Handling An Up Rooted Tree

- Our small veteran owned tree service was hired to remove a large Tree Of Heaven that was uprooted in the customers back yard. We set up and employ the GRCS (Good Rigging Control System) to solve the puzzle and get the job done safely! I do my best to explain my thoughts of why I'm choosing to cut the tree in certain ways. If you are just starting a tree service, are an experienced contract climber or just generally interested in the industry I hope you find the dismantling of this funny tree entertaining.

Great job, buddy, definitely.
Thank you!
I love that kind of work
It's the best.
Awesome job brother
Thanks man!
Well first HI and happy new year! Wish nothing but the best for you and your crew in 24 !!! Second I don’t think that could have went any smoother. You probably could have made it more complicated with the GRCS but that was quick and easy ! Good job
Thank you for the kind words! Happy new years!
How would I have done it? Well, if I was a climber with your skills.... exactly the same! lol Nice work, from a non-climber with just a small amount of chainsaw training (ground-based cross cutting and felling small trees no bigger than 30cm dia) based in York, UK. I like your style, you get my subscription.
Haha thanks for the kind words! Happy to have earned it!
Your climbing set up, buddy. I never seen where the rope Wrench sets on the side. Is that something new tell me about please
The tether just has a single eye on both ends so it causes the wrench to sit on its side. No real benefit, it was the only tether the arborist stor had in stock. Lol
@@In-The-Trees I understand buddy thank you
If it helps, buddy, you could have left it on the GRCS and piece it off from the ground. That way, you aren't cutting on the ground at all if that helps god bless.
And now watching the video more, I don't think you're rope. Wrench was on the side might have been just the angle of the camera.
Also, why do guys use the straps when they lower stuff with a Caribbeaner ? Why not just tie the rope on? Wouldn't be a lot of extra hardware. I've never done that just curious why if there's a reason thank you buddy
There's a couple of reasons, the main one is on smaller limbs and branches webbing creates a better bite than a knot and beaner in my opinion.
