Hello I'm getting issues with the saber mask part.
after deleting the masks and applying the effects it doesn't catch the logo form, just it does if I keep the masks.
Yeah, you need the masks to apply saber effect to, you don't need the keyframes of them though, that was the part I deleted I believe

How to change speed of the effect. I used a Tesseract efffect and its right as I need when it prerenders, as it is rendered it is to fast.. how to slow it down?
Expand Distortion settings, then play around with noise speed and wind speed until you get it right

Thanks, you have to follow the steps for your particular logo, because the project file has an example shown in the tutorial, to create a different logo you need to do it from scratch

Thanks for the great explanation. I downloaded the plugin, installed and applied it to a vector line and it comes with a black background. I have also tried it with text and still comes up with a black background. I'm not sure why. Can you help? Thank you.

I'm trying to mask only a part of my Logo for the Saber Effect, however when I try to delete the masks I don't need and later apply the saber effect and choose to put layer masks as the core type, it doesn't really work and only shows half of my logo. Kind of hard to explain really, hope to get help anyways. Tutorial is on point though, great job!
You mean saber is applied but the rest of the logo is not visible after?
@@SmertimbaGraphics I can apply saber but it only shows the default effect and not masking it. And only a small part of my logo is visible yeah

When I downloaded the plugin and ran it to install, I couldn't find it in my After Effects. I'm very new to it so I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong, any tips?
Try manually placing the plugin file into plugins folder, it bugs out sometimes

bro first of all thank you so much for the tutorial, but i have a question i dont want to make the neon goes back and forth i want it to go one shot so it doesnt make two thick layers of neon which does not make the name im creating clear, thanks in advance.

Yes, core size makes the lines thinner, if you don't want animation simply don't create keyframes and leave it as it is.

Since a while, every time I try to Auto-trace something, no matter if Text or Logo, the result is never clean. It has always wobbles or something. It ruins everything. I didn't change anything to the standard settings, and can not fin any help online. Does anyone know why it happens?
Play around with the auto trace settings while preview is on and see how the lines look, there's corner roundness or something like that you might need to tweak
How can I loop this animation so the two colours endlessly loop and go around the logo?
You can add loopout expression to the properties

You need to install it, its a free plugin
i want to slowly freeze the saber movement (so that is stays at the same place) at almost the end , how do i do that?
You could extend the work area after the last keyframe so the animation would continue with saber in one place if that is what you meant

How long is your timeline?

And the last keyframes at 4 seconds right? If so, open composition settings and set duration to a higher value, then extend the layers till the end, don't move the keyframes though

@Somewonlose text is even easier. Add a text layer, then in saber settings set it to text layer instead of masks

Either add a project with a logo to another project and put it above or render as transparent quicktime(.mov)
