I love this boat! Sit down fishing, and all this space and elbow room...wow! This is how recreation fishing should be...easy and relaxed. Note the roof over head...no sun burn...wow! Fresh ice for your coolers...wow! What service! Are you captains taking notes? Do you know what they call Southern California's sports fishing boats? Cattle boats...enough said.
Props to the guys jigging on the bow.. Nice AJ.. Don't really care for using electrics on the troll, but I'm not gonna judge. I only use them for deep dropping (200-400 meters), I hope the small Mahi were released and what did you do with the Cudas? Eat them or sell to the boat? I know most westerners don't care for Cuda meat. Looks like a good time though! Although I wouldn't have kept everything that was seen in the video, I understand how things are in Asia. Not much gets released.
I know it's fun to go fishing but have a little clue. Why would you kill everything you catch? What do you do with the barracudas? Hopefully you eat them and get ciguatera. Sorry, but a lot of those fish were pointless to keep.
Bryan Le My reply would be too long. Read the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy five book trilogy " The restaurant at the end of the universe" There is an interesting interaction between a cow and the patrons of the restaurant.
the charters only hav em so ppl dont get tired of reeling in a2lb weight after each bite, or caught fish. :/ sucks but its only for deep sea and if the current is too strong and need the bait to hit the bottom quick... :)
oh and 21cute italian there not eletric lines they woud kill them slfs and those bxes were only eletric reels so they dont pull the fish to fast or to slow
A large electric reel for these fish...There are appropriate circumstances for an electric reel, but in this case, it just takes away the fun and game. It was still a decent trip though.
why would you gaff the fish after reeling it in electrically? and then take a photo of it? that's like taking a photo of an some famous art sculpture with you next to it and saying, "this took ages to build" when it's obviously someone else's work. and in this case, the reel is someone else's work.
my family goes out everyweeknd hell im at the dock right now in emerald isle about to head out lol, people go catch a 300id tuna or a 200 sail or maybe even my best catch ever a 832 Blue Marlin
When I was a child, I fished because I was ignorant, and for many years I turned the other way and wouldn't admit the truth. But the real truth is that catching something by hooking them through their face is wrong. Just because it's a creature of less intelligence, that doesn't mean it right to hurt them. I would never go fishing now. I can't standing hurting anything and will not do it unless it is trying to hurt me!
if you're doing this in 2016, you'll encounter: U.S. Aircraft Carrier, US missile destroyer, PRC Border Control, ROC Border Control, Chinese missile destroyer, B-52 bomber, Chinese Su-35 fighter, and finally you'll be imprisoned by the Vietnamese government because of "illegally entering Viet-nam territory, illegal fishing."
As long as everyone had fun and a good break from real life :) Thanks for showing real-life filming. Seems very reality TV :)

Ive been on charters, but to go on one somewhere like that would be a cool experience.
nice fish near oil platform eh?
That night fishing looked like the best.
2:22...CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN...how in the world did somebody build something like that in thw middle of the ocean??????
Man that looks fun, I went on a deep sea fishing charter in Maui and only caught one female mahi mahi and a rainbow runner

Wow, a dorado on their first catch. I wasnt expecting that. But great to see the different species.
Tiny yellowfin and chicken dolphin? Is that all thats left of that fishery?
Great show thank you.
looks like a great fishing. Where did you departure from (port)?
Robson green has used an electric reel before, he is an amazing fisherman.
En que pais fue esa faena?.
I bet there is a "scary-big" grouper hanging out on one of those rigs
Thats a Mahi Mahi or Dorado. yea, it was pretty rough wasn't it?
did they release them in the end?
You just know it's going to be a good trip when you're fishing off an oil rig. Nice. Andysfishing
***** why is that though?
+Tery Gaines in an open ocean with nothing, a dirty big oil rig attracts everything from plankton to Monster Sharks.
Safe haven for little fish and lots of big fish want the little fish.
question is: do the worker at the oil rig does any fishing when they're off?
catch and release?
Catch and eat.:)
You can see the oil in the water at 3:57, that's not good !
lifeisgreatBsexy That's oil from the chum. They use ground-up oily fish to create what is called a chum slick. The scent & taste attracts gamefish.
fake
The fish just after the Mahi Mahi, is that Barracuda?
And normally how much cost you for a trip like this?
Nice haul!
How much cost for that full day fishing?
What is that yellow fish at 5:33?? It's freaky.
How much does it cost mate?
what kind of fish is the yellow one at 5.00 min?
I think they are called durado, or mahi mahi
dolphin, dorado, and mahi mahi are all names for it very tasty fish
that malampaya location?
aren't barracuda poisonous?
like the diversity of fish
This all in hongkong? How many miles offshore?
what is fish?
I like this video so much!

That dude with the auto reel, why are you fishing?

Looks awesome!
how much is the fishing rod
can you eat thoose yellow fishes? whats their name?
im waiting to see the big fish did i miss something
I know it's fun to go fishing but have a little clue. Why would you kill everything you catch? What do you do with the barracudas? Hopefully you eat them and get ciguatera. Sorry, but a lot of those fish were pointless to keep.
Try fishing in 400m of depth and reeling a massive fish in! You would almost need a electric reel.
Where is the china sea?
Where and How to Contact this Ship?
whats the fun of fishing if you can't experience the bite or reeling in the fish
You guys could treat the fish with a little more respect once caught...
It's China dude. They eat man's best friend? I'm surprised they don't call the fish's family and make them listen to it being filleted.

When you eat a hamburger do you say a prayer to the dead cow?

I thought by this time the oil rig was destroyed due to the oil spill that happend 2 years back
Nice fishing!
I like the setup on the boat, the fishing was ok except the electric reel part.
wdf are you doing

Yes, unfortunately!
6:02 THATS AN ODD LOOKING FISH? WHAT IS IT?

electric reels ( what is the world coming too ) 😒
I kno right
lol yaaa right... strong arms are necessary.. not electric reels. i've fished in 1500 feet of water as a 12 year old and got it done.
Sorry to tell you, but times have changed. We're more technologically advanced now.
awesome trip!
look that was my grand dad in the blue t shirt and that's not china its Hongkong
Shut the fuck up!!
well piss off
hongkong is in china you tard
no not at all, a few people know this but hong kong is a different state, china is still communistic, hong kong isn't its the same deal as with macau
Its like our dorado (mahimahi) fishing in Cuba - check it!
damn that freeboard is high, difficult to pick the fish up.
I hope you know these are natural gas rigs oil rigs are bigger many people will mistake that
0:13 that cough tho
The only thing I find silly is people's obsession in this video of getting a picture with the rod or bait in the picture with the fish lol.
what if he has a problem and cant reel like normal people, or pains.
oh ya and i bet your a real fisherman
oh and 21cute italian there not eletric lines they woud kill them slfs and those bxes were only eletric reels so they dont pull the fish to fast or to slow

thanx for the reply

Laipsnis does not realize oil naturally seeps into the ocean from the ocean floor.

we dont have it in south Italy xD
This is not real fishing. People are too lazy too even reel in now... What next?
my family goes out everyweeknd hell im at the dock right now in emerald isle about to head out lol, people go catch a 300id tuna or a 200 sail or maybe even my best catch ever a 832 Blue Marlin
but reeling it in is the fun part :(
make a vid n show us how its done...
SauWze
Why do I have to when there are plenty out there at the moment.
oh aite then
nice fishing
In water over 200 feet it is.

Awesome
There's thousands feet of line that is why they need the electric reel
wtf? I've never seen an electric reel in any party boat i've been in. Eventhough they're catching 140lb yellowfins.
check out bull shark caught in sydney
That looks fun,
I went deep sea fishing yesterday and I got a king fish, 3 feet
looks like a Chinese version of Dolphin (mahi mahi) but you're right it's freaky...
if you're doing this in 2016, you'll encounter: U.S. Aircraft Carrier, US missile destroyer, PRC Border Control, ROC Border Control, Chinese missile destroyer, B-52 bomber, Chinese Su-35 fighter, and finally you'll be imprisoned by the Vietnamese government because of "illegally entering Viet-nam territory, illegal fishing."
@its Tavo its a dolphin fish also known as a mahi mahi

TOOOOOO many people on that boat!
Very cool.
So..good idea..
@mr931126 Named either, Mahi Mahi, Dorado, or Dolphin. Yes they are eatable.
Nice san miguel beer!!!
