About this channel: We are the Smith's. A Christian family of 6, living in the country just outside of Georgetown, Texas. Granger, an author and former country music singer, Amber, an actor and stay at home mom, and their children: London, Lincoln, River (who we lost when he was 3yrs old) and Maverick.

Mavy is growing up so fast! I love to hear him talk.
Of my two boys, my youngest was always getting hurt. At 1, he was sick and his fever got so high, he went into seizures. At 2, he fell in a hidden fire (under white ash) at a campsite and screamed all the way to the hospital. At 2 1/2, a large mirror fell on him and broke his collar bone. At 6, he had surgery for what we were told was appendicitis but he wasn't getting any better so they went back in to see what was wrong and found he had diverticulitis! There have been so many other things but he made it through childhood and is doing well at almost 43.
Just typing this made me feel all those feelings i had when they happened. 😵💫😵💫
That kid is growing so fast! It is great how much dad time he gets & raising all the kids on the farm. It is so fun listening to Maverick’s conversations with you both & seeing things from his eyes. Thank you for sharing your lives, Granger & Amber!

Anyone who has raised one child or 15 they get hurt. Bumps & boo boo’s are all a part of being a child, living life & all of the experiences. It’s the kiddos with the injuries you don’t see who are the ones truly in trouble. So many life lessons learned. No parent ever wants their child to get hurt. But you can’t put them in a bubble. Life is meant to live for however long God has planned for us. ❤
The interior of that truck makes me miss my first truck ever. 1987 f-150 lariat! I remember driving with the brights on all night not realizing the button was on the floorboard lol
The family I gave the Up Toward the Light book to really liked it. Our community was greatly affected by the passing of our friend. He was middle aged and had been a volunteer firefighter, river rescue, and paid medic and then medic dispatcher because of this health. The Lord is using both of you with speaking, and writing.
It was so good to hear Earl's truck run I love that truck . Mavi is a going concern and so adventurous he must keep you busy

Don't worry about what people say about your parenting country boy. Maverick is growing like a weed and his speech is incredible! Such a happy boy he is. The truck started 🎈. What a great memory you are making, you are incredibly blessed, y'all are. The truck is pretty sick. What if you pulled the corn and built a baseball field? I was just thinking about earls truck today and low and behold there it is!
Granger, if you have a problem with the deer eating your peaches. Take 5 @ 8’ Pound in fence posts. Put them around your fruit tree then wrap heavy fishing line around the posts a few times. The deer come up and pump into the fishing line, because they can’t see it, and move on.
So cute when Maverick asks if he likes the truck.

Wow. My life has been so busy this last year and I haven't kept up. I can't get over how fast the kids have grown. Mav is going to be 3 this summer already? I started watching 2 weeks before River went home. I can't get over how much Mav reminds me of him. I still pray everyday for your family. With everything going on in my life right now, how you have allowed GOD to help your family has been of great encouragement for me. Enduring through the hard times in our lives and trusting GOD for the future is what can produce the most beautiful flowers in our garden of life. GOD bless all of you.
Btw Granger I have heard plucking the fruit off your new trees the first 3 years allows the tree roots to grow deep and put their energy into the roots going deep into the ground. We used to have sunset peach tree on the mountain. Last year I tasted a sweet dream peach for the 1st time. My new favorite. Yum
