice a day then after two weeks moved it up to 5mg three times a day. I found it worked well but started giving me serious brain fog. After a month I wanted to try and stop taking it to see what the effect would be. The last thing I wanted to do was become dependent on a medication. I also did not want to have any strange side effects/ withdrawals that can come with these types of medications. My Doctor told me this medication was non addictive and I could come off of it so I tried. Well I was actually able to stop taking it with no side effects. I'm not suggesting anyone just cold turkey it but I did and was fine. The only reason I added that was I know how many people have fear of becoming dependent on meds or having crazy episodes while getting off of certain meds. Just being non addictive is a huge plus for me.
Just picked up my first prescription at 5mg and I'm glad I've found your videos. I am in a similar position already being on ADHD meds so I now know what to look for in side effects. Thanks for putting these up.
Incredibly helpful testimonial. I watched every video and hope you will continue to update regardless of the outcome. I also have ADHD and GAD. I was prescribed Lexapro but after reading the sides decided it's not worth it to live like that. I also was considering Wellbutrin and Buspirone as a workaround the risky meds for ADHD and GAD. If you can resolve everything with Buspirone and Ritalin it gives me hope. I'm a bit older than you and I'm frankly not functional, if these meds can give me a chance to succeed I will be so grateful.
Thank you so much for these videos!!! I’m about to start taking Buspar, with my first dose being tomorrow morning. I’m looking forward to starting after watching ALL of your videos. Looking forward to your next video!!!! God Bless!!!
Thank you for making this video. I actually just got prescribed this because I was having trouble breathing and my doctor thinks it may be due to anxiety. I didn’t realize it also helped with ADD and depression which I also know I have but never been treated for. I really hope this helps and kinda cool it might also help with my ADD.
Thank you so much for the update. I have panic attacks at night. It’s centered around fear of not being able to sleep. (Long, boring story.) the only medication I am on is buspirone. I’ve been on it for 3.5 months. I take it regularly, as prescribed. Unfortunately for me, it has not stopped my panic attacks. (Maybe they would be worse without it, who knows.) I have not had any side effects.
I have worked up to taking Buspirone 30 mg 2x daily. I cut out Escitalopram. Buspirone helps me remember my self worth and gives me the confidence to speak my mind and also not internalize sarcasm or facetious comments from people. I have never been tested for ADHD but have read this drug also benefits that. So maybe its helping me stay more organized at work.
Thanks for your video. I take 15 mgs of Buspirone 2x daily for anxiety and 10 mg of Lexapro for depression. I dont have diagnosed ADHD but think i might. I just know i cant take Wellbutrin because it gives me severe dry mouth to the point i iose my voice. 😊
Hey there, this is such a great review of buspar. I love how depth you are with describing everything so thank you for that. I was wondering if you have or had any dizziness? I would love to try this medication again because I’m not living, I’m just surviving with my anxiety issues but I tried this med once years ago and only lasted a day because I got the worst dizziness! I stopped right away because I felt like I was on a merry go round 😂but maybe I should have stayed on longer. I also have read so many people say they got bad insomnia and during that time did you feel wired? I hate that feeling. 💚
I did have dizziness at the beginning! I noticed the dizziness was worse when I ate with buspar, so I stopped eating when I take it and it got rid of it for me. I also did experience insomnia but it was only for the first month and melatonin helped a lot! I hope this helps, good luck!
Thank you for this… I’ve been on it for 4 days and I feel the slightest bit better. Hopefully after a few months I’ll be where you are. I’ve had 0 side effects so far. How did it affect your libido? If so when did you notice? Do you think taking it 3 times a days to be more helpful? Doe’s caffeine make your anxiety worse?
It actually increased my libido, especially the first few months. But it started to go back to normal recently! Also to respond to your other question, I prefer taking it 3x a day because I’m a fast metabolizer and I can feel my anxiety creeping back in the afternoon.
hey, i'm on buspar right now and was just wondering if your taking the pill once or twice a day? because im on 10mg and I take it twice a day. morning and night.
Did you happen to experience an excitement feeling with elevated heart rate the first few weeks? I watched your videos and really appreciate you sharing your journey but don’t recall if you had this side effect in the beginning.
I’m on Wellbutrin and bus .. for adhd but I don’t think they are working for that but my Dr is one not to listen and just make her own suggestions that have not addressed adhd.. some things have been good and on bud now only a week so maybe things will get better
Just started this 3 days ago. 10mg 2x a day. Ive been sick for 2 and a half years ever since i got the virus. On top of so many other symptoms i noticed my anxiety wouldnt let me basically wonder too fat away from my house. Since basically for 2 years havent been able to go anywhere. I get a few good days here and there and soon as i start to think about going anywhere anxiety kicks in and makes all my other symptoms worse. For 2 days i took 5 mg 2x a day. Just to see how i feel. First day i was little tired( which wasnt scary i have very bad fatigue everyday) and lightheadedness. Today i took 10 mg. For 3 hours i felt high. Extremely fatigued and lightheaded. That went away and i was ok. Same thing happened on my pm dose. Reminds me of when id smoke weed back in the day. My body would get so tired and just lay in bed paralyzed. Hopefully this med helps my anxiety so it will be more easier to do more exposure therapy to get my brain to realize its safe.
@@franciscogutierrez528 it has helped me a little. Also dont be nervous. I wasted alot of time worrying. It wasnt so bad. I just got extra fatigue and nausea but it goes away after a while. I had to switch up my dosage to 5 mg 4 times a day. 10 mg was making the side effects last 3 hours. But we are all different. Im pretty sure you will do fine. The virus has made me pretty much disabled with so many symptoms. If i can handle the side effects and being this sick a normal person will do fine. Good luck.
I don’t know for sure if it is safe to take while pregnant! I will ask my doctor in my next visit, but I recommend asking your prescriber if you are pregnant or intend on getting pregnant while on the medicine
Let me be straight never ever use any kind of sleeping or antidepressants of any kind while you're pregnant doesn't matter if your doctor tells you to use them your child is going to have to pay for it. Do meditation and use vitamins supplements, 90 percent of the people who use antidepressants regret it big time and it worsens the symptoms to the point where people have no option but to commit suicide, the only proven way is meditation but it takes time and patience but once you develop the habit your life is change forever.
I just watched a video prior to this one from a doctor/nurse that said Buspar is highly rated with less side effects making it safe to take for pregnant women.
I pray that God deliver you and us all feom the sorit of anxiety pray pray pray he will heal us

How's it going?
It’s still going really good! The only complaint is that I get dizzy for like 20 minutes after I take it but that’s pretty much it

Everything has a half life. All that means is a specific time at which the medicines decays to half its effectiveness within your body
Update?

Caffeine definitely makes my anxiety worse, I've had to cut it out of my life multiple times, trying to limit or not drink it at all these days
So glad you are doing well! Do you feel it has helped your sleep also?
God Bless you
I want to try it but I drink alcohol often
Do you feel like it had an adverse effect on your memory at all?
I'm only on day 2 and buspirone is the only anxiety med that my system even noticed, but I can barely feel my ritalin now

I deal with PMDD, depression, anxiety and panic that’s debilitating.

Are you still taking Buspirone??
Are you only taking buspirone and has it helped with your depression?
