An interesting journey to get a CDL dear, happy it went well for you, I had a different route tho 🌝, through Stray Admin. made my story easy cause I reached out for assistance and got myself a Commercial license… I only typed Stray Administration on the search icon of this platform to access his UA-cam Channel.

YEP,I had to follow you over here,I would hate to drive a big rig with all of this traffic,me and a coworker was talking about it,I heard about SWIFT a few times.
I try to go where traffic is light and let the smaller dump truck drivers handle the city driving
In Georgia, you can apply for the hope grant. It covered all except $400 that I had to pay out of pocket. I went through an 8 week course at the technical college.

CDL prep + app is a good study guide with practice tests. Most states have their CDL manual online. Good informative video Dan! Glad you got a new tranny, just grind 'em till you find 'em.

That blind swath is huge around the hood. Grandma in the crosswalk would have to be remembered as she won't be seen.
Sometimes while sitting at a red light in traffic, a car in the right lane will try to squeeze in front of me. When that happens, they don’t realize we cannot see them. Only sometimes if it’s a tall enough vehicle. We always have to keep our head on a swivel and hesitate when the light turns green to give everybody a chance to get the hell out of the way.

Federal law now states you have to go through a school or some type of a driving program in order to go from a B to an A
You can get a government loan for truck driving school too and pay it back after you find a job and learn on a stick! Not on a automatic... You'll be limited to that on your license
Yes. The school will usually assist with that. That is how I did my school back in the day.
Here in Western Canada its 12,000 dollars and couple months in a driving school to get Class 1 (A) license. Its a government mandated driver training program.

If you need to take out a loan for 2 grand to pay for trucking school you have much bigger issues. Student loans typically refer to tens of thousands of dollars for a 4 year degree.

You know it was the insurance companies pushed for that schooling , people were getting more and more reckless with trucks , just like that dumb guy that killed them people and got like life then another judge gave him a little over 10 yrs times have changed since the old skool way and using your head , people today don’t look at trucking as a career , they drive till they screw up them

$2,000 to $4,000? Maybe for a Class B CDL, Class A is more like $7,000 to $10,000. Congress helping out their buddies in the college business, while us little guys get bent over once again.
