Contemporary Marching Band - Grade 3-4
Recorded by Journey in 1983, this rock hit remains as popular as ever in movies and pop culture. With the familiar anthem-like chorus and solid rock groove, this chart generates energy from start to finish!

I wish they arranged more easily recognizable pop songs
Definitely, small-scale younger arrangers have been pretty much relied upon for getting new tunes out there. Having more difficult versions of recent music, even recognizable music from the past decades would go a long way to revitalize music ed and get people excited at schools & colleges, both performers and audience if they had music they were really hyped about. It'd really help music culture for students and get more people interested in band. The arrangements are super important to that, because if they're not really true to the vibe of the original song, it won't get people as excited
@@nbd_0404 yeah. Usually the songs are pretty similar to the original songs rhythms but slightly watered down to make it easier to play and usually written a key higher than the original song but and the most common keys I see them write in is Key of B flat, F, E flat and Ab. Only time I see it in another key that wasn't mentioned is if there's a key change.
@@FastnOut very true, maybe they'll release some higher level stuff sometime 🤞
Separate Worlds was used in Tron Legacy just FYI
@@webduelistTron legacy is more than a decade old sadly
Imma try to ask my teacher if we can play this for marching band
La suerte de los tontos please

Madam how to learn to arrange like you did? And from where did you learn arranging?
Because they're professionals. They arrange hundreds of songs
A PAUL MURTHA SONG THAT IS ACTUALLY GOOD
I don’t think this is a very good arrangement… I really like the song, but this just didn’t do it
@hylark4091 Well the arrangement for Me isn't great but it's fricken paul Murtha he tries to put pop songs into concert band arrangements. But when he isn't, if you see a piece with a lot of baritone parts and the trombone section is asleep that is also him...my favorite composer is Michael Sweeny his piece are so incredible he uses so much percussion in his music it's so beautiful
Boooo do some HBCU songs!
