    Quite amazing how it can take some of us over half a lifetime (or more) to learn something so basic yet exhilarating to accomplish. The lesson perfectly encapsulates the need to slowly sync both hands to the task before racing off into the usual distance while leaving the newly learnt knowledge to flounder into forgetfulness.
    Made sense to me... Cheers.

    This is the best channel of the genre!! 5 star classes and contrary to that fucking Rob Chapman that charges 40 quid for a fucking lesson to watch him shred, you give a nice insight to what your ebooks and videos are about. Well done dude!! Thanks for that! PS I already bought some of your ebooks, great stuff!! :D

      Thanks so much!! Yeah man so many internet teachers are out of touch with what people want and are willing/able to afford. It should be: Teaching is number one, and if you can make a little bit of money doing it then that's a bonus.

    Finally Someone shows and teaches current A tonal scale arpeggios instead of the freaking pentatonic scale. Bravo I'm subscribing and your theory is spot on, not some rocker BS. Great job as I am playing 48 years we still can learn more Thank You!

      Great Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Riddleagan Blossoming Solo Remedy (do a search on google)? It is a good one off product for mastering guitar scales without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my cousin after many years got amazing results with it.

    Hey Alfred!
    Big fan of yours here, more or less since about a month ago, I will make sure to get the ebook soon, you can never know enough sequences.
    Here's a topic that isn't talked about that much and maybe you can s(r)hed some light over: Guitar setups! I saw your introduction video and you mentioned you set up your guitars on your own. Many of us could certainly learn a thing or two about neck setups and changing strings on floating tremolos.
    Maybe you could charge more for that one since it would be harder to make a vid on the topic; trust me, us bedroom shredders would gladly pay for it!
    Anyways, thanks for everything you've posted so far, I have your album on constant replay!

    • @AlfredPotterGuitar
      @AlfredPotterGuitar  7 років тому +1

      Thanks for the truly wonderful comment! I would be hesitant to give a lesson on guitar setups. I have restored and made guitars over the years but I bet people would be quick to say that I'm setting things up slightly incorrectly or that my strings are too high/low buzzing etc.
      Thanks for listening to my album. I am so pleased. And yeah definitely check out the sequences ebook. It's my best seller by far and is my best product. So much content it's crazy. Be sure to like me on facebook!. I often post up content/licks/tabs/videos that don't appear here on youtube. Including bonus sequences ;)

      Alfred Potter Guitar Good! I've been playing for over a decade, and I can say for a fact that this kind of stuff is REALLY easy to overlook when playing. You just want to noodle, you know? Most want to play that Metallica riff or that Eric Johnson solo, but it's the THEORY and the modes/scales/sequences that really matter.

    • @AlfredPotterGuitar
      @AlfredPotterGuitar  7 років тому

      Yes so true. And it's in the modes/scales/sequences where the beauty of it all resides.

    • @preston5104
      @preston5104 7 років тому

      Alfred Potter Guitar Agreed. Without actually sitting down and having the discipline to learn these things, you may never learn to create artistically beautiful music. Sadly, for the last decade, I haven't had said discipline, but now I feel I do.

    I have been doing sequence of 4 notes for years and I don't agree with first example if he was trying to do what he said "ill go 4 notes and then start from the next note" if you do that you get the following:

    E 8 10 12 10 12
    So what am I missing?
