harvesting vegatables ,feeding cows chicken , machine maintanance , running farmers market and green house , 2 hrs on internet , doing all this everyday , you are a great family and Andrew you are a great guy .
Matthew, you are a natural in front of the camera, and I’m going to predict that you’ll have millions of subscribers. Keep up the humor, hard work, and fun.
Thank you, Matthew!!! Your explanation of determinate versus indeterminate tomato plants is the BEST one I've heard. Until this year I had no idea there was a difference in tomato plants. I suspect I've heard Andrew tell us this in a previous video, but YOUR explanation is the BEST!!! How is it possible little HAPPY CALLIE gets cuter each day! GOD BLESS Y'ALL!!! Wish my veggie stand had your good looking produce!!!
I'll be honest here. I am SUPER jealous! I've NEVER been able to grow my garden even remotely as successful as you guys. I HAVE GOT TO LEARN YOUR SECRETS!!!
Me either! As hard as I try, at the most I'll get 3 peppers per plant! And I never get that many tomatoes per plant! Maybe I should quit putting them in cages and staking and tying them up!
@@Jomama02 try a different variety. I have 5 "new ace" bell pepper plants and have probably picked 75 peppers off them. They always do well for me here in WV. Not a giant pepper, about the size of your fist, but a good taste and a heavy producer. Heirloom tomatoes don't produce as many tomato as the hybrid varieties.
About 44 years ago, haha, part of my moms back yard got tilled up to plant a nice size garden. About 60 feet by 20 feet. The dirt in the summer was absolutely rock hard. Our first attempt at a garden didn't do very well and we were constantly trying to water it to keep stuff growing. That added up on the water bill even back then. One day I ordered a nice truckload of sand. Yes, sand. The garden was already tilled. The sand guy dumped that sand in the middle and we took our time distributing it over the entire garden. (kids helped with buckets) All that sand got tilled into that soil. After a few weeks when it was ready to plant we ran over it again with the tiller and it went up and down those aisles fast. We planted the garden and got a huge surprise when it started to produce. Tomatoes were bursting with color, size and flavor. My vidalia sweet onion sets all grew to a nice medium size. Bell pepper plants were fantastic. Actually an older neighbor told me to put sand on it. He said "you'll never grow in that dirt concrete. He put it on his years ago and had 12 long rows of strawberries. It worked and I still add sand to my soil even when I plant in 5 gallon buckets or pots.
Easiest way is have good soil and ammend and top dress with Gia Green organic nutrients. Bought in bulk it's reasonable and is a great soil conditioner too. Easy peasy.
This channel is my guilty pleasure 🤗, my wifey Lisa laugh’s when I tell her what I’m watching…but there is always something great happening on the farm . Stay safe stay well x
Love that Daniel can get reception on that ear if corn, thanks matt for the tomato update and Joel's muscle power for pumpkins. Love to the grandparents and greats
Callie is absolutely adorable and and that sweet smile is a perfect ending to the videos! Loved seeing all the beautiful veggies from all your the hard work that you all do. I will certainly miss seeing that sweet corn being picked. I would love to have about 2 bushels! God bless you all !
Always add HOPE, to the equation. A person can live without food for a week. Without water, 3 Days. Without Hope, less than 30 mins. You give me Hope...❤❤❤ Thank You...
Love the family business, very much like our family farm, we eat lunch at our parents house everyday. We now watch your videos instead of Foxnews during our meal and you have given us a push to launch our own channel. MullenFarm. Enjoy you guys!!
Our names were simple sweetcorn , field corn , and popcorn . We grew popcorn for cash crop actually bought our school clothes and shoes. It was a kinder caring time neighbors helped neighbors. Had rotating chucking get together from 1 farm to another during corn harvest. I was just a tike when I went to the fields to plant corn and was given 2 rows to plant Dad said when the sky meets the ground you'll be at the end of your rows. But 1 time I didn't want to do it so I made a good size hole and dump the seed in covered it up and went off to play that never ever happened again because I couldn't set down for a week. Thank you for sharing.
In South Africa certain types of corn is called Mielies, pronounced 'Mee-lees'.. 😊. Keep up the great work and even greater content, learning a lot from your wonderful channel!
N. IND: corn, bi-color. Those sweet peppers are beautiful! Imangine a nice round long pepper stuffed with your favorite sandwich spread. Yum! With a side of red tomatoes. I think I heard Callie whisper "bye-bye" as she waved goodby with both hands. 🥰☺️☺️
Callie is so adorable!!! Those were some beautiful peppers. You are right about irrigation. It makes a huge difference having consistent and sufficient water supplied to your plants. Even in a small home garden (I use drip irrigation), plus it saves water!
I think this is the 1st time you Introduced so many people at the Beginning of the video. We know this Operation is a Fine Tuned and Well Oiled Machine. 👍🙏
You guys are so good for the community keeping everyone so healthy with all these fresh fruits and vegetables. And then you provide good beef for other families. God bless you all for the good work you are doing.
Here in Ontario Canada, we have always called it Peaches and Cream. Which is my favourite. However, I do like Summer Crisp (yellow) smothered in butter, salt and pepper.
