    Since my daughter was born, I have been trying to go from sedan to suv, after tested a few of SUVs, I decided to get the Subaru XV eyesight because the symmetrical awd can give us a stable comfort, dynamic driving compared to others automaker and safety features is top notch in class. Not everyone needs a turbo engine, but Subaru NA boxer engine is linear acceleration that my family won't complain.

    I have just buy a used 2023 Subaru. Despite its weaknesses such as poor infotainment, high fuel consumption in city, easily scratched driver window compare to my old car Tucson, I’m happy choosing Forester. Its driving view, comfort for passengers, smooth and safety handle with cvt and awd, comfortable seating - cargo space.
    It’s not a sport car. So I don’t need a 200hp car. When driving alone, I use S driving mode to have some fun. With Vietnam traffic, we don’t have any road with limit speed over 120km/h, so this car is not strong but okay for our traffic conditions.
    For long trip, the fuel economy can low down to 6.5L/100km. In city it vary from 9-13L/100km depends.
    About the design, I love it. It’s not a design you can love at first sight, but you will love it more and more.

    as a Forrester owner (GT lite version) ,i am glad Subaru pickup the trim/body kit from GT lite version and apply it into latest Forrester 2023, as it makes the looks getting younger and bit modern. Additional body kit is no longer required, as the existing one is already good enough. That's why i bought it sometime ago

    I feel XV has a firmer suspension and handles better on road (feels pretty good, I feel), whilst Forester has a softer suspension set up (too soft for my liking, would have loved it if it took on the firmness of the XV, perhaps focus on comfort or it could be better for off road drive (?)). Off road did not try, but the Forester has 2 modes on its X-Drive, whilst XV only has 1 mode. Forester feels a tad more sluggish vs the XV. Just my 2 sens from my test drive.

    Thanks for the honest review, Bobby. You nailed it with the point that the driving is not as dynamic or engaging like a BMW or even a Mazda. It's refreshing to find a like-minded car enthusiast, as most people including some YT car reviewers would praise modern Subarus for their handling, when they are actually lacking the dynamics only to be assisted by the AWD system. The car doesn't throw you away at the bends not because of the handling dynamics, but the AWD corrects it, hence feels artificial.

    • @boboiboy9350
      @boboiboy9350 8 місяців тому +1

      wrong 😮mazda is more artificial due to the g vectoring technology Subaru body roll isn’t obvious due to the legendary boxer engine which sits at lower place hence naturally lower down the centre of gravity and its symmetrical awd😮Awd only 😊offers far superior better traction on road

    Spartan. Been considering the XV and Cross...the XV clearly a winner since it inherits a lot of Forester design ethos...gonna wait for the new Crosstrek facelift and hopefully they still keep the NA 2.0 along with the new Hybrid...
