Great video! And extremely informative! I’m in a local metal band. So far we’ve only played a few bars who have very limited to no lighting. What would be the best option for a scenario like that? I’m still a bit confused.
Thanks! I appreciate that! I would probably just grab a few par cans to start with and go from there! You can basically never go wrong with cans and they will always be useful! You can move them and test to see what works for you too! For metal, I always love heavy backlighting with blinders! Especially if you can sync them to music! Just adds a bit of intensity! I would probably stick away from RGB and go warm white with some heavy uplighting! That’s a great rock look!
If I’m being super honest, I kept digging myself deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole lol I keep trying to search online but they use terminology that I just don’t quite understand. I came across the Chauvet GigBAR move with ILS and that just seems like a simple solution to a headache 😅 what are your opinions on it?
The GigBar Move is great! The PARS are a little underwhelming but as an all in one it’s pretty perfect! The ILS system is great for performers too! It keeps the controls really accessible!
@@GaryOnBass Thank you very much for your input! 💯 I was starting to get a little overwhelmed. I definitely think I’m going with the gigbar move and save myself the headache
They are a great option for low stress party lighting and if you need extra wash lighting then PARs are cheap anyway! The blinder is a million more times useful having control too!
@@GaryOnBass A nice way to check is using the fast forward function, or skipping through your video by 10 second increments and check to see if the subject you are talking about actually pops up some times. Very informative video however, subbed for now
What lights do you recommend? Let me know below!

You need more pictures of the product and not your face. You only show the product for a few seconds, then PoOF! 💨
Fair point! I’ll try to remember that on the next one! Thanks for the advice! 🙏
@@GaryOnBassnah I like watching your face while you’re talking about light this guys chatting shit

That makes a lot of sense; I have been keeping the pictures hanging a bit more in the new stuff! Cheers for the support; it's very much appreciated!
