I'd say "regular guy in a suit" is a pretty good impression compared to how a corporate executive could be usually seen as.

Can't believe he would list "apps from Sony" and "connectivity to our network services" as two of the top 5 selling points along with the screen, camera and water-resistance.
Before, I only saw the memes of him and thought he was a corrupt CEO, but after hearing him here, you must be right now that I see his reign started just last year and their E3 conference was fucking phenomenal- the best conference by far that I ever watched.
Kaz is the man to change Sony and he has done a great job so far.
So much has changed in 5 years. 5.5"+ is the new normal phone display size. Sony should have kept the Xperia Z name.
kaz was educated in an american school in japan and spent a lot off give travelling the usa on business trips with his dad has a young lad

That guy makes over 100 million dollars a year. Still only about a quarter of Tim Cook's salary (I included Kaz's Bonus with his base salary, but I think Tim Cook may just be the base salary).

That won't be until 2016, and by then 4K TV's will still be fairly expensive, about $3,000 - 5,000
It won't be until 2020 when msot people are gonna be able to fully adapt 4K televisons just like how most people didn't get HDTV's until 2010-2011.

I agree with you on most of the part, but I think his interview can make up for those small issues.
I think people in high positions should at least wear suitable clothes for important occasions. It also shows that they respect other executives etc.
Even if every person has the freedom to wear whatever, don't be another Mark Zuckerberg. (in the clothing area)

He's done a real bangup job with the Vita.. Which btw is being absolutely trounsed by the competition. It's barely alive in the states and in Japan it's worse than 2 to 1 sales vs the 3DS. Saying that the PS3 has life in it still is sorta rhetorical because the installed user base is high, but it took 6 years. Since his rise to control the Sony brandname in his homeland has become a literal joke. I've had to have my ps3 fixed 3 times by sony, and I treat it like gold. My Vita is gathering dust.

Sony are the #1 company in the world. Great prouducts like the famous Walkman, bravia tvs, smartphones, cameras etc. Services are fantastic all the time. Obviously thae makers of the best gaming and entertainment platform in the world PlayStation. Great and respectful men like Kazou Hirai, Jack Tretton, Sir Howard Stringer and please Howard dont retire we all love you. Also, one of the biggest men in the muisc industry works for Sony and that man is Simon Cowell. :) So in conclusion Sonys better
Nothing personal but on a friendly note the editor in chief of engadget should be wearing a better at least ironed suit at CES and that also while interviewing this guy. Somehow in US fashion sense in general population is non existent.

he went to an international school in Japan, which means he had a full english education. At lot of international school kids in Asia have english has their mother tongue as opposed to their native language :)
