What type of screws are used on the back in for the mount thread? I couldnt for the life of me recomend there OG lens because they used these tiny glasses size screws that over time would become lose and even fall out. Never had that problem with other cine lenses that use stronger screws or even bolts to keep the back mount in place.
@@Ansonandco My pleasure! They have a very good price, the maximum aperture plus is always very good for some situations (of course with high contrasts you will get aberration), otherwise you shoot at optimal apertures and they look great!!
Nice work! I really like the image from these and it's interesting to have them come out so soon to the Night Walkers - I've been struggling to decide which I'd recommend more. When stopped down they do seem plenty sharp - but I do have questions about their build quality as the 50mm they sent me was DOA (faulty aperture ring), hopefully it's just limited to the sample batch they sent out.
It is very interesting on timing. They originally were a week apart but they got delayed. I’ll be honest I personally prefer these over the NWs simply for the color matching, sharpness and CA control. And the build is WAY better IMO
Hello, I’m a photo hobbyist interested in getting into video. I shoot on an Olympus em5 III. Do you have any advice or fear recommendations for shooting videos on mft? Are there any relatively cheap cine lenses for mft in a range equivalent to 35mm, 50mm, 90mm+ focal lengths? Are there any other mft video people on here? I’d like you’re input if possible.
I think MFT is a great system for video. So many good options for MFT in both cameras and lenses. As far as lenses, I would say to check out 7artisans or the new sirui nightwalker cine lenses (I just posted a review on those). For other MFT creators, I would check out Caleb Hoover, Ryan Harris and anyone using lumix cameras, as they probably have at least a gh6 in rotation. I hope that helps!
I am actually applying noise in davinci resolve. Very fine and low strength. This is the grade I took the tip from ua-cam.com/video/hjsFWm-pWk4/v-deo.html
Hey Caleb, I have the old set for mft which is really good paired with any Panasonic or BMPCC4K. No need of cine lens for me but maybe the GH6...for the price and the braw 4K 120 fps over video assist I am tempted...
@@heroaomedia lol they basically ignored the comment I made to make an L mount version. But maybe I will try again before I send the set back These brands don’t understand that a lot of L mount shooters, both lumix and SIGMA people, shoot s35 a lot and so it’s probably overlooked due to ROI
@@heroaomedia so they do have a full frame 50mm, I’ve seen a lot of good things about it, I would hope they are going to add more to their full frame line up. So i would check that out
Unfortunately this is why blackmagic needs to adopt a mirrorless mount. It really limits their users (assuming you’re using blackmagic… sorry if you’re not)
@@aerozg really?! Yah a creator buddy of mine point blank asked that’s where it came from. I think they work with agencies and so I wonder if the agencies don’t know and we are all wrong lol

Been using their speed booster for 10 years. Solid
Well covered. I really like the image you were getting out of them, super cool.
Thanks! I was super into the image. I get to keep one of them and I’m excited to keep shooting with them
@@Ansonandco they offered me the same deal, but I passed on reviewing the lenses, kinda wish I didn’t now. Which are you going to keep?
@@markwiemels hands down the 35mm. Love the flare and 50mm on the xt3 is a sweet spot. Perfect set up for a budget rig for my day job
@@Ansonandcocool. Thanks. I’m going to see if they will send them out for me to review.
Footage looks really interesting. a mix between clean Fujinon cinema zooms and some Cooke vibes 😍
I’m REALLY digging the vibe from the image of these lenses for sure
Great review! Definitely like these lenses!
Thanks dude! I really do like the lenses as well 🤘🏻
Good work as always. I wonder if later they would make an EF Mount or PL Mount version🤔
They have a 50 PL, but no word on finishing the set. Hopefully soon
Good job, son. I love you- mom

I'm wondering how much of a full frame sensor each cover
Unfortunately I do not own a full frame camera for a mount they offer, so I cannot supply that info, but I would check in with some Sony creators

How is the focus breathing?
If I could summarize, not terrible but not great

How do you keep such nice fine noise after rendering? Can you point me towards a how-to video maybe? 🤓

@@Ansonandco bee using the filmconvert nitrate for noise but it always turns into a mush after rendering…guess keeping it really fine is the key🙄
Yeah sometimes it can get a little crazy. I always prefer subtle texture rather than in your face stuff. So it helps for sure
Only for APSC cameras? Wait, will this not work with my Sony a7cii full frame camera?
do these come in L-mount now? It's an option when buying directly but haven't seen any l-mount ones in the wild!
i'd prefer more usable mount options. As they stand, it's only small owner operators, but it would be nice to be able to use these on a set.

Dude that early 17mm was everyone’s go to. It was pretty amazing. I liked the set before and this set definitely didn’t disappoint as a mkii
Not bad at all! 👍🏾👍🏾 I think they would suit my style
I thought so😉
I know you said we shouldn't compare them to Night Walkers, but... Any chance we get a comparison video???
Unfortunately the NW lenses have been sold and this set has been sent back. So a little unlikely
looking great! But who thought 88mm was a good idea? :D
Yeah it was extremely hard to handhold those shots. Post stabilization saved my ass for sure
These make me want my H2S again!
Cause of those sweet fuji colors! Lol
@@Ansonandco these would be perfect to soften up that sweet 6k open gate!
No MFT, EF or PL mounts on this set.
Not for this set, but ZO does make a PL cine lens
Very annoying that lenses keep coming out without L mount... I actually like shooting in s35 on the S1H due to great RS.
Yeah I agree. I know sirui has eventually offered some of their s35 lenses to L mount. But Zhongyi has never offered their s35 lenses for L mount
