Golden Puppy Hurts His Leg And Goes to The Vets

- Colin was running for a ball and slightly over stretched his leg.We took him to the vet to be safe and after a few days of rest he's as good as new.

Aw, poor baby! But he's a trooper, he didn't even want to show he was a bit poorly.
I was a bit worried for Colin limping when he's walking. Good thing that it wasn't too bad after he was seen by the vet. Love seeing him back to his normal self enjoying roly poly in the grass with big brother baby Sterly.
No! He must be protected at all cots! We love Colly.

Jolly time is had even at the vets with enough treatos for your beautiful good boy!
I'm glad Colly is feeling better. Sterls had a little reprieve there.
We always worry for them when they are hurt. No matter what. They can't tell us what they are feeling. Thank goodness for our veterinarians! Good that it is nothing serious.
Oh if you're paying attention they definitely can tell us what they are feeling. Just got to know how to understand it.

Incredible Colin's behavior! He didin't want to leave the vet! He enjoys the vet and loves those ladies who work there! Colin is so famelic and "eats" your fingers with treats.Funny goofy boy. Colin is defenetely a forever puppy dog. In this video Colin seems a little kid going to the amusement park.

So thankful Colin's paw is healing and there was not a major injury. So glad he had a good trip to the Vet and he is back home recovering with Sterling and the whole family. What a relief. God bless you all.
It was just a strain. No real need to go to a vet over it. Just have to keep them off of it a few days as much as possible and given them a very small dose of ibuprofen. Just comes from experience with dogs. These things can happen ( just as with humans) and especially with larger dogs.

Oh my goodness what a good boy Colin! Oh Doris I’d do the same, mattress on the floor😂 how we love our wonderful 4 legged children! Those golden boys have the most wonderful nature, still wagging that tail through it all. Glad he’s on the mend my basset boy has done the same in the past, same treatment, yip and he loves the treatos too! 😂🏴🇬🇧

They (the breed) are the sweetest dogs ever. I see a lot of Golden Retrievers every day here in Stockholm 🇸🇪 and they always makes me happy. ❤
When I will retire (hopefully in less than two years) a Golden Retriever will be the first thing on my bucket list. I would like to have one today, but since I work full time (bus driver) and live alone, there’s is no way to have a dog now.
I can’t think of a better friend to share days with. I just love them.

The older and fatter of my two pests/ ridgebacks Sam jumped my fence to chase away a rather dim witted burglar who obviously couldn’t read because I’ve a few signs stating that I have Rhodesian ridgebacks but anyhoo he cut his front right paw and bare in mind this happened in may now when the neighbours come round for a yack and my home brew and every time they do he always puts on a severe limp un my soulmate ,( my wife), points out to him that it’s your other leg he stops but even through it all I love those two chancers equally. Please give them a treat each and thank you for making me smile. 🙏👍

It’s my first time to see a dog who doesn’t want to leave the vets lol our vet is near our place, so whenever i tried to walk my dog she will always stop and drag me to go back whenever we are near the vets even though she haven’t done her potty loo
Poor Colly.
My Golden Retriever grandpuppy had injured his leg when he was about 6 months old. It was his back right leg & not the front, but it really freaked me out. Part of the reason for that is because less than two months earlier, he had gotten very sick, like if I hadn't insisted on taking him to the vet on the 5th day, he would've almost certainly died. So anyway, I started looking up online to see what it might be, which is a terrible idea, for me anyway. I was like "Oh no, it's hip dysplasia, and my son is gonna have to put him down!". Turns out he probably just had a pulled muscle, and he was back to his normal, reckless self in less than three weeks. Actually, he was already back to being reckless in like a week, but he had lost the limp within three weeks.

I’m sorry he got hurt.
Same happened to my Akita one day, he saw a street dog and suddenly turned where he twisted his hind leg and he was hurting all day, eventually I had to take him to the vet with his muzzle on him, was given a dose of painkiller for one day. The pain went off.
I think maybe . . . perhaps . . . positively Colin was, as we sometimes say over here, "doggin' it", i.e., faking the injury, because he knew you'd take him to the vet and they'd give him doggo treatos . . .
Suddenly leg looks better after vet treats 🤔😉
Our retriever was such a drama queen at the Vets. Only Gravy bones got her thru the door.

My golden started faking a limp. Vet says it was probably mimicking my walking with my prosthetic leg.
She then reasoned that when she did it, she got all kinds of treats and pets out of sympathy, so she does it all the time now. ESPECIALLY when she has to do something she doesn’t want to do.😆
