When your friends were visiting and you showed the Shambles I was very happy. I think all Americans will appreciate the care of historical buildings. Being from Los Angeles and the total disregard for history I love Britain and any place that looks after their history. You two are great.

My hubby has been watching Jackson hole for years, lovely jubbly 😁🥰 You were naughty not following the instructions of filling up your new kettle, boiling it, then throw the water away before using it. So leigh was correct saying his tea smelt strange....😵💫
Loved seeing you walk round Filey, brought back many happy memories of me being there with my son who’s now 31. Looking forward to your apartment vlogs, as I really do love your apartment. You do have the best of both worlds.

Your new kettle made me chuckle. We often joke about putting our caravan kettle on as we go out for a walk so it will be boiled for when we get back 😂. You will get used to it xx

Can’t believe you guys are walking around filey, we have a holiday house a stones through from where you parked! Beautiful untouched seaside town in the U.K! Would recommend charlottes restaurants for those who end up visiting and also the cobblers if you like a proper bitter or cider, small local ran micro pub! Usually watching you guys in Florida while we’re in the rain at filey 😂 if you’re ever struggling for parking guys let me know !!
Filey is one of my favourite coastal places in East Yorkshire. I love the fish restaurant in the centre. - We park in the exact same place 😅

I love Filey. It was because of you guys that we visited a few years ago and have been back a few times. I like sitting in Glen Gardens cafe looking at the sea between the trees. We love Yorkshire so much that our house is up for sale and we are hoping to move there in the future. We also love Beverley so that is the area where we are hoping to move to.
I've just been watching your Cornwall vlogs from 2022, it's been quite interesting seeing your take on places, I live in crantock, it's very busy in summer 😎

If you are going to be in Seattle, it would be well worth a trip to Whistler! It’s stunning in the summer as well as the winter and of course you would get to visit Vancouver!!!

New Kettle. Its all about Power and Energy. Under the laws of physics it takes a fixed amount of energy to raise the temperature of a fixed volume of water by a fixed number of degrees. In English it means that 500ml of water to be raised from 22c to 100c will require the same amount of energy regardless of source. Your new kettle is rated at 900W to may take 5 minutes to bring the water to the boil. A kettle of 1800W will to it in 2.5minutes and a 3000w in just over a minute (the energy used is Watts x Time) - in these cases in a controlled setting it will always be the same value. The coffee maker might be rated at 3000W or 3KW but heats constantly small quantities of water and expels them as it boils the next lot - when it is finished it might be quicker but the same "energy" will have been consumed. I am guessing the new kettle is rated at 900W so that its pull on a 3KW inverter (in campers) etc is spread over a longer period at a lower rate to prevent a trip out. The power consumption is the same and the draw on the battery is identical.
Watching this on an uncharacteristically snowy day here (6” or so). My American kettle takes maybe four or five minutes to reach boiling, but that doesn’t seem all that long to me. So I am able to enjoy a cup of tea as I write this. 🫖
Dont forget a kettle is also helpful for washing and cooking too, when youre in need of warm water if you cant get it from the tap.

My niece owns Filey veterinary 😊 she’s just bought a house at Cayton Bay, but her parents still live in Filey, on Rutland Street, we love the food festival at Easter weekend, 😊

Filey looks like such a nice day trip. Also, some appliances have toxic chemicals in them. be careful. Leigh you may have been smelling the chemicals in your tea that came from the kettle. In the US they have to put a warning on them. Im not sure if they do the same in the UK. but i was so surprised when I researched it.
The flashing light on that kettle would drive me crazy.
It doesnt flash in real life, it was the camera that made it look like it did
I do like Filey and the fish and chips look good but i thought the seagull was going to have it 😂

Leigh, you had me really laughing when you were talking to the seagulls, telling them to get lost and calling them noisy Bl*****s ha ha, the you saw the magnet with Chip Thieving B******. They were certainly going to come after you lol
It's been snowing all day here in East Tennessee. So far, I think we have between seven and nine inches. Last year, we didn't get any measurable snow. We went to the grocery store yesterday, and I telework on Mondays and Tuesdays anyway, I don't plan to go anywhere. It is so surreal. The valley got a lot of snow and the Smoky Mountains got mostly rain. It doesn't make sense.

Just listened to your Filey Vlog re painting your van and Leigh mentioned putting stripes or a picture on your van.
I'm currently doing a Pug Boxer up and have been told that when you go through the swap over from van to Campervan they really want to see stripes or similar to prove its been done properly .
No idea why, but bear this in mind when you start painting it,also keep as many pictures as possible to show what you have done etc.
Think this is why you see so many DIY jobbies covered on random stripe patterns.

My daughter is good at parallel parking in her fiat she called Fiona. The beach in Filey looked good. Growing up on the Isle of Wight we went to sandy beaches every summer but Southsea and every beach up to Brighton are pebbles, I hate seagulls they are so huge and noisy 😂
You can still take kettle back under guarantee, but you need a lightweight for van & need to be right wattage for van
In filey there's a lovely little cafe called frothies....really nice and cheap.

When we were went to primrose, & had a day in filey we parked outside the block of toilets, got some seafood , we were there September same yr, think you were in florida or out with girls

I’d say that £7.50 is really reasonable price, chip shops near us (Warrington) charge between £6-£7.50 just for a fish that’s nowhere near as big.
Just flicked onto the Jackson Hole cam and it reminded me of when I went skiing in Breckenridge Colorado. I had to go check their webcam too now found my new thing.

You might want to check it out but, they are saying you no longer need to do 10000 steps that 7500 does just as much benefit.
