He said that Christian wasn't included because he had success in the WWE and that the purpose of this video was of people who "NEVER" had success in the WWE. Devil’s Advocate here but one could point out WWE’s, sometimes PUNISHING, traveling was a factor to that
      As one of their bigger stars he practically could NOT miss a show, be they house or RAW or Smackdown
      Many wrestlers point out they have rough patches on their health BECAUSE of this punishing schedule

    However. If you've only seen the WWE then of course you're going to have a built in bias towards them. Lest we forget, the WWE began as a forced melting pot of all the old territories Vince ran out of business. A ton of their Legends came from other companies. The 'My Spot' Promo and the betrayal the next week cement Hennig in WCW for me. The Road Warriors were better with Ellering and I watched them live in Pittsburgh with the NWA. Kerry and family feuded with the Freebirds. That is what sticks in my mind most for him. Martel was best in the AWA in my opinion. I remember Valentine best in Mid Atlantic. His stuff with Flair was great. Though the match with Savage was great, Steamboat's feud with Flair was the best set of matches ever imo. The title of the video says "more successful elsewhere". In TNA Angle held the one title arguably bigger than the WWE one, the IWGP WHC from New Japan, and in the process it was also something quite important for both TNA and NJPW since they were getting the physical title back from Brock Lesnar (who left NJPW, then joined Antonio Inoki's IGF with it).

    • @AscendedXSaiyan
      @AscendedXSaiyan 3 роки тому

      Kurt in TNA was not only having barn burners of matches on the regular, but he also held basically all the titles *AND* as someone else said, arguably the only title that can rival WWE's in term of prestige: The IWGP Championship.

    When Rude won big gold, it was the NWA Heavyweight title. Brief time it was the World Heavyweight title. Then it was the WCW Intercontinental World Heavyweight title. It was always recognized by WCW. Just because NWA stopped recognizing means nothing.

    Playing devils advocate here; couldn’t the argument be made that they were second tier stars, thus, being in a second tier organisation has it present as if they are HUGE stars. Like when Wayne Rooney played for…. That club he was at before Man U. I don’t know football

    • @arashitendou5941

      Well a point would be made all these guys got big pushes but because most where in during Hogan’s era where the man kept a iron grip on his belt and control on his booking none of them where getting even a match with him
      So they never got the big one because of that

    • @crossin8772
      @crossin8772 3 роки тому +1

      That's a fair point, but considering the fact that we see stars who leave wwe demonstrate new levels of skills outside of the company like say Bobby Lashley who in tna had a bad *ss aura he never had in his original wwe run its definitely hard to argue that it was just because he was a big fish in a small pond, especially now that he's wwe champion. But there are definitely cases where uou could argue that like with Jeff Jarrett. I think it varies from case to case.
