Have you ever wondered how your food was grown? Our family farms 80 acres of vegetables in the USA and would be happy to show you!

We passed by on the way to Maine from Virginia in May. Met Andrew, Grammy, aunt Becky and grandpa. Warm, friendly folks are these, and the wife said she got the nicest hanging basket she ever seen! Oh, forgot to tell you how cute your daughter is. Blessings to your family, Andrew.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed these videos….. it is truly nice to see the process by which you operate the farm and how you work together all of you to see that orders are filled and the market place is kept ready for the demand of the market not only in terms of the store there on the farm but people from around who want to give orders to you & Please take orders for them selves or maybe others… i’m just fascinated with every aspect of your farming process and even the picking which seems to be fun for all of you.😊
Andrew, this is a great time to establish date night with your daughter. I grew up in a family with 12 children it was very hard to get time along with just my Dad, … so something that got established early on was on our birthday we could ask for whatever meal we wanted and we got the cake of our choice and a present within reason (as we weren’t very well off. I learned very early on to ask for time with my father. We were very close and I would ask ham to do something with me Which he like to do such as fishing, But it was right in the middle of summer harvest and gardening planting time. I was just sure he wasn’t going to get home in time to share the night with me when just before sunset he showed up from Grandpa’s house. He had not forgotten and he told me you got everything ready? Did you you dig any night crawlers? I smiled because I showed him my collection and we headed down for the pond across from the farm house. It was just my Dad and me…Hand in Hand as we headed for heaven for my father to FISH, & For me, peace and quiet alone with my Dad,.'a when we could just talk about what I wanted and nobody else in they could NOT interrupt US❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️♥️♥️
It was my 16th birthday that we headed down to the pond and as soon as we got there Daddy wasted Wasted no time baiting my hook & Throwing it in the water so I could begin fishing while he walked around to the other side near an old dead tree looking to catch his much desired large catfish he had been fishing for for the last several years. It wasn’t long before I had a fish on my hook and I began reeling it in and then I heard my Dad say,
“Not so fast! “Just as I jerked it and suddenly I felt a hook flying into my Eye…. My father was already my hero before this fishy answer from that point on he definitely he was! XO what is he could get around to the other side of the pond where I was standing, keeping his voice very low and telling me to stay calm, I could see that he was coming near me and that he was also reaching down for his pliers which, he always carried in the loop of his outside carpenter denim pants. The other pocket on the other side he was reaching for handkerchief and keeping his voice low income he continue to say, “be still susie, don’t move and I’ll take care of this quickly!!” In the same moment, I felt his hand reaching to my hand and placing it on his shoulder and he said, quietly, “keep it right there and don’t move! No matter what! “And then he placed my other hand on his waist and I wasn’t sure if this was the Steady me or him, But he went to my eye it in the side of my cheek because by then I could feel the coldness of the blood running down my face and he said,
“ I want you to close your eyes now, and hold very still and try not to move no matter what Suzie❣️❣️”
In one swift move I felt and heard the sound of my fathers pliers tighten on the Fishhook in My eye and quickly and swiftly, The hook was out and I could feel daddies handkerchief once again why people are away yes he played pressure to the area and he said “well, that wasn’t so bad now was it?” and I said, “No Daddy!” as I shook my head and he continued to put pressure on my eyelid and kissed me on my cheek and said, “you did good! You were very brave! “…He turned and looked at the pond and said, “we can fish for just a little bit longer call and we did. 15 minutes later daddy had caught the catfish here wanna kill and I had caught a nice bowl head that was worth keeping to eat later. We walked home with our catch and daddy and I stayed out and clean them and skinned them on the back porch. Date night with my father was something I look forward to every year. It was more special the older I got and I think he enjoyed it too.!! He is gone now and I miss him terribly but I have the scar on my eyelid to remind me that wonderful time we went fishing together and I wouldn’t trade that scar for anything, nor a dad that took time to spend with his daughter alone from everyone else even if it was for just an hour making me feel special in amongst the big family❣️❣️♥️♥️😊😊

Good afternoon Veggie Boys. Just dropping in to once again express my appreciation for all you do working with dirt - soil being our most important resource. I especially appreciate the fact that you provide alternative food sources to online "deliver to your doorstep" online food companies that deliver food in cardboard boxes, which means that the contents have a good chance of getting spoiled by the inevitable rains of August. God Bless Y'all.

I've noticed that grocers on the west coast don't seem to know what a poblano chile pepper is. They are ALWAYS marketed as "pasilla" which is a different chile altogether and doesn't even look the same. Poblanos are fat and squat while pasillas are long and thin. A true fresh pasilla is a rare find on the west coast unless home grown while poblanos can be found in virtually every supermarket and are the preeminent chile used for chile rellenos. When jalapeños turn ripe and red, they are called Fresnos out here.

Good afternoon all the Veggie Boys & Girls :), we have been watching your YT programme for quite some time, and I have to say from the first show I looked at I am still in love with the present. Cannot wait for new videos to load. It is understandable with all the hands on picking it is not easy to do the editing for videos but when Grandpa made a statement "subscribe" that made me think yea he's correct, so I am a new subscriber even though I am well aware of all your responsibilities during all the Seasons. We just love Kelly Rose, she is such a Darling child always has a smile and always looks happy, like my own grandson, it is amazing when children behave like that. Not all things are possible hence our veggies are dismal to say the least. Potatoes are a nightmare we have tried so many varieties but still not satisfied for what we have to pay. People who can buy from the Farm Stall do not always appreciate the value what they can buy. Yes, Brinjals do have thorns at the calyx I know what their sting feels like, I pick them with tender loving care. Veggies truly are amazing and so good for us. Do take care, be happy, we are watching you. Kind regards, Elize

Blimps in the Pennsylvania area usually moor/anchor at Williamsport Airport. N3A, the 'Spirit of Goodyear,' is scheduled today (27 August 2022) at Cleveland, but I'd think they'd moor at Akron:
    NFL BROWNS VS BEARS
    First Energy Stadium
    Cleveland, OH
    August 27, 2022
    WEWS
    N3A
    Sunday, 28 August 2022:
    NFL STEELERS VS LIONS
    Acrisure Stadium (formerly Heinz Field)
    Pittsburgh, PA
    August 28, 2022
    CBS
    N3A
A few years back, it would be a safe guess that they were covering the City Council meetings at Scranton, they were fun back during the "Ray Days"!!! And, if memory serves, the US Military had one break loose, then come down near Williamsport nearly a decade ago.

Hey Joel, I am a huge fan of root beer and root beer floats. Growing up my grandfather use to make us root beer floats all the time. I go to Safeway and they have root beer float ice cream bars. Great thing.

Peaches and cream is what we call the yellow and white corn. My favorite 🌽 is actually field corn harvest it early blanch and freeze it and it's wonderful. I ad the amount of sugar in the corn 🌽 for the other family members 🤔🤔🤔

When grandpa came out of the blue like that and told me to subscribe I hopped out of the comments to check if I'd subscribed. Despite watching all the vids I hadn't. So I've done as I've been told and subscribed. 🤣

Nice harvest. Wish I could have a couple of those half bushel baskets of plum tomatoes. Beautiful harvest! Thanks so much for sharing! Glad you pointed that out about the water. In FL, where my family is from, when there is a lot of water, both the watermelons and strawberries have almost no flavor. Love those peppers you all get. Makes me want to try some next year.

I planted exactly one jalapeño plant this year. I took 2 dozen off of it yesterday and there are still more. I make jam with mine.
