My dad suffers from it, and all of us too. Its hard to watch him like that. For the rest of the family nothing has changed. We love him even more now, if thats possible. But for him everything is different. No matter what we say, he is the one who lives with it. God bless all of you who has it. You are heroes!
This was a very moving piece. My father passed away from Parkinson’s in 2010, and everything the old man was going through, my father was too. Brings back the reality of the severity of the disease and the power of kindness as the little girl helped him. We all have to show compassion for people suffering from Parkinson’s because Nobody would want to wish this on anyone.
@Markus Oraleus True. We never fully understand what it’s like until we get there ourselves. Then we can understand what it’s like to get to that point of life.
@@FashionHouse1017 My father had Parkinson’s disease and it was very hard to watch him go down hill and then lose everything to dementia as a result from Parkinson’s . He passed away in 2010 at eighty years old. Although bittersweet, I’m happy to see that he isn’t suffering anymore.
I just wanted to say thank you, this movie, I LIVED IT. My dad's paralyzed from the waist down and I know first hand to be taking care of my dad, and you know that parents are stubborn in their own way. But I realize that planting brought us together, and it gave him a purpose to carry on and it somehow brought healing to his soul....🤗😘
Such a heartwarming film. Little acts of kindness can make such a difference. My father in law has Parkinson’s. Walking is almost gone but a being taken on a drive through his old neighborhood brings him joy for days.
We were having one neighbour uncle with parkinson.. He never used to like if anyone helps him in his work... He used to struggle a lot to open the door's lock I used to stand their and used to ask him if he needs any help... He didn't like me asking him or anyone for that matter.. But I used to stand there till he gets it right... silently without saying or asking him about help.... His self respect was everything for him.. He also used to get upset with his family for the same reason.. He was a good person...
At a certain age, assuming that you live long enough, life begins taking things away. Your reality starts to become progressively more limited. You can do less and less, but life goes on, until it ends. "While you live, shine/ Have no sadness at all/ Life is short and time demands it's toll." Seikilos' Epitaph. This the oldest complete musical composition known to exist. I did not understand old age until I arrived there.
These animated film shorts are compressed masterpieces, like this one, a moving story of a grandfather and his grandaughter working together on a sailing ship model. The most affecting moment is when she gathers the pieces her grandfather, in his frustration, has scattered to the floor. She picks up a piece of his model ship but also the tiny model she'd made for herself. This part of the film is wonderful: She puts her small model aside to help him with his, and in that moment she demonstrates a generosity that is childlike and mature all at once. They have indeed built something together: a wonderful memory . . .
Thank you for illustrating this in such a simple meaningful way. My dad died of Parkinson’s and lost his ability to vocalize words about 18 months before he died. I will never forget how he spoke though his eyes,
OMG, this was one moving story, it reminded me of my dad and I. He was was always there for me and has I got older I was there for him, but he was stubborn in his own way and made my life difficult but I never stopped being there for him. Watching this movie made me think of my dad, and really brought tears to my eyes.... This short movie makes you feel like you're really there... You can only understand if you experienced it.... 😘😘
This is so beautiful...a gentle reminder for us to be more patient with people suffering from Parkinson’s disease. I can imagine their frustration after a lifetime of independence and strength. Thank you for this touching film 🙏🏼
Benjamin! The output is poignant. So thoughtful of you to make a film that includes and addresses age groups and conditions that are skipped in new media entertainment projects. 💛
It shows resting tremor, shuffling gait, bradykinesia ,pill rolling movement of hand, forward bend body when walking...but in this short film it shows intentional tremor which is not characteristics of perkinsonism but is cerebellar dysfunction.

I appreciate the kind and sweet humility of the grandfather, to gracefully accept her help and finishing the project.

It is VERY rough to watch a loved one suffer through this disease's progress . It's unimaginable to feel how they feel.
