Andrew, Please take a bite out of a veggie/fruit with sunscald. People need to know that the majority of the fruit is still just fine to eat/cook/make meals with!
True but you know how picky consumers are. Some Karen will complain that it's "rotten" & call the USDA.
A sharp knife will fix that. If you grew it, you’d learn to fix it.
It's like catfaced and split tomatoes... Looks bad but the flavor is there and great to make sauce with!
Mabe sell them cheaper as seconds?
I open one up in a video coming out soon
Y’all need to take some water pistols out to harvest veggies. Make Grandpa think it’s about to rain. Maybe on a cloudy day. Lol. Then again…He might think it was a crow that couldn’t hold it.
I loved hearing Grandpa refer to the rain as “silver dollars from Heaven!” That shot of all the produce harvested was beautiful and I love the sound of green peppers as they’re picked💜💜💜!
Good morning from Australia ! Love watching your beautiful family harvesting the incredible produce on your farms :) 🌽 🥒 🌶
Hello from Pennsylvania. I'm not a Veggie Boy, just a loyal viewer. I hope your winter is going well. Have a great day! 😃👋
Always love a fresh new harvest video from the Veggie Boys!
Hey people! Spread the word about the Veggie Boys! We need to get their numbers up! Tell them how much you enjoy these guys! I always look forward to a new episode 🌽
I do. Honest

I have, even mentioned them on my website. Every little bit helps, right?
Surprises me you don't take time off go to Knoebles
The lovely sound of harvesting ❤️💕💕 It never gets old 😁😁😁. Callie riding her chariot of corn 😍😍 adorable!!! Love from the UK x
Watching everyone pick cuecumbers, and it makes me smile at the playful bantering, I hope everyone has a good day today
@Gloria Lewis, you have a good day too, thank you!
Lots of banter
Grandpa was introduced twice today👌👌🙌🙌🙌
I would love to know what type of fertilizer and pest deterrents you use. Your vegetables are beautiful
Andrew, great video. Like how the bee got a cameo by landing on the lense of the camera. Grandpa needs to have more energy more often.
Lol it made me laugh
@@theveggieboys Me too!
Nothing like the sound of snapping peppers while bring picked!
You guys are so much fun to watch 🙂. Love how you all work as a team. Always looking forward to your videos, . Thanks again for the nice content. Very inspiring.
That rain looked so nice...wish we could get a little bit of that at my home. Lovely crops that you've been harvesting...still love to hear the snap of a pepper being picked!
I loved that we got, "I'm Grampa.", twice! I love watching you guys all work together. It brings back such fond memories of working at a local farm in the summertime, when I was a kid. And, that was almost 60 years ago! Thank you, all!
THANK YOU ,AND IT'S RAINING HERE.
EAST TENNESSEE 🇺🇸
God bless the Beautiful bounty of vegetables! I always look forward to your videos & the positive way you all run your farm & take good care of each other! Love it! Good job! 🙂
Future Video Question: I love Ripe Red Bell, Jalapeno, ... Peppers, vs Green unripened peppers. Letting them Ripen on the vine takes longer. How much longer does it take for the various peppers, and does it reduce the yield of each plant. BTW, I love your video today, you answered one of my questions I've been wondering about for some time. Fifty, One Hundred, ... and some extras to boot/
Oh the snap of the veggies from the plant is so satisfying...
"Silver dollars from Heaven"........Grandpa knows where his Blessings come from.
I don’t know what it is, but I love watching you all pick wonderful veggies.
I am watching u guys since last year.. and always enjoy the most when u guys picking veggie..
"Blossom end rot" is caused by a lack of calcium in the fruit, but more offen it is: Drought stress, too much or too little water, plant/root damage, to high concentrations of NH4+,K+ or Mg++ (fertiliser).
Peach pie 🤗yummy yummy in my tummy, my Grandma used to make peach cobbler when she was alive…that was my favourite pudding.
Please say hi to all the veggie girls and boys and thanks for being amazing.
Stay safe stay well x
I was wrong on the sweet banana vs hot pepper! Absolutely beautiful vegetables in the field. I could learn a lesson in growing veggies as my plants never are loaded like yours. Your minerals and fertilizers are just right! Glad you all got ice pops! Ah, rain👏 I'm in Northern California☹️ Your Callie girl just gets cuter and cuter😘 Grandma Kim❤️
My favorite harvest is the bell peppers I just love the sound they make 😊
I've been fighting blossom end rot this year. I remedied it with powdered milk. Cheap but effective method.
All I know is at the supermarket I paid 75 cents per cucumber for the plain slicing type cukes. That was in NW Arizona yesterday. My home veggie garden is very young but I do have 4 cucumber plants growing (desert is usually very hot and dry but our Monsoon rains have been extra and it is much cooler this month so far - good for the veggies).
Did you think 75cents was a good price or high?
That’s neat to hear!
@@beckypetersen2680 I purchased one cucumber at that price. I think around 50 Cents is more of a regular price but inflation is raging so maybe the supermarket which is a regional Western States chain and established in AZ a long time, has to charge that price.
That’s some lovely corn. I use to grow it in my garden but got tired of dealing with the electric fencing for the raccoons. Now I buy it from local farmers like you! I’m happy with that and so are the farmers.
2x grandpa! Best intro ever
Yesss
PRAISE GOD FOR THE FARMERS! And now, 'I'm' heading to the kitchen for a fresh salad using the bounties of ...yup...the FARMERS! Yaaah! : )
Awesome! Beautiful harvest! yall have soil testing done per veg type/season? Or a general test per field? Or even test at all? Reason for asking is I've inherited a small field an intend on planting.
Yes, a short time lapse, cool! Enjoy watching you try different things when editing Andrew!
I love how your family does so much together. My wife’s side of the family all farm and I love when we go visit because it’s the same way. Glad you all are getting rain! Thanks as always for taking the time and energy to share!!
They do that for the $$$ Trust me, ask anyone! I do the same thing lol
Man,, I Ill tell ya what, thanks to you all we grew some Montauk sweetcorn and last night I got to try some for the first time ever,, and wow! so delicious, I always appreciate it when you mention the kind of corn-vegs . My family used to grow butter and sugar sweetcorn and the Montauk is just so delicious .... Thanks for the great videos
Glad you enjoyed
That's the sound I've been waiting for all season - bell pepper pickin' . What a fresh hollow sound. Love it! Love the channel.
Those truckloads look absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing your hard work with us - it's really paying off.
Andrew. What are the yellow things on the green tin roof of the farm market?
Closer to the gutter area. Thank you. Great job 👍
@@timdisbro6838 👍👍
It dams snow and ice so they don’t break the gutters
@@theveggieboys OH!! Cool. Thank you. Just wondering because we never see those here in Georgia. It's to 🔥 HOT. LOL
Great job and thanks for sharing
I always figured they were called hot cherry peppers because they were supposed to be red. Why not wait for them? BTW as a teacher, it's my duty to tell you that it is called sun scald (rhymes with bald) and not scold. 😉😉😉
Hey Andrew, when you drive over the corn stalks while harvesting, do the stalks stand back up or are those the ones you won't be harvesting again?
Aha - I just asked that question as I've seen it now in a couple of videos and wondered the same thing.
When corn is picked the stalks are done for corn but will be used as live stock feed
Nice to hear you did well at the auction with your cucumbers. That sweet corn crop is amazing too. So happy all your hard work is paying off.
I love watching you boys your sense of humour is great you all work so hard good luck
Callie the Queen of the veggie people riding in her chariot 😉 she’s the fairest of them all ❤️🙏
I’m glad the Auction went well an and you where happy with price you received 😀🇦🇺
"Silver dollars from heaven " love that! Thank you for sharing and teaching so much. I'm from Australia and enjoy watching every episode 😍
I agree- that was a great harvest. Glad you beat the rain!! Hope your date night was relaxing with your cousin. See you next time around. God bless your whole family from grandma Katie in Oregon
I think it’s a good year for hot peppers. My cherry bomb plants and my sweet banana plants are so full that they bend over. Anaheim, Cayenne, Carolina reaper, habanero and jalapeños are full too but not as much as the other two varieties.. my zucchini didn’t work out unfortunately. Radishes got eaten by slugs .. well there is always a next year right?
Great video! Love the sound of picking peppers..
Great video! We look so forward to every video! Callie is so cute and what a sweet personality. Keep up the great job you all do!
Row cam footage is awesome, it's like having a bug's eye view! 😁👍🏼
I really enjoy watching the videos, it's got to be a very peaceful life to live, even though it's hard work. 🙂
To prevent blossom end rot I plant one Tums tablet in the hole with the transplant. They contain calcium and I never have blossom end rot.
Seriously, I love the sounds of picking veggies.
Good morning everyone. Love the sounds of farm and family life.
Watching you pick the green peppers gives me the yen for stuffed peppers. Yummy!
Grandpa x 2 and the funkle. 😊❤️. Awesome opening. Love all that the Ochs family does to help our economy with home grown veggies!!
I remember picking for my grandpa on his farm here in South Carolina. He would always tell me I was the best rock picker in the county.
So, if you have 'Blossom End Rot' either YOU'RE causing a calcium deficiency by IMPROPER watering OR (if you know you're watering sufficiently) your SOIL is actually deficient in Calcium, right?
Yes that's correct
Correct
@@theveggieboys Thank you.
I just love watching you guys work. It makes me need a nap. 🙂 if I could I would be right there with you
Acts 14:17
17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”
Hosea 10:12
12 Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.
I've never seen pepper plants so fully loaded like that. Thanks to watching you plant and harvest, I've made a list of new peppers I want to plant next year. I need to figure something out for my corn. Earwigs keep eating it. Almost every ear I check has damage from them. Need to find an organic way to prevent them next year. Another great video.
Maybe try wrapping them in tulle? From the Robbie and Gary Gardening Easy channel
@@yuppers1 it might look a bit odd, but worth the try if it will work.
Goodmorning Veggie boys and Girls!
The Intro never gets old. I always say "and girls" out loud and my kids roll their eyes at me. Been here since 6k. Love you guys.
Beautiful greenpeppers. Love tgem
Ah yes! The popping of the pepper picking! I love it! 🫑
Tell that rain to head west to California.
I wish I could
awesome harvest so happy your veggies are doing so good
Love watching you all harvest your vegetables. So enjoyable listening to all of you talk back and forth and laugh
No way I would make it past that peach pie way to go grammy
Gavin seems a reluctant farmer! He's cute though!!😁🇨🇦😀😀
I’m glad you’re having a great harvest! I was wondering if you and your family donate any to shelters or churches for the needy.
I planted 116 seeds in March, and transplanted about 100 plants into pots. Later, transplanted seedlings, outside for growing. t this point, with the PAINFUL, BRUTAL HEAT, I believe I have about 30 or so plants. WIHT Watering 2 times day. And the San Marzano type are the ones that got hit with Blossom End Rot. Maybe the cherry type, and larger fullsized, lucked out? or simply had JUST enough water, to help Calcium Uptake.
I remember the 1st time watching y'all pick bell peppers, I wondered how you could even see them, cause they totally blended into the leaves for me. Now, I can see them too.
I just want to say THANK YOU, VEGGIE BOYS AND GIRLS,for all the hard work that YOUS do so people like me can walk in a market and have a vast Selection of veggies and fruits. I think most would stave without the service YOUS provide. I live in MICHIGAN, but enjoy your family farming videos. May your crops, and family be blessed in abundance🙏🏻❤️
Hi callie you are so cute♥️♥️
Now Andrew, there could be a very enjoyable video featuring the GrandPa character with a sprinkling of his sage advice, old wives tales, and expressions from days gone by. Been hearing the cicadas singing for about a month now out these parts, and intensely again over the last few days. That suggests a first freeze in 6 weeks from four weeks ago, or late August. That is too soon in this hard growing season. Happing Dating! -Bob...
I am here again, for the harvest. I love watching harvest
The corn has ears what for the corn monster .Cabbage has so much gas issues can’t count Cucumber’s has so much stickers on skin that poke you. Wear gloves while picking hot pepper’s don’t pick twice my juice stings. Love to here the snap crackle popping sound while you pick veggies . Left hand very hot wax will be painful right hand sweet banana will give you a sweet tooth. It cost me 23.00 dollars for half a basket of tomatoes. Looks like it’s going to rain boy’s better hurry it up. You all did a good job love watching you all pick . Hope you enjoy a fun laughs on some veggies .
The best Saturday video, yes blossom end rot to typical. This s season especially. But I cut away bad parts & save the rest to make salsa or sauce. Farmers view no good but a home gardener salvage is possible.
Have you ever tried brining 5 gallon buckets when you pick corn. It reduces the number of times needing to go back to the corrugate tote.
Sweet Corn 🌽 and Tomatoes 🍅 certainly make Summer worth the extra effort. There is Nothing Better than Homegrown Vegetables. 👍🙏
Florida here and I am in the middle of my growing season, it's too hot to grow most veg but the melons are coming on. My seedlings are coming on and next week I will have my fall garden set. Those peppers and cucumbers look so yummy!
Just found this channel.. I’m really enjoying it. I’m so jealous of y’all’s green thumbs!!
Andrew you didnt do it last year so you better do it this year! We need to see yall all grab a hot cherry pepper and take a bit!
Would be curious to know how hot they are and how people are using them. Also those hot yellow ones - long ones - they look amazing.
Too spicy

🌽🌽 looks so good 🌽🌽 hi Andrew love watching😊
Blessings to all!

I love the sound of harvesting bell peppers!
Blossom End Rot is the spot on the side of the Bell. Sunscald usually is on the top.
I love this Veggie boy family so much! I just went through and liked buttoned every video they've made! I'll watch all of them later 😊. They're a good decent hard working family! Let's get them to a million subscribers!!!!!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wow your video is so good and nice like to watch your video so much thanks you for sharing the great video 👍
Praise God above for a bountiful harvest, I saw a bumper sticker once that said he don't cuss a farmer with your mouth full. So true the world revolves around farmers. From the desert Southwest in Yuma az also known as the lettuce capital of the world love your channel
Be careful about giving anyone a piece of your mind lest you run out!
Hello Veggie Boys AND Girls!! My husband and I Iove your show! Just curious if you hire outside help to help pick the veggies, or is it just your family members? Your baby girl is adorable!
I love all the videos but grandpa's comments always have me laughing. I worked with my dad for years here on our family farm. He kept everyone laughing and moving, and taught everyone, just like Grandpa. We'd harvestes 100 acre of grapes in rain, freezing rain, even snow some years, and he still kept us smiling. My friends, believe me when I say that sort of dynamic on a family farm working together is rare.... Enjoy it because you will miss it. All the best from your fellow farmers in wine country, Erie, PA. Tell Grandpa we love all the videos but his contributions have us smiling. 😊
Beautiful, beautiful crops.
😁😁😁 Your hard work has paid off!!! God bless..🙏
I love the bug on the screen..makes for an authentic garden!!
❤🙏
I’m a new subscriber... could someone tell me what state they are in? That’s some beautiful produce!

Corn, you are rubbing salt in a open wound. I planted eight twenty foot rows so my niece could have some fresh sweet corn before she left for Veterinary college in Grenada. I went out to pick it the day before she left and raccoons got it all and I tried everything anybody suggested to keep them out, even planted extra figuring the would leave a little. No such luck!

@@markrodrigue9503 I’ve trapped coons for years, bread with honey on it works better and doesn’t catch skunks.
Sorry to hear my friend. I hope it’s better next year
stupid question……how many ears of corn on a stalk? can i work with you guys?! it would be a hoot!! the sounds of picking veggies is music to my ears!
