Still think it should’ve been a single to this day.
Sober was my favorite when this album came out!

I haven't listen to all of the songs on this album. But I just wanted to say that I think Selena is such a beautiful and talented woman, who kept getting stronger with all of the things she had to go through. I'd love to hug her

Perfec is such an emotional song one of the best songs ever
Yes
YESSSS, I only found this song this year and i've been a Selenator forever! Thank goodness for Spotify😂😂😁
Her droplets are:
- Bad liar
- Fetish
- Taki taki
- Wolves
- Back to you
- It ain’t me
- I can’t get enough
✨Also in the same era if you want to check them out:
- We don’t talk anymore
- Only you
- Kill em with kindness (acoustic)
- Trust nobody
- Anxiety (with julia michaels)
🧡
Also a throwback but her collab with ZED 😍 " I want you to know"
The fact that these are like a whole other albums worth of songs
@@juliebenitez1880 yeah i LOVE that one but it’s not from this era

Also if you don't know she gonna make this as an whole album called "seven heavens" with some unreleased songs. But her team didn't make it for some reason.
Another song of hers that’s more sultry and has a rap feature is Fetish! It’s like Good For You’s older sister. Also one of her more emotional songs is The Heart Wants What It Wants, and I’d actually recommend listening to it with the music video (which I never do) because it adds to the emotions of the song!
literaly two of her best songs

You’re AMAZING 🤩
Yesss, I was waiting for this. Please react to the rest of her solo discography:
• Revelacion Spanish ep
• Droplets: I want you to Know, We don’t Talk Anymore, Trust Nobody, It Ain’t me, Only You, Kill em with Kindness acoustic, Bad Liar, Fetish, Wolves, Back to You, Taki Taki, I can’t Get Enough, Anxiety, Ice Cream, Past Life, 999, & Let Somebody Go.
She also has a few albums with Hollywood records (Kiss & Tell, A Year Without Rain, When the Sun Goes Down, Stars Dance, & For You ep), they are very much Disney sounding albums and she had no creative control but I think you should still check them out to see how much she’s evolved in her music career.
Yessssss
also the heart wants what it wants (even tho it's from her compilation album)! one of her best songs ever!
I second this 🙋🏻♂️
Fun fact: The song "Nobody" was written for God and Jesus specifically, since her faith helped her very much in those painful moments.
I remember she even performed it with a Christian group in one of their concerts.
Love your videos!! Sending lots of love from Uruguay ❤🇺🇾
I'm glad she wrote it that it can easily be a relationship song too for those of us who aren't religious. It's one of my favorites but I've never thought of it as a song about faith.
Yo también veo las reacciones en inglés 🤣💖 amo que descubran a Selena
"Revival" was a big game changer in Selena's career, she was going through a lot of things, a lot of problems and dealing with a lot and she was only 23 at the time, but it was a time where she was able to be more open and creative in her songs (as on the previous album "Stars Dance" she was on another label and didn't have as much freedom to do what she wanted). She matured very fast and early, and she is much more vulnerable in this album than in "Rare". I personally think SG2 (as she calls the "Rare" album), is a more mature album, lyrically speaking, and sonically speaking too, and even in the construction of the album, song orders. I think she found her sound there, what suits her. In the "Revival" era she had not yet suffered the kidney transplant surgery that almost took her life, nor the consequences of having an autoimmune disease, so she was way more confident with her vocals, her live performances, her songs and albums. The disease, the media and everything she went through, ended up disseminating her confidence, self-esteem, etc. But I'm sure she is getting better every day and at SG3 she will come back with everything.
Que bueno tu comentario !!! 🤍
Yesss!!!

When she did the interview where she said she was thinking about quitting music, she said that because when she released Lose You To Love Me and then her Rare album which she felt like was the best music she had ever released, it still felt like it wasn't "good enough" for some people. She just felt like at that point, it was hard for her to gain the respect she wanted in the music industry, as if she needed to "prove herself" even though she's been in the industry for 10+ years. She loves making music, but of course, I mean anyone would want to be respected in any field they're in. She could just ignore it but she's very much a people pleaser.
She later did another interview after news broke out about her possibly quitting, and said she wasn't quitting and doesn't think she will ever stop making music. She just felt a bit frustrated. She said this specifically in to clarify...
*"I'm not saying I want a Grammy. I just feel like I'm doing the best I can, and it's all about me. Sometimes, that can really get to me."*
With the next album, she wants to go a different path from Rare. She's still incredibly proud of Rare of course, but she says she wants to make it different. Based on the songs that have been registered and the producers she's been working with, it seems like the direction of her next album will be going a very trap/rnb/pop route. It could be something completely different though since at one point in 2018, we thought Rare would be a Christian pop album, but regardless, it's really interesting.
Where do I go to look at what songs have been registered?
i think revival is a fan favourite because it's got such standout songs and great vocal delivery, and it was a big departure lyrically from her previous work, but i think rare is more cohesive thematically and has stronger lyrics overall. both albums are so special and talk about pain and healing in beautiful ways, and while she doesn't have the strongest voice to belt etc., she conveys emotions in such a special way
She is a queen on doing ballads, Lose You To Love Me, The Heart Wants What It Wants, Love Will Remember, Camouflage, Cologne, Only You etc, and now Let Somebody Go with Coldplay IS OUT
so true
I have a playlist for when I want to be emotionally wrecked and Perfect is on it. I have a distinct memory of listening to it on repeat when I was having bad anxiety during a road trip and just staring out the window during high school lol
I've never been in that situation, but this song elicits such strong emotion each time I listen to it
Ahh the classic emotionally wrecked playlist 🎶
This album is just so empowering and at the same time incredibly emotionally vunerable it's beautiful, truly a piece of art (with some bangers thrown in for fun as well)
Revival was never a flop. Selena brings you into her true experiences in her life. Also, the album feels like a relationship where it starts lovely and then you hear sad experiences which we do have in relationships and then it goes back to being empowering. The album is truly amazing in my opinion. Selena can break my heart any day.
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS! in my opinion, revival is her best album. I think with that album she explored more genres and also her voice. (Also lyrically this is my favorite album). Thank you for this reaction and for appreciating her as well 🤍
I recommend listening to her newest full Spanish EP "Revelacion" its really good and she is also dropping a new song with Coldplay "Let Somebody Go" out of the new Coldplay album tonight.
Thanks for this reaction! You should definitely check out the “droplets” that were mentioned.
Being a Selena fan since 2009 it’s very sad to see how her health issues impacted her career. But even though Rare didn’t perform like Revival (in charts) it’s amazing to see how she has managed to still do a lot in the industry. We love her ❤️
the reason her vocals may seem a little stronger on this album because she has lupus, an autoimmune disease, which can affect the vocal chords, it probably took it's toll a little bit over time. but I still love Rare.
As someone with lupus, it also really can impact your lungs. Used to sing all the time and have pretty decent breath control. A big lupus episode in my life caused me to develop asthma and I can’t hold notes as long anymore. Must’ve been really difficult for her going back into the studio after all she went through, so proud of her for all she accomplished with Rare.
Yes 👍. Her voice change as time passed, especially when her condition got more and more severe.
But some people don’t understand how this can affect her and ppl with this condition.
the "i mean i could but why would i want to" part sounds SO FUN in concerts! my revival show was cancelled but i've seen lots of concert videos and performances and it's amazing :')
Selena Gomez is just incredible, good for you, same old love, kill with kindness ( live by that motto and me and my girls I wish she had a video for that song
The revival song is so underrated, it is amazing vocally and the message she gives too
if you liked kill em with kindness you should listen to the acoustic version, it really brings out a different emotion in you! i fully recommend it☺️🙃
YES THE ACOUSTIC VERSION IS HEAVENLY
It’s kinda way better it’s so under rated also only you
Watching someone who isn’t a fan of hers and genuinely enjoying her albums is so great, she is so underrated in my opinion!
She isn't the strongest singer, but her lyrics *chefs kiss* . She isn't afraid to expirement. I also love how she is able to be vulnerable and self aware! She is also very gracious, humble, and genuine every time you see her in interviews ! She deserves all her success!!
lyrically, melodically, and vocal wise, perfect is my favorite song of all time from her!
Also, I love Selena Gomez…but I don’t think you’d enjoy the Disney era albums too much. Trust me they’re good and I will watch all 3 of those reaction videos in a second but idk…If anything I would recommend checking out her “For You” album that is her greatest hits album before she left Selena Gomez and the Scene and went solo. And ya might as well react to Stars Dance which is her first solo album…but seriously the droplet era is where it’s at. If you are a fan of good for you and sober then I think you’re gonna really like Bad Liar and fetish (and their music videos).
Bad liar is one of my all time fav songs.
KIss & tell, the second album, and Sun goes down- and EXPECIALLY Stars Dance, are great! I Think Stars-Dance is amazing.
Love this reaction! Selena does music not just for her, but for her fans. She knows she isn't out there vocally, but she makes it up with her kindness and her message. She just has a beautiful soul
Sober is forever my favourite Selena song I love it so much, the bridge (especially the line "your like a wasted dream") kills me everytime
Perfect and Good For You have got to be some of the best songs I've ever heard. I was obsessed with them back when this album came out in 2015 and I still am now. wow. I need this Selena back on SG3

Selena kills it with rappers like everyone knows that any rapper that hops on her song will kill it lol it’s a funny thing that people say that rappers really do be doing their best just to impress her which is so funny and cute. Plus her angelic voice has so many layers that she can easily change it & lord I want her to rap bc I honestly think she would kill it💯
Idc about forcing any opinions on anyone except the fact that Perfect is a perfect song. It’s one of her best most underrated

YOU SHOULD SEE HER SOBER LIVE AT THE REVIVAL TOUR WHICH IS AMAZING
Even though Rare came out 5 years after Revival, a lot of people prefer Revival, but to fully understand why, you have to know a bit about the 5-year gap between Revival and Rare.
Rare was supposed to come out 2017 with a different tracklist. That version of the album would've been more shady, vulnerable, and heartbroken. She released "Bad Liar", and "Fetish" in 2017 which were supposed to be the first 2 singles from the album and are considered her artistic peak. After releasing Fetish, she had her kidney transplant and was dealing with major depression from 2017-2018, and because of that, she was in a different mindset and didn't want Rare to be shady, dark, and heartbroken anymore, so she scrapped the rollout, release, and tracklist and did a lot of new positive and uplifting songs from 2018-2019 instead, so most of the Rare tracklist you see in the final version are songs she did in 2018-2019. A lot of people didn't like Rare because they were expecting her to tell her truth with her relationship drama in those 5 years and health issues. They were also expecting it to be her artistic peak because of her artistry with Bad Liar and Fetish. Instead, she only chose to tell her truth in Lose You To Love Me and made the rest of the album about healing and being in a good place. It's just a matter of what Selena needed vs. what everyone was expecting/wanting. Selena needed an album that would uplift her and turn her 5 years of suffering into a beautiful album about her being able to love herself. Fans and the public on the other hand wanted an album where she talked about her struggles during those 5 years instead. I genuinely believe a lot more people would've appreciated the healing album that "Rare" is, had we also had the 2017 album that would've been filled with heartbreak because we just needed to hear the suffering album before we could even begin to appreciate the healing album, but that's not what Selena wanted to release.
Also, because she's "at peace" with Rare, she doesn't really explore her voice sonically and stays at a "comfortable" level. As you heard, she didn't really do much belting nor experiment with her voice in Rare in contrast to Revival where she belts and experiments a lot with her voice, so that's a reason why people prefer Revival. The songs in Rare are much more cohesive than Revival, but Revival's songs are much more stand-alone which is another reason why some people like Revival more.
Even Selena herself knows that people weren't as fully satisfied with Rare so she's going to be going in a different direction with her next album so that'll be interesting to see since even she herself stated that Rare was her in her "comfort-area" and that she wanted to do something different with the next album.
It is such a shame that people criticised Rare so much, honestly the more I listen to it the more I love it. I think Revival is great, but it is such an easier album to love, imo, whilst Rare you have to understand a bit more to really appreciate it
@@giuliantoneIIi Rare is more of a grower. Didn't like it at first but after listening to it a few times, I was obsessed with it
Wow even tho I’ve been a selenator for so long I didn’t know rare was supposed to come out in 2017. Thank you!
When I first heard Camouflage that same spot where she matches the piano had me hooked on the song. She has such a beautiful voice and the emotion she sings with makes you feel every song
Perfect was the deluxe track lol. It chronicles her insecurities with a cheating partner. Also the lyric in Nobody is “Nobody’s ever loved me to the truth”. I believe it’s about her relationship with Jesus, although of course the listener can interpret it however. And since I haven’t seen anyone say it yet, “the heart wants what it wants” is another good song by her :) nice reaction!
This is my favorite album for Selena especially the sad songs lol. I'm glad I found a youtuber that loves the lyrics as much as I do. Just recently watch all your 5sos and taylor swift reactions and loved them.♡♡♡♡
Thank you Deema 🧡🧡

It’s funny he said how he can appreciate what rise could do for someone- fun fact Lilly Singh (superwomen) said that song gave her the courage to come out ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Yes I love your reactions to her! you should definitely check out her Latest Album which is a Spanish language Album it’s so good! “Revelacion” and also her single “Bad Liar” that’d be a good music video reaction.
She made a Spanish ep called revelación, it is amazing! She is working on her next album rn.
Droplets: fetish, bad liar, back to you, wolves, it ain’t me, taki taki, and I can’t get enough.
Rise is one of my favortie song of hers. For me, the chorus is when you rise and feel powerful but everybody has different taste and I would have also loved to hear a version with a soft chorus. But you need to react to The Heart Wants What It Wants, it has a talking part, like you wanted to have and it's quite an emotional and beautiful song (the music video is also really emotional and goes really well with the song)
Perfect is my FAVORITE song, or at least one of my favorites on Revival! Revival is my favorite album ☺️🥺!
Please do a video on her droplet Era. She has so many great songs. I also love the ones she features in like Taki Taki and we don't talk anymore. Also her singing in spanish is so beautiful. She's just so great.
One of her best album ever. She nailed out in all of these songs and also sounds amazing 😍
Selena doesn't have a big range she can't hit really high notes. that's why her voice seems more "quiet" so it can sit in her vocal range better. she gets a lot of hate for that because people often compare her voice to other big range artists wich is so sad (and she knows all of that). But I love her voice it's beautiful and full of emotion like you said :)
also she has lupus which can affect her voice
Yeah, I truly feel like she has so much emotions in her voice. It's just so beautiful
Also, imo, some other artists that do have a bigger voice range don't communicate emotions as well as she does
Selena actually has a Spanish album called Revelacion. If you can, you should react to it, its very good!
I think you should react to all of Selena's albums. I really liked her albums that she did with her band Selena Gomez & The Scene back in the day, "Kiss & Tell", "A Year Without Rain", and "When The Sun Goes Down". Her first solo album was "Stars Dance" and all of the songs have great beats. I recommend listening to them all.
When the sun goes down is genuinely an amazing album. I also love kiss and tell but it’s more nostalgic I guess

@@ashlynnhubbard4457 I think it wasn’t on the US streaming services until this year for some reason. It’s on the deluxe version internationally since release
Michael it's so satisfying see u listening her songs for the first time!! Please react to her music videos and songs from her droplets era (fetish, it ain't me, wolves, back to you, bad liar) U GONNA LOVE IT!!!
When Revival came out, I was so obsessed with it. It has so many great songs, but as I've grown with Selena *she's one yr older than me* I really fell in love with Rare. It's mature and beautifully produced. As I've matured with her, her Rare album is, at my age now, more relatable. I think that's the issue with her fan base, they lowkey haven't grown or a lot are still young. So much of her stan fan base hate every little thing she does unless it's shady or "Bad Bitch" vibes and it's honestly weird.
Revelación was and is absolutely a beautiful ep that I am in love with. As a proud Mexican, her tapping into her Mexican culture and roots really made me happy. Of course her fan base failed her again, but outside of stan Twitter, the EP is greatly appreciated by the world. I highly recommend it.
Thank you for having a great reaction to both albums and being awesome in general 👏❤

As a SelenaG fan I think Rare is her best album and my favorite too, revival is good and is the album that everybody loves because it's not that hard to listen to and more mainstream but as a fan Rare is everything, especially because se had full control over it.

If you don’t want to react to her old albums maybe you could react only to the remarcable songs from those albums like: naturally, a year without rain, who says, love you like a love song, hit the lights, come and get it, slow down. Those are really important songs in her career even though she was a baby when she recorded them.

The QUEEN, love her to bits - beautiful album, i still listen to Sober on repeat , i see Cologne isn't here - thats a beautiful song too ...
Selena Gomez is actually a multitalented artist. She is like a jack of all trades and excelling in each one of them
Singer, Actress, Songwriter, Philanthropist, Producer, Designer and a very successful Businesswoman. She owns Rare Beauty her very successful makeup brand, she is a part owner in the Iconic Ice Cream Restaurant and brand Serendipity and owns a production company which has produce hits like 13 Reasons Why, Living Undocumented and a lot more.
She has been through hell and what not. So proud of the Woman she is today, everything she stands for and everything she has achieved. She is one of the most Versatile artist of all times.
She is also a woman with such a big vision and a woman with a cause. She is an big advocate for Mental Health, her whole Brand Rare Beauty revolves around that. She advocates against Hate Mongering, a very big advocate of Black Lives Matter and I have just barely scratched the surface.
She is a QUEEN. Her musical talent is very underrated. She deserves so much more.
Thanks for reacting to this album I really love it
Revival was such a pivotal moment in my life where I was going through a hard depression after graduating H.S. 🤍🖤 by far my favorite album and seeing her blossom into the artist she is now, makes me feel so proud of her 🌹

Love your reaction! This album is so good! Every time I listen to perfect, it breaks my heart! She can make you feel things!
Love her as a person, so nice! Maybe if you know a little more about her, you'll understand so much more about her evolution, music and other projects!
Omg I saw your last review and seeing this is so adorable like, I feel like you are a stan now
you should check out her singles and collabs, Fetish, Bad liar, It ain't me, Wolves, Back to You to name a few
First of all, I am literally soo grateful for your reaction. It seems like the most genuine one I've ever seen, and I am so glad that you also pointed out the parts that you didn't like, because many people just don't do that, because they're afraid of hate. But the fact that you did state very clearly the parts that you missed or didn't like just made the parts that you did like stand out even more for me. So thank you. If you like the spanish vibe than you have to check out her spanish album "Revelación" it is REALLY good! Also her droplet era has some of her best songs in my opinion (wolves, fetish, etc.)
You have to check out all her Music Videos of her Droplet Era.
she has a fully spanish ep called revelacion (2021) it's really good
