Minninglow is a hill in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire, crowning the hill are a Neolithic chambered tomb and two Bronze Age bowl barrows.
Along the way, there is history from the early Neolithic to the Victorian Industrial Revolution and the beautiful but stark landscape the peak district is known for

Brilliant but only caught the last few mins my friend...Will check the full vid later to make sure you have done it right🤣...Cheers Les.🙂👍
Ha ha ok Les awaiting approval 😅🤣
Yes all checks done...Excellent work...the two vids my son Jon and I did on High Peak Cinematography echo most of the details including further digs by other archaeologists including the dig where an amateur nearly got killed by the stones and hence the filling in of the gravel...for years I had considered the what you called a ring cairn just off the track near the embankment as a very old dew pond maybe connected to the builders of the CHPR but wasn't convinced enough to actually call it a cairn so I am glad you have named it as one...Yes a well earned 10/10 my friend...loved it...Cheers Les...HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours.🙂👍
Thank you Les i did a more detailed a few years on just Minninglow but was a bit shit so I wanted to do an explore of the surrounding area, the cairn/ pond thing does look ring cairn ish I thought but I can find nothing about it anywhere, have a great new year mate
Hear you had an earthquake today your way Les
Brilliant visual journey & very informative. I have been to the nine ladies you mentioned. IV just started a UA-cam channel, it's really just me goofing around in Wales, raw footage no nice music or narrations 😂 hope you enjoy some of my explorations as I have yours. 💯👍
Glad you enjoyed it, yes nine ladies used to be regular camp till the youngsters set a rave up, but not for me on a solstice, if I want loud music ill go to one😆
I will pop over and have a look, love Wales and visit quite regularly as my parents live there👍
@@Traveler13 I'm not far from Tywyn LL36
I know of some iron or bronze age hill forts round hear, Castle-y-bear is an amazing place & a few other hidden gems I'll show you. pencil it in for the 2 weeks of dry weather we sometimes get in summer 😆🤣👍

Happy new year
What a great site. What was the atmosphere there like?
Windy at the time but i like it there as been before, not oppressive or anything
Very informative vid.
It must be 12 or 15 years since I last visited the High Peak Trail and whenever I did, it was always on my bike
Shortly after passing the fenced-off crane, you came upon the lime kiln - was this on the path off the trail to the cairns? Because of the bike, I never took that path but I've promised myself a return trip and this time it'll be on foot.
Hi yes after the crane you come to the entrance to the field to Mining Low, as you go along that to the right you see where it was built up over the valley and the tunnel under it, the lime kiln is just past the tunnel, you may actually be able to get to it from the path if you carry on a little, is that helpful👍
That's great, thanks 👍
It’s pronounced like grinning low but with an M
and no r?
Correct. Another great video. Cheers
