You need to put about 10 Lbs of pressure on the chain upwards and downwards. You should also check your manual to see if you do the measuring while the bike is on the center stand or side stand. Since your bike is on a paddock stand, I'm guessing that you don't have a center stand and the manual will therefore likely tell you to do it with the bike on the side stand.

For my bike it says to just push up with a screwdriver , I find it very frustrating how vague it is , because it says this I feel like I haft to do exactly what that says and just push up but my chain looks slack when I do that I just can’t decide what’s best I want to rely on push down and up as that makes more sence but I’m OCD LOL

My slack setter was one of those Revzilla rewards cash-ins, so I didn't pay more than $10 for it, but it's actually a $30 tool. After watching several vids showing its function, I have come to the conclusion that there is no 100% consensus on HOW to use this thing. I like your video that you show how to sort of adapt it and to zero it. A simple ruler works great too, as does a piece of wood which one marks up for the measurement. But this tool has actually just become another dumb blue tool in my tool bag. It's just too many moving parts for what a simple ruler does. In fact, my sitting there with the tool, the instructions, and after several videos, I was just wtf? and learned to use a simple ruler. I wanted to like the tool, but it's stupid. The alignment checking tool however is very useful.

That's exactly what I did. There wasn't a lot of downward movement

$10?? Try $20 today. Why not just get a small piece of wood, like a pint stir stick, line it up like a tape measure then mark the lowest position and the highest when the chain is flexed. Remove the stick and measure. ??

I've used it on some other bikes such as a 2019 R3 the other night and it worked great. My swingarm just happens not to be the best shape for it.
