      MMA CustomKnives Thanks, couldnt agree more, karrimor are a good bit of kit, but I hear the sort of civi bit of karrimor has been bought out by sports direct so maybe some products might lose some quality. the SF/military kit though is in a separate company I think. a.t.b. vee

    I love this size pack myself. Yours is perfect for what your using it as. A thirty to thirty-five liter pack is ideal for overnighters or day rambles. You don't end up carrying a lot useless items you won't need. I like the military green even coming from an ex climbers background where color, bright color, can help find you if need arrizes. The pack seems endlessly versitile. Good choice.

    • @Wildsoul62
      @Wildsoul62  9 років тому

      rainbowhiker Thanks, so fat the pack is serving me well but have not done any more than hiking with it and bushcraft stuff. Will be getting into overnighters soon though. If i go the the hills in the past with a dark backpack I have a high visibility item in the pack which serves as a marker too for search and rescue if ever I were to need it. a.t.b. vee

    Nice! I went with the Rush 24 for day and Rush 72 for overnights, but I wish I'd have gone with something which has a fixed (not clam shell like the Rush) main compartment as it enables you to stuff things in there around flexible stuff like sleeping bags and clothes. I've seen it done and it's incredible how much stuff you can get into a fixed compartment when you stuff things in.

    • @Wildsoul62
      @Wildsoul62  9 років тому +1

      Average Joe Survival Hi there, you know I had many days of debating whether to go for the clam shell design of the 24 or 72 5:11 gear as love my rush 12, however for the very reasons you mentioned I opted for a top loader. I decided that with the molle I could still have 3 or four pouches on the outside which could hold my smaller kit, water filters etc , which would be readily available. thanks for watching a.t.b. vee

    Hi Vee, I have this bag too in black. Itsa a great sack for when the 5.11Rush 12 bag just is nt big enough and I have just done a coast to coast walk with mine over 8 days. I can defintely recommend the TMC CP30 hydration pouch for low profile side-pouches. They are just the right width and height for the SF Predator 30L and dont have to be used for water bladders..

    Good review. I was thinking of uploading one but was too lazy lol. I got my ruck sack without seeing any review coz there was none at that time, anyway i did really good buying one and no regrets after all. I use mine mostly for fishing, hiking and also as a travel bag. It is great multipurpose ruck sack. One practice suggestion, the side pocked is really practical for a water bottle and you can strap it with the buckle strap. It never dropped out and sits very tight. Saving you buying a bottle pocket :)

    Very nice Vee! Thanks for showing. Ive had the Sabre 30 for a few months and love it, so I can see why you'd be very happy with the Predator version! The 45 is next on my list, but whereas I was set on the Sabre, now I am not so certain looking at your Predator! jediknightofthewoods Hi there! I am going to be getting the karrimor 45 predator I think though I believe the hop belt might be slightly less padded than the sabre but will have to check it out. Oh lord decisions eh! I have the north face blue kazoo, got it in the sales a few years back. Its down, so does pack small but I also recently invested ( £22!) in a sea to summit medium 'event' compression sack. which is amazing, it has a one way air valve so you can literally squeeze anything down to tiny, wish I had bought it years ago now. hope this helps. a.t.b vee

    As always another great video Vee. I too love to combine hunting / fly fishing with camping. It gives me the complete outdoor experience which I find truly relaxing. I'm curious as to what rifle you're using to hunt rabbits with? Thanks for sharing a terrific video!!

    • @Wildsoul62
      @Wildsoul62  9 років тому

      Peter Stanhope Thanks Peter, yes, Fishing, hunting, walking and camping, there is nothing more to a perfect and relaxing life than that! I use a ruger .22 semi automatic with a moderator as my main rabbit gun but I have also been using a .17hmr ( in vid) which is a very neat lightweight rifle which has more punch but bullets ( polymer tipped) aren't subsonic so the noise can scare off the rabbits a bit. a.t.b. vee

      sean p Hi Sean, thanks, I went for the top loader instead of the 24 rush as I decided that I would get more in a top loader and with molle pouches attached I could get the modular feel which I like. also the rush 24 does not have a waist belt. Having done an 8 mile walk with my new pack and its waist belt I can def say the belt does help take th weight of the shoulders. a.t.b. vee

    I shoot near houses so always want to be quiet , No complaints yet but we live in strange days when people eat meat yet object to it being humanely obtained . Ever tempted by a Hushpower shotgun ? Deadly to 30 yards and just point n press . No zeroing . The .410 Baikal is what I shoot and it does not seem to clear the field of rabbits after a shot . Useful gun Vee .

    Hey Wildsoul62 , Very nice videos you have got. You just made yourself a new subscriber :) . I got here while researching on the karrimore backpack you are rewieving + your recent trip with funkyprepper. I own the karrimor 60-100 ltr backpack and I just love it . In fact so much I´m thinking of buying the 30ltr aswell mainly as an outdoor/bushcraft daypack . Im hoping you can help me with one question. Because it seems I cannot find the answer anywhere :( That waistbelt on it . Is it possible to take it off or hide it away ? Really hope you can help me. And my apologies for the bad grammer and possible spelling errors .
    Cheers from Denmark.

      +peanutpumpgun Hi there thanks for subscribing and appreciated. re the karrimor sf 30 ltr. waist belt. It cannot be taken off as sewn to the mainpack and there is no obvious way to pack it away in a pocket or sleeve on the pack. However, it is a lightweight waist belt and I have used mine a hell of a lot and have never found the waist belt anything other than useful. If the bag has little in it I let the waist belt just hang if I don't want to use it but most of the time `i do use it so not a problem. Hope this helps. a.t.b. vee

    Hi, please forgive my stupidity, Is that a air rifle or a firearm? Can you own a rifle/firearm in the UK.? I heard awhile back that they proposed a crack down on knives in the UK. too. I like a crossbow myself. They don't give away your position. I would like to buy one of the new air rifles they are building over there. They are some of the best in the world and less legal trouble here but, too expensive.

      +Slim Pickens Hi there, the rifle in the picture is a semi auto ruger .22 rimfire rifle. You can own a rifle in the UK but the license is not that easy to obtain. You have to show good reason to have a rifle ( vermin control) and have specific land to shoot on. You can buy an air rifle without a licence up to a certain power 12ft.lb anything more powerful and you have to obtain a full firearms licence. The UK laws are very strict and crossbows are as far as I know illegal for hunting purposes over here. Hope this helps. a.t.b. vee
