  • www.mormonchannel.org/video/mo... - As children of God, we are His greatest creation. ""Anyone who studies the workings of the human body has surely seen God moving in His majesty and power."" -Elder Russell M. Nelson
Anyone who studies the workings of the human body has surely seen God moving in His majesty and power. Each eye has an auto-focusing lens. Nerves and muscles control two eyes to make a single three-dimensional image. Each ear is connected to compact equipment designed to convert sound waves into audible tones. Your heart is an incredible pump. It has four delicate valves that open and close more than 100,000 times a day. Think of the body's defense system; it perceives pain, it generates antibodies. The body renews its own outdated cells and regulates the levels of its own vital ingredients. The many amazing attributes of your body attest to your own divine nature.
The Apostle Paul described it as, ""a temple of God."" How could this be? Because your body is the temple for your spirit, and how you use your body affects your spirit. God is the father of our spirits. We are part of His divine purpose. When He created us physically we were created in the image of God. Development of the spirit is of eternal consequence. When we truly know our divine nature, then we will control our appetites. We will focus our eyes on sights, our ears on sounds, and our minds on thoughts that are a credit to our physical creation as a temple of our Father in Heaven. For these physical gifts, thanks be to God.

As someone who has a bit of a broken body, it made me realize that I can still see, hear, talk, touch, experience, laugh, cry....It was a nice reminder to stop looking at what didn't work and thank God for the things that do.

This video makes me so happy. I've spent the past few years dedicating my life to researching science (micro and neurobiology), I never understood people who denied science on the basis of their religion. I wasn't raised religious, I found these videos through Shay Carl, I believe in being a good person and the LDS church is the first religious group that I've identified as having similar ideals. Family, kindness. Sadly, not a lot of churches live by their gospel.

I would like to tell a personal story.
My Dad said that when he was little, he used to go to this diner. Here also a rabbi attended. One thing the rabbi said was that you can see God manifest himself in nature, you can see God's handy work. I have to say that I agree!
I see science as away of understanding God's creation!
    Amen!

I have some physical disabilities, and I sometimes get too wrapped up with what my body can't do to appreciate what my body can do. Thank you for the sweet reminder!

If you'd like to read the entire talk (this video only has excerpts from the talk he gave at General Conference in April of 2012) then go to the LDS website. It's under General Conference April 2012. I'd post a link, but UA-cam does not allow URLs to be posted in comments.

Scientific facts and religion are always in line and complementary. It is only in incorrect scientific inference where they diverge. At that point, I always rely on the scriptures and prophets for truth. Evolution (not meaning man from ape - that is an incorrect inference) is simply evidence of the workings of God in action. Science understands nothing of the intelligence behind what has been termed "evolution", yet they all recognize that the intelligence of "nature" is absolutely amazing. I like to think of science as the study of "how", and religion as the study of "why" and the power and intelligence behind it all. Thanks Elder Nelson for your great example!

We . . . reflect like mirrors the glory of Jehovah.-2 Cor. 3:18.
In one way or another, all of us resemble our parents. Therefore, it is not surprising to hear someone say to a boy, ‘You are just like your father.’ A girl may be told, ‘You remind me of your mother.’ And children often imitate what they see in their parents. But what about us? Can we imitate our heavenly Father, Jehovah? Although we have not seen him, we can perceive his precious qualities by studying his Word, by observing his creation, and by meditating on the Scriptures and especially on the words and deeds of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. (John 1:18; Rom. 1:20) In practicing godly devotion, we should display the qualities of the One who made us. Anointed ones and their earthly companions reflect Jehovah’s glory in their life and ministry. (2 Cor. 4:1) Are you reflecting Jehovah’s glory by your godly conduct and by your activity as a regular Kingdom proclaimer?

Our bodies are so intricately made, and so precise in its functions, even an advanced robot itself is not as advanced as our bodies. Therefore, our bodies are more likely to be made by superior inteligence (God) than a robot is to be made by a human! This is so logical, nobody can deny it if they know what I'm talking about!

Evolution doesn't answer so many of life's important questions. Why is there good and evil on the planet if we simply just came from single celled organisms? Why is there love? There is so much more to life than what science tries to explain or explain away. There is a God. We have a divine purpose on Earth. We are here to show him we will choose him and his ways. There is right from wrong. If there was no God than life and love would be a meaningless and finite journey.

He has done a lot for me and I love knowing that when I feel sad I have someone to talk too! Through prayer! When I am happy I have someone to thank! And that is our Heavenly Father! May thanks be to God and his one and only Son Jesus Christ! We have a way to make it to the Kingdom and be with him forever! We gotta spread the good news, the Gospel! To everyone! Those who have ears let them hear. May God be with you and your family!

I sat in an optometrists office, and looked at a diagram on the wall. I had about 15 minutes before the good doctor came in. 15 minutes of constant reading, and I still wasn't halfway through the list of working parts of the eye. I asked the Doc when she came in, a non believer, how this was a possible evolution. She smiled and said, that it was simply not possible that the eye evolved.

Nice video but I kindda disagree. How do we measure the greatest creation? The easiest way is to see who/what creation is the most self sustainable and survive the longest. Thus, I believe, God’s greatest creation is planet earth 🌍. We (humans) need planet earth to survive… the planet doesn’t need us! Imo, we got 🥈in the “greatest creation” category which is still awesome!

Obviously, the sophomoric level of understanding evolution and science here ought to be most embarrassing. NOTHING in nature "just happens." ONLY modifications are accidental. Natural Selection is anything but "accidental." I know it's terrifying for religious folk to actually read biologists, but Richard Dawkins, "The Blind Watchmaker" and "Unweaving the Rainbow" and "The God Delusion" are really *excellent* at explaining the reality of HOW evolution works.
