After a tragic loss of my wife, i developed unimaginable fears in life, especially fear of losing,fear of getting close to someone and some other fears that i never thought existed, for 3 years and yesterday i heard this song for the first time and i played it again and again and at one point when i heard this phrase " For You are for us ,You are not against us" something happened to me, all my fears fell off me like chains that had a solid grip over my life. I AM FREE ---- JESUS HAS SET ME FREE.

This song has changed my life more ways then one. The first time I was listening to this song I wasn't even listening to the words. I remember walking in my backyard talking to God, about my fears and struggles such as the question of "what if they don't listen to me or if they don't like etc...". Then it hit the course of the song, and I just paused and then busted into tears. And it was like answer was given to me. A promise was fulfilled. I wasn't scared anymore. I love how God work through song like these. Oh and this song is still my hearts cry today
It is so hard to watch Amanda Cook talk about fear, when the image I have of her was her confidence and conviction in "I Will Exalt You" when she released her first album (she was still Amanda Falk). What an encouragement and inspiration to hear the amazing Bethel Worship leaders bring it home, and affirm that when the lights and cameras go off, they are also simply Christians trying to live and walk with the Lord, and they encounter and overcome the same issues and struggles we do as listeners! I am really proud of Amanda, I love the song, I love her spirit and I am also definitely going to review areas I thought I would never overcome in my own life. If she could do it, so can I.

This song has been making me brave for the past 2 months...my grandma is dying she won't be here longer. She's one of my favorite people and this song just gave me strength to be strong. Thanks Amanda. You've made this situation easier for me. As well as God.
I first heard her sing this at the Lovely conference. It gripped me, I was struggling with anxiety and fear and she blew the roof off singing this song. I love this song!!!!!!!!! And the story. Thank you, Amanda Cook for writing this song. May it and it's message continue to spread into the nations and hearts of the hurting all over the world! I saw Amanda in the mall in Redding the other week, I wanted to hug her but refrained so I just fan girled her instead. :)

What an anthem. This song really inspired me to step out of my comfort zone into where God wants me to be. Turns out this song was born out of a great struggle too. Another lesson: greater struggle yields greater testimony. Thank God and Amanda for this one!
One of the most powerful worship lyrics ever. Definitely one of my favorite worship songs. I had No idea she was so young wow, she looks like a teenager. Did she say she was 28? I love it how the Lord can use someone so young to be so mighty!

I love the music that God releases through the Bethel community. Everyone has been such a blessing to me! Especially Amanda Cook! When I listen to the music I have no doubt at all in my mind that you all are indeed friends of God. It's so evident that your music is an overflow of what takes place in your devotional lives. Your music shows YOU KNOW GOD. It's ministry unto the Lord, ministry for yourselves because through the songs God brings healing, wholeness, etc. and it's ministry unto others. I just read a comment about a man who lost his wife and dealt with fear and the anointing that produced this song destroyed the yoke of fear off that man.
This is VERY encouraging for me, as one who I know the Lord has marked as a psalmist/musician.
Thank you for all for being in a posture to receive such songs from the Lord.

Fear. I fear being in Gods presence FULLY! It feels so unnatural because it is SUPERNATURAL ! It is an awesome feeling but I fear because I don't deserve that ! I don't deserve for Him to be living and breathing inside of me and preparing away for me time after time after time but this song makes me BRAVE !!!!!!!!!!! It is such an anthem for my life . I have been ran by fear ! I am exhausted from fear ! But God you are making me Brave day by day ! I love you God !

Her lyrics are really inspired and inspiring. We can feel that each word touches an aspect of the life we are experiencing.I went through some emotional hurricane because of a realtioship a few years ago and the song "That's what you do" was very important.

i have depression and anixity desorder for 11 years because of cocaine abuse , well i was posses with 6 demons then pastor pray for me i dont know if they left me or not ,i take 2 difrent meds for it my depresiion and stress .,im so tired of it, i want to serve Jesus with all my heart now i strugle but i know God have a way out for me!!! He did not give me a spirit of fear but spirit of love power and sound mind!!!

Prácticamente lo que dijo (largo hecho corto) es que ella batallo con temor por casi 28 años.. Y luego empezó a escribir esta canción y al comenzar era como una profecía a ella misma.. Después de un tiempo que se empezó a liberar de ese temor, una amiga le dio un cuadro profético que era ella en la orilla del mar y corriendo hacia el, lista para recibir la presión, las olas, etc.. Así empezó a tomar forma la canción.. Al final dice que "la recompensa de decir si! es más grande que la de decir no".

to some one who is not familiar with the message of Bethel or Amanda Cook, the phrase - saying yes in the face of adversity is not very clear. Does any one know what that means? Saying yes to what or to the L-rd, that wasn't clear.

Instead of hiding in fear and resisting what He is desiring to do in us.
