What is a Dark Empath? They are people who are high in both empathy and darkness.
To understand the dark empath you first have to understand something that's even scarier and that's called the dark triad: Narcissism, Machiavellianism, Psychopathy
The difference between a dark empath and a “normal empath” is that they are high in cognitive empathy rather than affective empathy.
Upon first thought, the dark empath sounds kind of sexy when in fact can be the most emotionally dangerous. A dark empath may actually be more dangerous than a more cold and unfeeling dark triad type because the so-called dark empath can draw you in closer-and do more harm as a result. The closer you are to someone, the more you can hurt them.

I would say I fit this personality type, but it didn’t occur to me until I dated my ex and he physically assaulted me when I tried to leave the relationship, it’s one year post break up and I’m still making him pay emotionally and financially for the incident.

It would be interesting to observe encounters between dark empaths and dark triad people in various social situations. For example, it would be interesting to observe which individual management executive, out of a group of management executives consisting of only dark empaths and dark triad people, would make the best leader of the group.

What's the difference between a Dark Empath and a Narcissist'? They seem the same as per this description.
Motive, M.O, skills… for starters one has a fractioned mind and the other such an integrated one it’s surpassed itself (in terms of mindfulness-awareness.. ) allowing them to feel everyone and everything around them, being in direct contact with earth and all its aspects 24/7 (or some of its aspects - it’ll depend on how deep in and out they allow themselves to go to begin with). Empaths act out of wanting to achieve very clear goals. Goals that sure, can be selfish and dark if they’ve been so exploited by their original good natured mindset they gave up on humanity’s light. Regardless, they’re always fully aware and “in charge” of themselves, including of course their TRUE intentions (empaths don’t lie to themselves) actions and possible outcomes. Unlike the narc who’s the complete opposite and acts out in ways they can’t even remember most the time. Narcs are like animals in the sense that they go about their entire lives trying to make this hole, this emptiness they feel inside themselves go away by throwing everything they can in. They act out of fear and desperation. There’s zero self awareness involved, which is why their personal growth gets compromised and they act like a child (in the eyes of an empath anyways..). Metaphorically speaking, it’s like both started at the same point; staring into the abysm of self, only one decided to dive into it fearlessly and investigate and the other got so frightened by emptiness he made it his life purpose to try and runaway from it, from himself.

Well since my covert narcissistic sibling (possibly malignant) is now claiming to be an empath, this would have to be the fit.
This is very interesting. I think it describes a woman I know. After years and years of knowing this person, I realise that she's shrewd, calculating, she can be very warm and have the broadest smile at times but she attacks with the power and subtlety of a laser beam. One of her "best" traits is going after someone's reputation. It's scary and demonic. It is very demonic.
It took me a while to know that this person was venomous to the core. To be honest, I'm scared of what she is capable of. I wish I'd never known her.

Yes, I've met a dark empath and she has this crab mentality to go up the ladder in my company and has affected me big time. How do I tackle such behavior, otherwise she will continue doing so with others too.
Study the behavioural patterns. Work out what makes her ‘tick’. Then get inside her head and destroy from the inside out. Beat her at her own game - it might take a while and it takes guts !
i am a dark empath and i am not realy interested in hurting someone if i don't have reason i manipulate more for my and your benifit not realy to hurt you but i have hurt people and i know it's wrong but i don't realy care because i think those times was justified

Poeple that treated others like they wanted to be treated . People that did real good and always never judged others . People that are real happy in life . These are the people that transform from death to the afterlife with ease . These are also the people that when in the afterlife are just the way they lived on earth and are with love and light . Loving , joyful and non judgemental. Sadly for people that love hurting others its a complete opposite journey. When you live your whole life hurting others and being narcissist. You tent to give out that your not intrested in love , light God , non judgemental and making people feel happy . Just because she is ambitious in her career doesn’t mean she’s a dark empath. How specifically has she affected you? What is your goal for dealing with her? I guess if you just want revenge and she is obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder you could strategize on making that more difficult for her.

On the other hand lack of emotional empathy is a strong trait of a narcisist along the sensitivity to control and feeding of emotions... Just like all points descrabing thinking 'dark empath'.

The dark triad is a spectrum polarity of sorts which can NOT be generalized in such a black and white manner. It’s a spectrum thing. The fact is many of those on the polarity are intuitive and simply have higher situational awareness. Which is how this type stays 10 steps ahead.
Wether cerebrally or empathically there’s an inner intuitiveness that allows those on this spectrum to coherently tune in & out of emotions when needed. They simply are not victims to their emotions when it’s not necessary.
Darker Empaths however are NOT A NEW GROUP. But a very ancient well balanced soul group. Not dangerous. Just different. This Empath is more in tune to their cerebral sides and are just a more balanced empath.
There is no black & white good or bad empath. Empathic people can be EITHER depending on how healthy their mindset diet and environment is. One type is just living in their LOWER SELF and one more their HIGHER SELF. This mental state is interchangeable depending on their frequency.
No the darker empath is not always just an intuitive using his powers for bad. Because it’s all relative. What one considers bad another will consider saintly. Like robbing the rich to give to the poor. It’s not all manipulative play. Just depends how one thinks and reasons. They rarely manipulate random people or situations and are helping more than contriving.
Its all nearly impossible to translate into mere words but even a darker empath is still one of the best defenses this planet has on its side bc it surely isn’t a typical minded saint out here who can play the malevolent types at their own games...It’s the very ones who can get into the minds of a bad guy and meet them at the cross roads before it happens and slay them.
If and when that happens, it’s common that even an empath on his darker day will often still let humane justice prevail and do what needs to be done for the greater good. They eat narcissist and sociopaths up for dinner unlike anyone else can. 😊

I think we are on the same page - I completely feel the same way- I don’t like being deceived and I don’t like feeling angry and it’s kind of like i would rather not be betrayed in the first place- no one has given back to me the loyalty I gave them - the only way to get rid of the horrible feeling is to go after the person who made me feel that way but not in an illegal way

Yes and she sucked me in hook, line and sinker. Then when I caught on after helping her make it to a high level which was my level, she when above and and around me to peers and boss Dark soul man. I had to forgive for me but I stay away and most people really despise her but the ones she’s managed to fool that she’s the victim. I said I had to forgive for me but not forget. I hope karma comes her way as I stay away.
