For you people saying that this is stupid because they are throwing the fish back. Sometimes it isn't about catching tons of fish just to eat them. Sometimes it is about beating the fish at the fight and then throwing it back so you can or someone else can have a chance to fight that fish again.
Ppl think that fish can't get healed back and can't eat anymore and they think that the fish will die. But if u let fish go it will get healed quickly and it will can eat again
They are actually inedible, due to ciguatera toxin, but catch and release is the future for most sport fishing destinations, it brings in more money than killing fish does, especially in some poorer nations, where the fishermen get paid next to nothing
-Yo bro do you even gym bro? -Yah man the ocean is my gym.. -How many pounds do you lift bro? -I lift Giant Trevallies, a little something you can't handle...
I was rooting for the skinny Crok-wearing French guy the whole time...because he reels left-handed like normal human beings, Well I was rooting for you too Winga, you brought us this awesome video. 10 years later, you're still one of the best fishermen on YT...and the soundtracks of your videos is perfect.
Good to see that you practice catch & release. These big fish are essential for the reef and it also gives another fisherman the opportunity :-) Great vid.
well i don't like after catching fish and throwing back in water, you think you being kind to it, well let me tell you this, since fish cant scream and shout its pain once it got hook stuck in its mouth, you are breaking its jaws and some of its teeth's, before it gets recovered it will die in pain, morons
Saudh Rasheed Please provide some sources which explains the broken jaws, the nerves in the fish mouth and how the fish that has been returned dies. Because what you've said is simple not true at all, there has been major studies done on this. Catch and release is really important to maintain, especially among bigger specimens. The fish does survive overwhelmingly much, provided you handle it the right way once above water.
Catch-&-release respect you guys very much. Amazing video , professional sports fishermen. Freshwater salmon fishermen from Vancouver B.C. CANADA. Good luck every time to you guys !
Amazing how these guys put New Cal on the map! One of the only equivalent charter operations running in 2020 is Powercat Charters. If you are after a solo outing with a great guide contact Blue Caledonie Fishing. Cheers
Great show guys. I used to live in Hawaii and fished for these fish more than I care to admit. I stopped counting after I reached 100 fish. Brought bake great memories watching you guys pound some "big heads"
Those Ignobilis fights like HELL hey... I hooked one onshore of about approx say between 3-4kg on ultra light spin tackle, and I struggled my ass off to get that baby just to turn hey fortunately I was properly rigged for that, 15lbs test of around 150m nanofil with an 8-10lbs fluoro leader on a SHIMANO SIENNA 1000FE + fast-tach clip on with a 1/4.OZ jighead , so it could run.all over - fortunately it was from the surf with minimum structures around otherwise I'd probably saw my ass coz them GT's are bloody dirty fighters ... the fish was released safe n.dound just for the record!... nice video, please send more!
FANTASTIC! I love sportsfishing and life on the gulf in Florida so I've cought my fair share. My friend Hal is about 6 foot 7 and the grouper he got came up all the way to his waist. That is one of my favorite pictures ever! When I go it's with a group of about 5-8 on the average and cought some nice varieties myself but of all of them I've caught I find amber jacks to put up the best fight. I may not look strong (I'm 5 foot 71/2 and weigh 112lbs but I'm as hard as a rock and can bring those in.
3/0 trebles, 80# fluoro leaders? Talk about awesome footage in every way possible! It's great to see that these giants got released to live for another day.
awesome fish!!! I really have a Great respect with this GTs... they are fast, strong and especially, fearless fish! Love your vid.. how long did they battle anyway?
Parabéns pela captura dos exemplares. Sempre tive o sonho de pegar peixes com este tamanho. Ótima equipe de pesca. O programa ja tem mais um fã. Abraço do Brasil
You should contact the media director from "Hunt for Big Fish" TV show on ESPN2 Larry Dalberg has a fish fighting harness the combines your back and legs together. This harness take much less energy to fight those big GT's. Nice video by the way.
Hi guys awesome fish i was wondering if a daiwa monster mesh max 832 popper rod and a 18000 size reel would be good for that sort of tough fishing. Im planning on big kingies tuna and sharks on it
Really funny to see all the comments of the ignorent fools who are so shocked to see that these fish are being thrown back. I'm going on a fishing trip to Cuba in two weeks. I have spend more than 10.000 us dollar for this trip and i'm going t throw everything back in the sea, even the delicious ones. Later this year i'm going on a trip to catch bluefin tuna. After we make a picture we put the back into the sea. The best thing is, after the fishing trip we go to a restaurant and order some nice fish to eat.
Thanks for putting it back.

Letting him go made me super happy! Thank you!!!
2:20 looks like he's pumping so hard that he could easily pull a hook. I always try to maintain constant pressure when fishing tuna
