Omg i LOVED the fl, the acting of the whole cast, and the writing! Idk why there are misleading comments but the fl stood on business and the revenge was satisfying! It was unfortunate but made sense that she still got abused by her family because there's rarely an outsider/ally that can stop that from happening, regardless of what most dramas show us. But thankfully yhere wasn't 20 minutes of berating from every "villain" she encountered either. I honestly can't believe how good this period rebirth cdrama was!

I almost skipped it after reading the comments but this is one of the better versions of historical rebirth dramas. FL got abused by her family because she was fighting alone, but with each scene she was setting up plots and ready for next action. The great thing is, plots of insult are not too long like other dramas in which all villians keep speaking without any halt
This is a very good, slightly comical “Reborn/revenge-plot”-story with good actors and an interesting storyline - despite the exaggerated acting at times. I loved this (not overly) strong/capable/smart FL (my favorite kind) and clever/cunning/powerful ML but I would have liked a little more romance. I admit that I truly enjoyed this one. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! FL, the legitimate daughter of the Marquis, is tortured and killed by her husband (2ML) of three years and her younger female cousin (2FL). The two of them had been having an affair for years and even had a child, despite 2ML claiming to be impotent and not able to consummate the marriage. Now that FL has used most of her dowry supporting her scumbag husband, he no longer needs her so 2FL has a doctor steal FL’s face in order for her to take over her identity. Before FL dies, 2FL even tells her that they are in fact half-sisters since FL’s father had been having an affair with 2FL’ mother for years, ending in her killing FL’s mother in order for her to marry their father. And she even admits to having taken the identity as 2ML’s savior from FL. FL dies regretting trusting the wrong people. Luckily, FL is reborn on the day she got engaged to 2ML but also the day 2ML and 2FL started their affair during 2ML’s young, unmarried uncle’s (ML) funeral. I enjoyed this drama, but there were a few details that didn’t quite make sense. For example, at 1:17:28, when they discover the male lead is alive, the female lead says that in her past life, she didn’t know he had survived. However, at 1:49:02, the female lead tells the male lead that the princess plans to drug him, and a flashback from her past life shows her overhearing the princess's plot to drug him. If she didn’t know he was alive, how would she have known about this plan? It’s a contradiction that I feel could have been handled better. Additionally, I thought the main characters’ relationship development could have been more gradual. The male lead fell in love a bit too quickly for my liking, though that might just be my personal opinion. Despite these issues, I still found the drama enjoyable overall.
