I liked all of the Simplify videos, it is difficult to choose a favorite. I am about to upgrade my current system to active. Will be replacing my RD400/4 with your VX800/8i. I also have your HD 750/1 on sub duty. If I had to choose one of these very well done videos I pick the JL VXi Amplifier Product Spotlight as it gave me detailed information about the product and how it was designed and built as well as showing how well thought out the VXi series is. Well done I am a proud user of JL Audio products. Thanks for all of your amazing products.
In a fully active system, a 32 band graphic eq is overkill. Once you correct for level matching, all you really need to correct for is for peak node leveling.
There is no such thing as too many options,you dont have to use them all, i dont even own one but this us one serious piece of gear, every single person on this Earth hear sound frequencies differently,and this covers everything,come on bud its jl!
The giveaway brought me here. The VXI amps are sexy in their own right but I am a sucker for a parametric eq which I believe to be the strongest feature of this amp.
I would love to have a VXi amp, I’m looking to put a custom system into my new Kia Stinger and would like to integrate two sets of VXi amps for two 13W5 sub with separate mids and Highs in the audio system. I have a Audison Bitone I was going to use, but looking to s get ride of and would prefer to use the VXi for all my DSP settings to allow for a smaller footprint of hardware in the build I want to put into the car.
Fantastic explanations,would optional cabin mic give you even better end results? I'm just thinking off the top of my head, but a mic that would map the interior of your vehicle auto adjust the settings on the twk/tun and then you could dial it in from there?
@mike jones's, we woudl typically mic the vehicle from the listening position while playing pink noise to show you where to make the initial EQ adjustments for a fairly flat acoustic base line. From there you could adjust for personal taste in an added preset if you wish. The TwK does not have the hardware or processing power to do it automatically so you would need to make manual adjustments.
Thank you! And when is hdmi going to be implemented into car audio? It is capable of better sound quality right? Seems like it would streamline a lot of things and be all around better
@mike jones's, hard to say if HDMI will become mainstream. I would expect optical signal to be more prevalent. Some aftermarket radios are already starting to come with optical outputs.
Strange, i know that optical wont support the new 7.1 dolby 3d or blue ray sound,doubt you would need it but as fast as this stuff moves i thought for sure hdmi would be it, hdmi can do so much more
Jl audio made it EASY with the pre set settings,then once you get familiar with it you can move to the advanced settings and tune your heart away,and if you had any problems jl customer service is bar none. Do yourself a favor and pick one up, you will never ever need another eq,jl can update the software and you will never be '' behind the curve"😉😉

How did you realize this is how the equalization should look like? Did you measure the output or did you just listen to music?
