I’ve driven this tail several times in my totally stock 1989 two wheel drive ford ranger with a camper shell. No problems.
You did pretty good for never having been here before!! I love bee canyon. It's my backyard. Maybe we'll see you out there sometime 😁
Thanks for this video. I grew up in Hemet. Left for the Army in 89. Came back and fought fire with VG a few years. Retired Army and living in missouri now. I plan on coming back in sep 2022 and driving my restored 1946 willys CJ2A up bee canyon and thomas mountain. This motivates me so much. Thanks again.
Note: Do as I say, not as I do. Go with a friend if you hit a trail. Safety.
Also, at 6:55 I think misspoke when I said that fork is where the Bee Canyon Truck Train ends. I believe it ended a little earlier, and at this point already became the San Jacinto Ridge Truck Trail.
great vlog , looking forward to the next one !
I've been on this trail probly over a 100 times and it's surprising how many people don't realize the benefits of airing down, not just for traction but for comfort and less wear and tear on your vehicle.
(And dental work.🦷
Lol airing down for that trail... just giving you a hard time. Cheers man.
Hi. Great video bro. Looks like your jeep had no problems on that trail and she's bone stock ,suspension and tire wise anyway. I'm about to buy pretty much the same rig and I was looking for a video that gave me some insight so thanks man.
14:26 Ha!! The same thing happened to me in my video at around the same place. I too, am too cheap to buy a regular GoPro and opted for a refurbished Session 4. That deep rut section can be a little hairy, but you seemed to float right over it with no problem. It's not pretty when you do it in a Subaru.
Yeah, the only reason I even bought the original Session a long time ago is because they cut the price in half and because of the form factor. I use it on my rifle.
U made it in a Subaru nice! I should be good in my 19 ram 1500 than
Really nice up there, thanks for the show!
Nice video.
Looks like a nice trail to run and test out the new rig.
I just heard about this trail and wanted to find some video to see how it is. Looks like my stock rig will walk through it.
I air down on dirt trails for comfort as well. I just did Shafer Trail to Potash road in my Subaru last week and ran at 15#
I usually run between 10 to 12PSI, that way it feels like a care bear on a cloud no matter what I run over.🧸☁️☻👍
Great video. So glad I came across your channel.
Nice video! I think you really didn’t have to air down on this trail. It looked pretty much flat dirt throughout the way minus a few rocks here and there that’s not really major.
We should hit this trail sometime
Awesome Video man! I am doing these trails tomorrow for the first time. I also have a 17 Rubicon
Great vid brother
Going here tomorrow i sure hope that rut did not get worse.
Gotta do that trail now; idillwild is an awesome place to visit
I've taken these roads in an '86 Nissan hardbody.
Jus took my ‘87 2wd for the first time 😂
Hi how do i get ther where do you star and get to the water
How long did it take you to do the hole trail from start to finish ? I would have to go back and forth because I would have to come back for my truck and trailer..
Great Vid Brotha! I have not made it across from Hemet/Bee Canyon to the Idyllwild side. Need to jump in the Jeep and do that. Maybe a little shooting on the way? And then some pizza for lunch in Idyllwild. Hit me up if your in! SUB earned! 😎🇺🇸
Great vlog. What microphone do you use?
Great Video just did this trial today. I took the right side smh lol
Great video man thanks for it I want to do it ware did you got air down tools you thin I can maket on my Toyota it’s lift a bit thanks if respond
You don't need to air down. It's basically a service road. Airing down is just a comfort thing for this specific trail.
Did u have cell service threw out the trail?
I heard you talked a little bit of tagalog. Are you Filipino?
What can you tell me about the Shovel mount I saw in your Jeep. I have tried several applications and could not find one that would work. We have taken the back way to Idyllwild several time in stead of the 243. Especially now since the washout.
I just used Quick Fist mounts secured to the Springtail Solutions sideracks. You can get Quick Fist anywhere (Amazon, Home Depot, etc) - www.quickfist.com/. The Springtail Solutions side racks are direct (google for "springtail solutions").
I’m at about 40 psi with my nitto ridge grapplers, what psi should i air down to?
Whatever you feel makes the ride more comfortable to you. 40 psi is definitely going to ride rough. The only reason to air down for this trail is for comfort. 20-25 should be comfortable enough and will be safe so you don't slip a bead.
Is this trail 2wd friendly lol?
Looks like it.
What’s The name of the mount you use in your dashboard for your phone?
67 Designs
I have an RWD f150 with a diff lock. do you think i can do it
Unless things have changed in the past couple years, it should be accessible for an F-150.
What are the rules and regulations to shooting?
No idea. I've never shot there (I use private ranges). But the information site is here: www.fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsinternet/cs/recarea?ss=110512&navtype=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&cid=FSE_003738&navid=110240000000000&pnavid=110000000000000&position=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&recid=26525&ttype=recarea&pname=Bee%20Canyon%20Recreational%20Shooting%20Sites
Do you think a 2wd can do this trail?
Yes
Name of the APP for navigating you were using Is ????
I literally say the name of the app at 3:30.
Gaia GPS.
Nice. Next time take 4s21 33.7674382,-116.7895073
Yes, I know of that trail. Didn't want to do it without other vehicles along.
Easy trail .
Is this place still open?
You'll want to confirm with forestry. Based on searches of the BLM site and comparing to info on trailsoffroad.com, I'm getting mixed results on closed vs open.
Maybe I missed it but how long did this take you?
If you don't make a bunch of stops to look around and record video footage, it should only take you 2 hours.
@@ocabj cool, thank you
Anyone do this trail in a 4x2?
Assuming it's not washed out or raining, you should be fine in 2WD.
