    Great information. I have had my 23 Forester for one week and have been pouring through the instruction books totalling 1000 pages for Australia and I was still
    confused about some aspects of the vehicles operation until I viewed your informative video!
    Even though my past working years was in the electronic fields, I am amazed at how complicated a new car is these days, not having bought a new car for 28 years.
    My first point of enquiry for anything I don't understand about the vehicle in the future, will be your video instead of the instruction book. Thank You.

    This is the best video I have seen for the 2023 Subaru Forester Touring. I was confused about some of the features until I saw this video. I like the detailed yet simple description of each features. Also appreciate the 'what if' scenarios and how to activate/deactivate certain features depending on your preference. Thank you so much!

    I traded in a 2017 Forester Touring and thought I had a handle on the operation. There is so much more technology with the 2023. This was a great tutorial , but I can see me coming back to it many times. Great job!

    Very thorough. Thank you. The quiet giant. A diamond in the rough. It's seemingly simplistic but it's chock full of greatness. Thought I'd look into the Limited and then decided to see what the Touring offered. I'm impressed with Subaru. I've never had an opinion either way. Now that I'm looking into them I like what I see. I'm still deciding between Subaru and another brand. At this point I think a test drive will have to be the deciding factor.

    One of the best demonstrations I have watched. My dealer offers an hour help session after having the car 2 weeks. After watching your video I feel prepared with my questions. Love my car so far. Thank you!

    SOOO glad I found this. I bought a 24 Forester Sport last week and I was on info overload from the purchasing papers before we got around to going through the dash lessons. I re-learned a lot from watching your video and I'm probably going to watch it a half dozen more times before I feel like I know what I'm doing when I start pushing buttons. I had completely forgotten what the AVH button did. I'll try that today.
    My trade in was an 09 Vibe with a 5-speed manual, crank windows and manual door locks but only 80K miles. The only tech features on that car were mirror adjustments, ABS brakes and a CD player. I'm going to miss the CD player.

    Awesome video. We actually bought a 2024 Ascent which needed a minor fix and we were given a 2023 Forester Touring loaner car. The manuals were all sealed and I had no clue what the road light with the snowflake meant. I was concerned I hit something when I left the dealership I shouldn’t have. Your video covered in perfect. I’ll make sure I look to see if you have one on our Ascent.

    Just bought the touring edition. Quiet impressed with it so far. Not so much with the 40 grand price. Your video is very helpful with better understand this thing and all its features. I can now see that becoming fully familiar with it will take some time. One suggestion, clean up your demo car before showing it. Thanks so much for your video.

      That's not a demo car. That's a brand new Forester. We literally just finished plowing the lots and putting cars back from plowing. Can't clean them after every test drive when it's negative degree weather.
      Congrats on your new ride, though! I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many years and many many miles!

    Very helpful and thorough. Can this car be started remotely? Do you have a video about that question or do you need a special key file?

    • @howtosubaru
      @howtosubaru  Рік тому +2

      There are two options for remote start.
      One is basic remote start being installed by your dealer. It's a single button remote.
      The other option is the subscription based services that allows you to start the car from your phone, set the temperature when you start it, and even turn on the rear defrost.

    • @cherylbluestone
      @cherylbluestone Рік тому

      @@howtosubaru Thanks! I wonder how expensive it is to have it installed. My car is usually garaged overnight, but it seems like a great convenience in very cold or very hot weather to start the car and warm it up or cool it down. BTW, I agree with someone who posted below. I was lost about many of the functions and features until seeing this video!

    • @howtosubaru
      @howtosubaru  Рік тому +1

      @cherylbluestone if you have a newer model (2019 or newer) with push button start, the remote start from your phone is available. If you live in Massachusetts, however, it is not available due to local laws.

    I Love my 19 Forester Touring with the saddle Brown interior.
    In the spring of 24 Subaru is coming out with the redesigned 2025 Forester available with the Rav / Venza hybrid system. It should have 209hp and get 37mpg city.
    I’ll then sell my 19 and buy a new hybrid.

    I see that yours has the 33 year old depressing grey (and the death black), which became popular in 1990. 🤮🤮🤮.
    I’ve had several compliments on my Saddle Brown Leather interior.
    Those puky grey and black interiors have been forced down everyone’s throats for more than 1/2 my life.
    We REFUSE to buy another vehicle with those dark, drab, depressing, boring interior colors.

    • @howtosubaru
      @howtosubaru  Рік тому

      @gncc600 but then you wouldn't get an insurance discount. Same reason auto start stop always defaults to on, and forward collision prevention defaults to on. You get lower premiums for the eyesight, and auto start stop is required to pass California emissions standard. So, they default to on to be most effective.
